It was good overall, maybe 3.5. The serving of dan dan noodles was not large, but it was not surprising given the price. The sesame kale serving was huge and pretty good. The fried chive pockets were okay (the egg was a little off texture wise, not sure if it was due to the source). I do have high standards for chive pockets but I also can't get them where I live, so this was overall pretty good. It was busy but things moved fairly quickly

So good! Was starving and craving something umami and filling. Came here for a late lunch and over ordered for one person, but no regrets. The most surprisingly delicious thing was the kale salad with sesame dressing. All other kale salads pale in comparison to this one, not even sure when I'll be able to have it again so it will now haunt my dreams. It was so good!! I ordered the beef noodles, one of the steamed pork & shrimp dumplings, and pork dumplings in chili oil. All very yummy and the wrapping was thick and chewy, with plenty of filling. The prices were reasonable for the quality. Would def go back next time I'm in the area.

Amazing place close to the Paramount and Seattle Summit convention center. Open on a Monday when many other places are closed. Wonderful dumplings, noodles, and bao buns and more. You order via we code at the table and sometimes things get lost in translation. Ordered extra peanuts on yibin noodles but didn't receive again I think lost in translation, worth it anyways! So good!Had to bring to the servers attention we didn't get one item we ordered but rectified quickly. Warm noodles and bao buns are perfect in cold wet Seattle! Would recommend!

Stopped in for dinner during my stay in Seattle. There was quite a few people waiting for a seat so we joined the waitlist. After a 20 minute wait, we were seated. We ordered and enjoyed: chicken and veg pan fried won ton Dan dan noodles pork xiao long bao pork and shrimp potsticker All of the dishes were great! I did wish their menu had photos to help make choosing my dishes easier. Servers were friendly and helpful when I asked for recommendations. Cool spot for dim sum in the area!

I really like this chain. It's a less high-end Americanized dumpling spot. The spicy beef roll (not very spicy) is super salty and needs some sweetness (like plum sauce or hoisin) and freshness (chinese chives) to balance out the salt. The chicken wonton soup is wonderful. The wonton dough is super fresh. This order was around $20 for 2 items but of course $40 with Seattle's exhorbitant delivery charges, haha. They packaging is beautiful and they really take care with the to-go packaging too.

I wouldn't look for the warmest welcome but they aren't unpleasant. It's a no frills all straight forward here to just eat, chill and enjoy vibe. The server took a little minute to take out menu so be sure to set it where the server can see it. They won't come check if it's not apparent from our experience. All of the food was pretty good. Definitely a great Din Tai Fung alternative that saves money. There isn't any cocktails but the beer was amazing. Be sure to try the soup dumplings and the Dan Dan noodles were my favorite. They weren't very spicy but that's one of my harder critiques. Of and the music was great. It was mixed jams but all hits for everyone.

We order through a QR code now, which is strange since there were employees just milling around. Prices have increased quite a bit but food still tastes good. They seat people so close together which is also strange since there's so much seating. It was a bit noisy since it was early dinner and the restaurant was pretty full. At least there's a reward program.

Dough Zone Dumpling House in downtown Seattle has a warm, modern feel that makes it great for both a quick bite and a relaxed meal. *AMBIANCE* The restaurant is clean and bright, and the space felt inviting but not too crowded where you're touching elbows with your neighbors. *FOOD* I really enjoyed the Q-baos which is their modern take on the traditional sheng jian bao. It was crispy on the bottom, soft on top, and filled with savory goodness. Highly also recommend the pork xiao long bao which are delicate and juicy. We also tried the beef pancake roll, another flavorful dish, though the meat seemed a bit undercooked. I always love a good potsticker and dough zone's comes in an assortment of flavors (i.e. beef, shrimp, veggie, etc.) Either way you can't go wrong with any of the dishes. *SERVICE* Service is quick, attentive, and handled our large party efficient. Even during peak hours, the staff keeps things moving smoothly. Truly elite comfort food! Overall, definitely give it a visit. I'm already plotting my return when I'm back on the West Coast!

Dough Zone is consistently great!! The dumplings are so tasty, and cooked to perfection, which nowadays is harder to find than you'd think. The xiao long bao and pan-fried buns were amaaazing and everything we tried was really good too! The service matched the food (really good too). It was pretty busy but the food came out at a good pace and the staff handled things very smoothly. It's a casual spot, but seems to be well operated. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, with a nice setup that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your food. Portions and pricing are both fair, especially if you're sharing a few plates (as we did). If you're in the mood for dumplings and good dumplings and more, this place delivers every time!! A solid 5-star experience for me!

There's a waitlist to join when you come in. It requires scanning a QR code. Food was good as usual. They ran out of the pumpkin Xiao long bao though so I was a bit disappointed. Whats nice is that I got to choose what my free item was and use my birthday reward of $10. Many tables but kinda cozy. I usually come here after conventions and it doesn't disappoint.

09-01-2015 -Green Onion Pancake $4.15- room temperature -Banana Crepe with Whipped Cream $6.95- also room temperature -Pork & Shrimp Potstickers $7.30- even they were room temperature, sill yummy! -Pork Wontons in Chicken Soup $7.90- this dish came out first. It was hot, the right temperature. Service: Subpar. I brought my niece here for lunch. Her dish, pork wontons in chicken soup, was the first one to arrive at the table. The rest of our orders took 10min; they were left unattended before serving to us. Also, the first time my party and I were here, I had shared with them how much I enjoyed having crushed ginger as one of the ingredients in my dipping sauce. This time around, ginger was not present. Our waiter completely forgot to give us some. I knew something was off but didn't figure out until we had finished our meal. My experience this time around was below average : (

A west coast chain place....this place is great for a chain restaurant. Everything made with a much more personal place. So, don't let that chain thought taint your judgement of the place. Everything we had here was fairly darn good to excellent. The broth in the one noodle dish was fantastic. Nice nest cool contemporary atmosphere. Takes a little time coming out of the kitchen.but hey...everything is a lot of hand assembly. Pretty good place...try it out!

Was seated fairly quickly. Nothing super extravagant but I left satisfied. It was a lively and social environment. Food was good. Pretty good experience.

From the time you sit down to the time you leave, can it be gone in an hour?

Yes, you can finish in one hour!

Do they have any milk alternatives?

If you are referring to the milk tea. We do not.

How do I call restaurant? All numbers seem old...

Try 206-682-6666, they open at 11AM.

Are the vegetarian options any good?

I can't vouch for the vegetarian option, but everything is made by hand and fresh so I would presume the flavors would be equally delicious as veggies options.

    Do they take reservations?

They also have a wait list on Yelp. Highly recommend using it if you're going during peak times (even if you're going solo)

Do they have Dim Sum carts or just regular menu?

    Regular menu!

    Do they have parking?

No they do not. However, you can park at the convention center, which is $9/hour from what I can remember. Or you can find street parking.

Not only that, but it's also the most affordable with a price-per-piece around $1.35 for most items. The Siu Mai, BBQ Pork Bun, Custard Bun, and Shrimp Cheung Fun are personal standouts. With that said, this is not your typical dim sum restaurant. You'll find no leisurely rotating tables or endless pots of tea. Instead it operates more like a bakery, optimized for takeout. This seems to be a point of disconnect among other reviews here. Service is focused on efficiency, but you can take as long as you need to decide what you want by using the paper ordering sheet and referencing pictures on the wall. There are tables you can usually snag to dine in with, but expect everything to be boxed regardless. Go in understanding this, and you'll have an excellent time. overall 5+/5

Like the Food Walk itself, this place gets very crowded during peak lunch hours when they're open; every seat was taken and everyone else - myself included - got our goodies for takeout. You pay depending on how much you get; for example, one piece of siu mai is $1.30 each as of this writing. All other food items follow in a similar suit. We got the following: - Egg tart: my favorites though they have cookie crusts. I do prefer flaky crusts but the egg yolk has the right amount of sweet to balance the crust. - Siu mai: fresh and piping hot. Meat was also fresh and didn't have a weird aftertaste. - Green onion bun: each one is pretty big, and there's just enough green onions on them to distinguish between similar buns like the baked BBQ pork bun. - Sponge cake: didn't eat this myself but parents thought this was all right though a little too set. - Baked BBQ pork bun: my dad's favorite. BBQ pork is sweet and complements the bun itself. - Meat bun turnover (Shanghai pan-fried buns): I always like getting these in places like Din Tai Fung and Dough Zone. The ones here are even better, with a ton of filling in each bun and a nice crisp from the pan fry. A classic staple of Chinatown that serves awesome dim sum that edges out the competition pretty well considering dining in has gotten a lot more expensive lately! I see myself coming back a lot more, beyond the number of times I've gone here since high school, of course.

I had my all time favorite dish at a Hong Kong café cuisine, gon caau ngau ho (乾炒牛河), aka beef chow fun, along with a childhood favorite drink, iced Horlicks. I liked how everything moved at a quick pace here and yet the staff were still friendly. The best part was that no one stopped by to ask how the food was while your mouth was full, because they already knew the food was good. The beef chow fun was just as good as the ones back home. It was savory and full of wok hei (iykyk). The bean sprouts were added at just the right time, so they were still a slightly crunchy. The sliced beef was tender too. If you like adding extra spice, be sure to try the crunchy chili sauce on the table. It was awesome, fragrant, spicy, and full of flavor. Just be careful not to choke on it, I did, and it wasn't fun. I hadn't had Horlicks in twenty years, and the first sip brought back so many memories. Be sure to stir it well and maybe wait until the ice melts a little, otherwise it may be slightly too sweet. My partner is a vegetarian. He ended up ordering the curry vegetable rice and added a fried egg. He said the curry was delicious. I tried a bite of it and agreed. I think there may have some coconut milk in it because it was rich and creamy. The rice was a little too dry to my liking. They have a bunch of seating and this spot does get super packed, but it's all part of the experience :)

Came to try this place because I heard it is beloved by Seattle-ites…read more.. Completely disappointing... Ordered the Seafood Chow Mein, I attached a picture of how it is depicted on their website. It portrays it as a HK Style Crispy Fried Chow Mein with Seafood ontop. What they ended up giving us was just plain fast-food-style Chow Mein... With no seafood other than cut up pre-frozen fish balls, etc. LOL Absolutely disingenuous to depict your dish like that on the website, And for $25....?? I would happily pay around $10.25 for this I think. $25 is absolutely horrid for the portion and the quality they give, feeling completely scammed after this one. It is frankly embarrassing that they handed us this for $25.
