This was one of my favorite restaurants in the area until tonight. My wife and I went in and were promptly seated and brought a glass of water. And that's as far as we got. The restaurant did not appear to be very busy. After sitting for 20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging that we were sitting there we got up and left, The man tending the bar (the same one who seated us) seen us leaving and said "Sorry man". Today I took a friend to pasta connection for a lunch date with a groupon. I have been here a few times already and love the pasta so I was looking forward to taking my friend here. I was completely let down by the service and although our meal was amazing as always, our service was terrible. We both had no silverware and had to grab off of other tables. Our server was annoyed when we asked for more or less mango syrup in our iced tea and was rude when we asked her for to go cups to take the tea with us. When we ordered our pizza and pasta to share we expected her to bring plates and serving spoons. We har to leave the table to ask for plates, more water, to go boxes, the check, and after waiting forever for our receipt, we realized we weren't getting one so we asked for to go bags and didnt leave tip since we never got our change from the bill. I will definitely come back because the food is really good here, but I won't have Aurora's service again. read more

We've gone here for years and enjoy the consistently tasty, quality food and unique blend of flavors. When you factor in reasonable prices it's absolutely 5-star. The nicely updated patio in back (with heaters) is very pleasant and our dog is welcome too. This evening I had salmon and vegetables ($24). It was as nice a filet as you'll find anywhere, cooked perfectly, and the seasoning was just sufficient to make it delicious without being unhealthy. My wife had gnocchi and loved it ($15). Tried this restaurant for the first time via Postmates. I always see it but have never tried it. I got the spaghetti Bolognese. It arrived hot. The sauce and noodles have good texture. I do wish it was all mixed together like it was in the photo. It came with plain noodles on the bottom with sauce piled on top. The sauce to noodle ratio was a bit off. If I could give this place ZERO STARS I would. Don't get me wrong, the food is excellent but the customer service is garbage. On 8/12 I ordered using a delivery service and placed a food allergy in the notes section. The food showed up with tomato sauce - the note was clearly missed. I reached out to postmates who only gave me a 3.00 credit on a meal I couldn't eat. I called the restaurant and spoke with a gentleman who said reorder and he will refund me for both meals. Fast forward to 13 days later. I have had to call in three times. Today I reached a very hostile woman who yelled at me. I couldn't get a word in, she continued to speak over me and then hung up on me. I attempted to dial back and she continued to hang up on me offering me no solution other than to call visa and request a charge back. I am in shock that this is how someone would treat a customer when I was just following up with what a previous employee told me. I will never support this business again. read more

On Tuesdays they have Empanada Special where you can get one for $1.50. Their Spinach Ravioli is delightful. Delicious food, great environment! Everything I've had has been delicious. The place is pretty easy to miss but definitely worth keeping an eye out. Their broccoli empanadas are so good, the pizza is huge, the pasta is delicious, the paella is more than enough for two people. Fantastico! Magnifico! Le amo Italia! My girlfriend heard about this place and we decided to go. Her recommendation was well worth it. It's a small hole-in-the-wall type restaurant (I almost drove past by it). With a wonderful small dining area. The menu has much selection and all looking like an excellent choice. I chose the chicken Parmigiana while my girlfriend got the seafood pasta. From the first bite, you can tell the food was made from love. Everything tasted like it was made from scratch. The waiters were super friendly and the the experience was well worth the bill. Sure, its a lil pricey, but well worth every penny. I want to keep this place low key, but I also want them to strive and stay open for many years to come. I'll be back and excited to try other foods on the menu! read more

*WARNING* I added an extra star for their Empanadas alone. Menu is dated and inconsistent here, but if you stick with the Argentine cuisine you are better off. Their Italian cooking has issues. And on top of that, they raised their menu prices around 20% since last year, making most of it overpriced now. The only thing I enjoy enjoy here are their $2.25 fried Empanadas ($1.50 on Tuesdays). I prefer them baked, and the breading is a bit too oily here, but still tasty and a good value. The Beef is by far their best, followed by the Ham & Cheese. The beef is ground, seasoned wonderfully, along with chunks of hardboiled egg. Very tasty. The only Empanada I avoid here is the Spinach -- spinach canned and stringy, needs seasoning and more cheese. Skip it. Now for the rest. Corners are being cut here, cheap bought-in ingredients are being used. Meatballs served with their spaghetti are from a bag..Sad. Their complimentary bread is a hard French roll. I've never had one come fresh, always hard with included icy hard butter packs but a tasty chimichurri (common extra oily version). On my last visit I had the $9 Chorizo sandwich, and it was a mess -- bread cooked until rock hard, sausage overcooked until hard, dry rubber, tomatoes unripe, it was so bad I could not get through half of it. Fries I paid $1.75 more for were cheap bagged and inedible, like a bad McDonald's rip off. I've also had the $15 House Special beef tortellini in alfredo sauce with a dollop of beef sauce on top. I wasn't as impressed as other Yelpers have been. First the cook was too long, I prefer more al denté. The beef inside was mush, tasted as if they had been frozen after making. Plus they're swimming is sauce, both of which aren't all that flavorful. Service varies depending on server, but long waits are common, and the kitchen is even slower. Last visit we had to finally stop another server just to get our check, after waiting a good half hour for our entrees. Open since 1983 it has it's regulars, usually enjoying a glass of wine with their Spanish-speaking friends. But the menu is tired, cooking is subpar, dining room dated and service could be more on point. That is a lot that needs improving. read more

The bottle is tiny and I would have finished it in about 2 minutes, but still fun to try since you are in an Argentinian restaurant! ** PASTA ** PASTA CONNETION SPECIALE: tortellini cooked to perfection in Alfredo sauce and a light topping of meat sauce. This equals PINK sauce!!! My favorite is that the pasta was not so filling since they are smaller bites and the pink sauce is very creamy and rich. Me and my friends have been so excited about this, we've already been back twice, once for breakfast, once for dinner. mmmm thinking about it makes me want to go again, right now. I don't know what it is about this place, but they do Italian really well. I have a 100% Italian grandmother whose profession was a chef, and I love this place. I'm not sure of the story, but the owners must hale from Argentina, as they sell Argentinian goods in store and serve Argentinian items like empanadas. The food is rich and delicious, i always order the paglia e fieno, a mixture of spinach and egg fettuccine in a cream sauce with mushroom and Italian sausage. Warning, extremely rich! Last visit my friend had the ravioli (i believe they are made there) in a cream sauce with a dab or marinara, delicious! When we stopped in for breakfast that was also good, if you order the home potatoes, its like a whole other entree, it has mushrooms and lots of cheese! mmm This new location is much bigger than the older 19th location, and also has a bar, with beer on TAP. read more

Not good. I had ravioli which was just ok. My hubs had roasted lemon chicken which he said makes KFC look gourmet. His veggies were also undercooked. My main issue here was the service. We walked in and nobody greeted us. I noticed at least FIVE empty tables along with two tables filled with large parties of people. Two people were sitting on chairs at the front. They told me they were waiting for a table and the wait would be "15 minutes". What??? The dining room It's FULL of empty tables! Whatever. The two people ahead if us were seated. Nobody talked to us. We waited about 10 minutes until somebody came over and told us the wait would be "15 minutes" since they were waiting for a reservation to arrive. We waited another 10 minutes and were seated. Hmmmm. Not a good start. We ordered, ate our food and I had a birds eye view of the front door. Not a single soul arrived after us and the five empty tables in the dining room remained empty the entire time we were there. I realize this is a smaller establishment and they had two large parties while we were there but making us wait when you have empty dining room tables is not acceptable. The food was meh. Small family restaurant. This was a great restaurant. I was a little skeptical with the little kid on the cover of the menu. To start off, they had delicious bread with like an olive oil vinagerette with pesto. Amazing!!! I had the chicken parm. Just like a Chicken Parm should be made. Just the right crisp. I felt as though I was taken to little Italy while I was here, what with the high beams and the well decorated walls it is a small place but they did a good job with the space given. The service was slow, but with only one server it made sense. The place filled up for lunch quickly. The bread they serve here with your meals is warm and fresh.
