    Nasty old salad
    Jen E.

Yikes. Came here and ordered a veggie primavera pizza slice, pepperoni slice and their just salad supposedly made with "fresh" greens. What a disappointment. I get served a week old looking container of brownish shredded iceburg lettuce with old mushy tomatoes and horrible tasting cucumbers. 6 dollars for this garbage. The veggie pizza wasn't bad but the pepperoni was burnt to a crisp. Also the girl at the register acted like she hated her life. Not coming here again. Pretty pricey for trailer park food.

Worst pizza ever ! Tasted like cardboard.

I have been coming to Laughlin for years I always eat at the buffet same food same thing different day, today we decided to try this little gem. So glad I did . The food was so good, but better then the food was the service . Jared what a doll. He is one of the best and I do not say that lightly servers I have had. Thank you Jared for your recommendations and you're beautiful personality. I truly hope you get recognize as I think what you do is more than just a job . Judy and Gordo from LA

The restaurant must be working hard, after so many negative reviews. We didn't have an issue at all. We had a party of 4, on a Saturday night, and were sat quickly at 7:20. The manager stated that our server was busy but would be with us shortly. That didn't take long at all. She was definitely hustling and seemed tired or slammed, but friendly and efficient, nonetheless. We ordered two small pizzas, eggplant parmesan and lasagna. The breadsticks are on point and the rest of the food was hot, delicious, and filling. I had a glass of Sangria, that was also enjoyable. The prices were fair for the quantity and quality.

Was very disappointed that the restaurant apparently doesn't close until 10 and I arrived at 9:15 to grab a quick bite and was told by staff with a snooty attitude that they were already closed. 1 Star on customer service, 1 star because staff just wanted to go home early.

Basically chopped up lettuce with hardly any tomatoes for $9.00

Weak pizza especially for $4.99 a slice. Lettuce for $9.00. Unfortunately we were in a Rush to get to the concert so we have no choice but to eat here inside Tropicana Hotel.

Although I had dined here years ago, and the food was good, that was under previous management. So, when bidden by our Laughlin next door neighbors to dine here with them less than a month ago, we agreed. And I was pleasantly pleased at the results. Complimentary Garlic Breadsticks glistening with garlic butter were light, soft, and delicious--better than those served at other establishments which highly tout their breadsticks; and probably the best of this species of food that I have sampled to date. I opted to add an unlimited Soup & Salad Bar to my chosen entree of Sausage Puttanesca, which consisted of tapered lengths of soft Red & Green Peppers, Onions, Black Olives, tomatoes, and herbs tossed with spaghetti, and turned out to be a great though somewhat unusual treat. The Salad Bar was not notably distinguished but contained enough ingredients to offer up a very credible and satisfying salad with choices of several dressings. But the Italian Wedding Soup that came with it was tasty oily broth punctuated by numerous small meatballs and long shreds of spinach. A good-looking homemade Minestrone Soup was also available, and my dinner was kicked up a notch with a starter of splendid Crab-stuffed Mushrooms which were very large, cheesy, and topped by numerous granules of crisp bacon. This was a very filling and satisfying meal. Service was very good, and seating comfortable in an informal setting. 4-1/2 stars overall!

The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The all you can eat pasta bowl combo is amazing. It was $11 or $12 for unlimited bread sticks, unlimited salad and soup bar and unlimited pasta. The only downside was it was an extra $1 to change the type of pasta. Still a great deal. Also $9 wine carafes- that was about 4 glasses! The ambience is nice-although everyone walking by can gawk at you eating because of the open concept of the restaurant. Overall this is a good, affordable place to eat.

Plus, on more than one occasion Diane and I had previously arrived here around 8:30 p.m. and were warmly greeted, seated, and enjoyed our ordered meals. But this Sunday night two days after Halloween, after we had crossed the Colorado River on the Don Laughlin Bridge and had driven for half an hour from our home in Laughlin, we arrived at 8:25 p.m. only to find the restaurant dark and locked, with nobody inside. Granted this was the first day of a time change in California and Nevada from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time. But this circumstance should have had no effect on Arizona, whose time zone remained the same as the day before. Disappointed, we went in search of another place to eat dinner, and after encountering the kitchen staff of China Panda in the restaurant's parking lot about to leave for home half an hour earlier than its posted closing hour, finally wound up at reliable Black Bear Diner. We were the only patrons seated in the entire capacious restaurant until a few other people walked inside about 15 minutes later This spooky night felt like Halloween, but the tricks and added hunger we experienced occurred just a bit later.

The second problem, the food was terrible. Mother ordered lasagna, I got the Alfredo. Her lasagna tasted terrible, like someone had mixed barbecue sauce into the marinara. My Alfredo's sauce was way too oily, due most likely due to having too much butter. Third problem, drinks. The water tasted like it came from the tap, mother's water did not have any ice, and her Raspberry Tea was warm. Fourth problem, the cook was more focused on the ball game than actually cooking food. The only problem we encountered was that a window table was not ready for us until thirty minutes after the time of our reservation. But the river view was worth the wait! We began with a complimentary Bread Basket that included excellent lavosh, and a Shrimp Cocktail Supreme sporting five shrimps. This time the crustations were meaty and flavorful dipped in a two-tone sauce. We requested and received extra lavosh with no resistance. Next up for me was a good French Onion Soup Au Gratin with a large crouton laden with a mix of Parmesan and Swiss Cheeses. Then I tried the Steak Diane Soup that came with Diane's order. It was the best version of this soup that I have sampled to date. Tender chunks of beef dissolved in the mouth carried along by a sea of broth that tasted like Mushroom Gravy. A complex dinner salad followed, with Mixed Greens (no Iceberg Lettuce at all), Grape Tomatoes, Artichoke Hearts, Bleu Cheese Dressing and Bleu Cheese Crumbles. It was here over 25 years ago that I first tasted wonderful Bleu Cheese Crumbles in the same type of salad. After cleansing our palates with Lemon Sorbet, for mains I had lean Veal Piccata with Capers and Spaghetti slathered with a delectable Lemon Cream Sauce, while Diane enjoyed her usual order of Coquilles Saint Jacques. This time the included Scallops were very small but the Shrimps were very big, and portions were generous. For dessert we splurged on two orders of delicious Bananas Foster prepared tableside, and I had a Decaf Coffee. Richard, our server, did a wonderful job of flambeeing this treat, that by this time was accompanied by a few bursting fireworks that were visible to us just across the Colorado River from our perches above. The elegant ambiance of the restaurant this evening could not have been better. We left in time to observe most of the Rockets Over the River fireworks show from our parked car on a hilltop overlooking the Laughlin Strip well above Casino Drive. It was a magical night!

Our waiter, Charles, deserves 6 stars for his service alone! He was insanely knowledgeable, funny, and didn't shy away from our alcohol induced antics. He even asked the chef if I could sub an item (chef said nope but I appreciated his effort). The wine is a bit overpriced for what it is, I sent the image of their bottle list to someone more familiar than myself and they confirmed that the price is less at a high end restaurant near LA. The appetizers were delicious. Overall, the food was good but I found the appetizer better than the main course. Everyone else had giant portions of food and mine was just a few bites. For the price, the main course left me feeling a bit disappointed. The dessert was good, drinks were good, and the view was absolutely the best part.
