Yikes. Came here and ordered a veggie primavera pizza slice, pepperoni slice and their just salad supposedly made with "fresh" greens. What a disappointment. What happened to this place?? It used to be delicious. We went on a semi busy day where the bottomless pasta day is available. Well we ordered that and let's just say it wasn't good... The bread that came with it isn't good either... We had a nice waitress but she had a whole side to herself with no help... She did her best and did a great job. The pasta sauce was just gross. They don't have their meat sauce anymore and it was hard to get through. The portions are tiny (which is fine since you can have more) but we asked if we could switch to Alfredo because the marinara sauce was just awful. The Alfredo was tolerable but it wasn't restaurant quality either. I like the stuff I get out of the jars at safeway better. They let us switch which was super nice. They must know the pasta sauce isn't good. I don't think we will be back. read more

Years ago, this was a terrific Italian restaurant with a wide-ranging menu of pizza, pasta, and outstanding Italian favorites that I can't spell, all at prices that reflected the quality and service. Sadly the only thing left are the prices. $9.99 for a six-inch meatball sub. Also $9.99 for an "Italian" salad--in a plastic tub, with a plastic packet of salad dressing and three 1-ounce plastic cups of grated cheese (that suspect came out of a green Kraft cardboard container), six or seven small slices of pepperoni, and some pickled assorted beans. Also $9.99, an "Italian beef dip" sub. Do you see a pattern? There is a selection of fountain drinks or bottled iced tea or beer. The beer selection is mostly light beers with one import--Corona, in an "Italian" place! Ok, I've dumped on this place pretty harshly. This reflects, I'm afraid, my sadness at what used to be. The rolls for our subs and the garlic knots were most-likely prepared onsite and quite good. The staff that we interacted with were welcoming, cheerful, and possibly the best part of our visit. Nice, nice folks! What used to be awesome table service--they even had a singing waiter for awhile, is now counter service. Place your order, find your table, and pick up your meal when they call your number. What used to be an amazing Italian restaurant is now a decent sandwich, pizza, pasta shop. The restaurant must be working hard, after so many negative reviews. We didn't have an issue at all. We had a party of 4, on a Saturday night, and were sat quickly at 7:20. The manager stated that our server was busy but would be with us shortly. That didn't take long at all. She was definitely hustling and seemed tired or slammed, but friendly and efficient, nonetheless. We ordered two small pizzas, eggplant parmesan and lasagna. Although I had dined here years ago, and the food was good, that was under previous management. So, when bidden by our Laughlin next door neighbors to dine here with them less than a month ago, we agreed. And I was pleasantly pleased at the results. Complimentary Garlic Breadsticks glistening with garlic butter were light, soft, and delicious--better than those served at other establishments which highly tout their breadsticks; and probably the best of this species of food that I have sampled to date. I opted to add an unlimited Soup & Salad Bar to my chosen entree of Sausage Puttanesca, which consisted of tapered lengths of soft Red & Green Peppers, Onions, Black Olives, tomatoes, and herbs tossed with spaghetti, and turned out to be a great though somewhat unusual treat. The Salad Bar was not notably distinguished but contained enough ingredients to offer up a very credible and satisfying salad with choices of several dressings. But the Italian Wedding Soup that came with it was tasty oily broth punctuated by numerous small meatballs and long shreds of spinach. A good-looking homemade Minestrone Soup was also available, and my dinner was kicked up a notch with a starter of splendid Crab-stuffed Mushrooms which were very large, cheesy, and topped by numerous granules of crisp bacon. We knew Passiagos when they waited on you, had a salad bar, garlic bread included, good food and reasonable prices in a nice atmosphere. If you expect this now you will be highly disappointed as we were. Now there is no garlic bread unless you pay $7 for it, side salads that are chopped up iceberg with packet dressing that you pay for (no more salad bar, ever again they said), no more bottomless pasta bowl (btw the fettuccine was the most plain we have ever had)... very disappointed. The atmosphere has been ruined and feels like a cafeteria with no waiters or waitresses. We love Tropicana but won't EVER, EVER eat here again. One employee of the casino walked up to us while we were eating and when we gave our opinion (they asked) their response was, well the changes are results of COVID and we are a "to go" place now. We were also told the limit of one bowl of pasta (like I mentioned, no more bottomless) was "to help watch portions for some of us"... how rude, even if he thought it was a joke. We haven't been here in a long time but when we use to stay at the casino before Trop we loved eating here. We will for sure try it again if we are craving Italian food. This was a great place for pasta. We always enjoyed it. They do get busy and use to have a wait list many nights for dinner. Not sure if they do anymore but it would be a good idea to call to see if need reservations. We are not a fan of prepared chain Italian restaurants so we prefer to eat at a place like this. I will start by saying this - we got here about 830pm and our hostess took awhile to seat us (8-10 min) This is the worst part of my visit there. My expectations were very low considering past experiences with other places I have eaten at in Laughlin. Plus, it was kind of late when we arrived and it was close to closing. We were seated and immediately greeted by Mike (our server). He took our drink order and answered some random questions for us. When we asked him what he recommended - he didn't recommend the most expensive thing on the menu. He was very thorough on explaining everything on the menu. Mike also told us a couple of items he has tried were kind of dry once or twice when he ordered them, but still suggested them. We actually ordered one of the items he said was dry and it was perfect. Absolutely amazing! Everything we ordered was superb - the breadsticks we all agreed were much much better then Olive Garden. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The all you can eat pasta bowl combo is amazing. It was $11 or $12 for unlimited bread sticks, unlimited salad and soup bar and unlimited pasta. The only downside was it was an extra $1 to change the type of pasta. Still a great deal. Also $9 wine carafes- that was about 4 glasses! Great food and service! I've eaten at Passaggio's twice and both times I've enjoyed it. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. The first time I had all you can eat spaghetti. It was good and reasonably priced at $9.50. The second time, We had a party of 7 on the Fourth of July and we were quickly seated. I ordered the soup and salad and sampled the pizzas that my friends ordered. It was all delicious. Our waiter, Casey, was charming and very accommodating. This is in the Tropicana Hotel. The restaurant is casual and good for groups. I rate for food quality but I consider the price you are paying too. It has a basic salad bar and 2 soups. The salad part is average. Both the minestrone soup and the italian wedding soup were excellent. Several people had the unlimited pasta bowl and salad bar combo. For $10.99 it was a tremendous value. I tried two of the pastas and they were good. Service was good. We had a group of 10 and it worked well. The price was great for what you got and the food was good. read more

I have recommended this place for years. Last weekend we made our annual trip to Laughlin and on my birthday I chose to eat here as it has always been my favorite restaurant in town. The pasta used to be so good. I have always gotten the pasta bowl with arrabiata sauce and added cooked mushrooms and garlic to it. I was told they no longer will add my mushrooms even after I offered to pay. They told me I could grab some off the salad bar. As if I want cold uncooked mushrooms in my pasta. The sauce was watery and pretty bland. They skimp on the breadsticks as well. This was not worth my time, money, or birthday dinner of choice. Unfortunately we wont be back. We have been coming here every summer for the past 7 years or so, but I don't think we will be coming back. The food has always been good, but the past couple of years we have noticed that they skimp on the sauce. Then this year we see that they don't include meat sauce on the all you can eat pasta bowl any more. And if you want extra bread sticks, it will cost you $4.50(ish) for 2. The unlimited pasta bowl no longer offers bolognese as a sauce. It has been replaced with marinara. Also, this is the only meal where you can get soup and salad included. Any other entree is only served with two breadsticks. If you want to add soup and salad it will cost $6.50. No, that's not a typo. Spaghetti with bolognese is offered but for 12.50. Make reservations, because if you don't the hostesses Michaela & Vanessa will be extremely rude to you and your family. Both young ladies are extremely unprofessional, and lack customer services. Michaela seems to be a bit selective on which guest she seats first. Keep in mind, if Micaela is working the guest list, then you will not be seated accordingly to when you arrived or for that matter may not be seated at all. Michaela and Vanessa, where telling guest, including my family that the was no availability for us to eat, yet the place was empty. She also sat a family with several young children in two separate tables, which where on complete opposite sides of the restaurant. Luckily for us, the manager from the steakhouse, stepped in and basically accommodated us, the family that was separated, and the guest waiting in line. Once we were seated the service and the food was amazing. We had an amazing waitress by the name of Robin and a bus boy by the name of Jasan. Both these individual made our dinner worth the drama we endured prior to being seated. I highly recommend that these two girls, Micheala and Vanessa attend some type of customer service trianing or hostess training. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place when I got a craving for Italian while in Arizona...what are the odds, right? A few Google searches later and we were headed to Passaggio's. Remember this place is inside a casino, but it's the quintessential little, seemingly family ran, Italian place complete with carafes of wine, red and white checkered table covers and garlic bread baskets service with seating. While the soup and salad bar is a miss...you really don't want to fill up on a mediocre buffet...the bottomless pasta bowl was FABULOUS!! We asked the server if we could mix and match...she chuckled and told us that we could, but she didn't anticipate we'd be ordering a second bowl. I got the penne with basil cream sauce...I wanted to dive in and swim around in the creamy calorie laden goodness. My boyfriend ordered angel hair with bolognese sauce and was equally as pleased. The pasta to sauce ratio was spot on and the portions were out of control. Coupled with outstanding pasta the service was the best we'd received anywhere for a very long time. As much as I love staying at the hotel in have to say the food here at the passaggio was not good at all, the ravioli and manicotti tasted like they where over cooked. They forgot my daughters order which was plain noodles and that took 15 mins to get. The drinks we ordered took 20 mins to get and hey never offered and water for out wait or any refills. Both mine and my husbands order came with bread stick that we never got with our meals. We had to flag our waiter down 3 times to get his attention.
