The server took the drink order, put them on the table and ran away for 15 mins. When he finally came back, we were able to order our appetizer. We ordered the meatballs. It didn't take terribly long for them to come. However, when they came, they were room temp and pink in the middle. We (obviously) sent them back. We came here for Valentines dinner. We made a reservation on OpenTable and we were seated within minutes. The restaurant is truly a hidden gem inside the Sunset Station Casino. The dining room is made to look like you are dining outside. It is very beautiful. We started with the calamari which was very delicious. For my meal I had the spaghetti and meatballs in the restaurant let me substitute the pasta for angel hair. My fiancé had the chicken Parmesan which he loved. I had the salmon, and it was cooked perfectly but tasteless. My sautéed spinach cooked perfectly yet had no flavor. My husband ordered chicken Alfredo, and he had to ask for salt and pepper alo g with some form of hotsauce to bring some flavor to it. The chicken in the dish had no flavor. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, and it was cooked perfectly, but the sauce to dip tasteless, we also ordered the chopped salad, it tasted good but lettuce soggy as though made earlier and sat in dressing too long. Over the last 12 years, even if I thought it was a meh experience, I've always come to Pasta Cucina to get my moderately-priced Italian American grub on. There was a period in which I felt the quality really suffered and that it was turning into a place I'd never want to come to. However, lately (at least the last 3 times I've gone) I feel like they're getting back to a place where I can fully trust ordering anything off the menu. The last time I had the linguini and clams, it was terrible. I mean canned clams in a sandy, flavorless water with almost raw pasta. How gross. But they've revamped items on the menu and this time there were actual clam shells and a deeply flavored broth with perfectly al dente pasta. While I may be sad I don't see meatballs and polenta on the menu anymore, the chicken parm is still great and the carbonara update is delicious. The radicchio was way too bitter, there was too much of it in the salad. The salad wasn't chopped enough either. The pasta portions are generous though and are decent. They give you bread with your meal. No draft beer, only bottled. Food seemed like it took a while, but we had a party of like 17. Overall I do recommend this place. read more

Came on a Saturday night with reservations at 7 but was early and got seated early since it wasn't too busy. Hostess was sweet and our waitress, Dee was amazing. The complimentary bread tasted warm and fresh. We ordered the calamari and mozzarella sticks to start. The calamari was a little too thin. Seemed more like calamari strings, but still has good flavor. The mozzarella sticks were delish. I also went with the White Cosmo that was very yummy. Everything came out with a great pace so we didn't really wait for anything. For the entrees, we had the meat pizza and the chicken Alfredo. Both were 10/10! This review is for their Sunday Brunch, which is currently held only on the first Sunday of each month. FYI... Came in on Easter Sunday. We were lucky to be able to walk in. Reservations are recommended for the brunch. Got a table for two next to the kitchen. You might think "not a good spot" and you couldn't be more wrong. We got to see everything coming out and it all looked delicious. It helped make up our minds. We started with the meat and cheese for two. The presentation was great and the food was excellent. We did ask for a few additional pieces of toasted baguette, which they took care of quickly. One highlight of the plate was the oven dried tomatoes. They were slightly caramelized and perfectly sweet. For our entrees, the wife had the lemon and blueberry ricotta pancakes, while I had the Pasta Cucina omelette (Italian sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, mozzarella, prosciutto di Parma, and fresh basil). We both highly enjoyed our meals. The pancakes are taken from a family recipe, and are light and fluffy. Very delicious. The omelette was well prepared and loaded with ingredients. The potatoes were also nicely done. As for the service, they did a great job. Each need was attended to quickly, and the staff were very nice. Props to Hugo, our main server. We also got to speak with Tom Gorball, Director of Food and Beverage, while he was taking care of business. Such a great conversation with a genuinely nice person! This was such a great experience. I haven't been here since the beginning of 2020 and things got crazy. It was time for me to return. I made a reservation for 5:15. Many of the tables are marked as unavailable for Covid-19 25% capacity so the place seemed a bit empty. A server soon asked my water preference and I ordered an iced tea. While she was getting my things, another server brought my place setting and a glass of water. When the iced tea arrived, I had a small plate with sweetener, a small plate with sliced lemon, and a glass of ice in case in wanted more in my tea as I was drinking it. I ordered the creamy tomato basil soup and the pasta puttanesca fettuccine. I was brought bread service of sliced Italian bread with butter and there was oil and vinegar brought to the table also if I wanted to use that. The soup came and it was excellent. I was asked if I wanted some grated cheese and she used her cheese grinder until I told her that was good. The soup was rich in flavor with just enough basil flavoring. After waiting a short time, my pasta puttanesca came. Olives., capers, shallots, anchovies, and grape tomatoes were in just the right amount. Again I had some freshly grated cheese and I was all set to go. It was a very enjoyable dish. This restaurant serves large portions so either come hungry or plan to get a to go box for leftovers. For me, something this good doesn't do well as a leftover. Eat and enjoy and finish what they served you. For a small ending to the meal, I got a pistachio gelato. It was my second choice as they were out of tiramisu. The gelato was creamy and was a fine ending to this good meal. My server was Sara and she was top notch. I had a second iced tea brought before I finished my first. She was on top of her game! Although Sunset Station is on the opposite side of the valley from where I live, I'll continue to come here periodically. It's worth the drive. read more

I came to Pasta Cucina with a large group of colleagues for our department holiday party. The restaurant was very accomodating to us. Good wait staff that was always right there to keep our waters, sodas and ice teas refilled. They brought out fresh bread each time a basket ran out. They took pictures of the group. They joked around with us. In terms of service, this was a good experience. As for the food, it was just ok as far as what I ate. Some good bites. Some not so good. The fried mozzarella was a highlight from the appetizer spread that we had. The fried calamari was not my thing. I should have enjoyed the bread but there was just something about it that I didn't care for. My entree, eggplant parmesan, was pretty solid. The eggplant stayed crisp on the underside and the marinara on top had a little spice. The pasta on the side was cooked to al dente which was perfect. I've had better eggplant parm but this was an acceptable dinner. Dessert was a standout to me. I had the canoli. Crisp, creamy and sweet. Chopped pistachios adorned the ends. And they were totally filled. Not just the ends like I have had at other places that do it cheap. It is safe to say that dessert was my favorite part of this experience. Decided to try this place out our last trip to Vegas. Decor is nice and definitely an Italian feel to it all. Staff and servers were all following guidelines and safety measures. Food was just ok though. Had a variety of items and none really stood out as great. Started with the fried mozzarella and gave that a 4/5 because honestly it was the best part of the meal. The capresse salad was good. 2/5 because it was just good, nothing over the top and nothing really popped flavor wise. For the entrees we had some chicken picata dish. Noodles were overcooked and chicken was a bit dry 2/5. Shrimp linguini was good. 3/5 because it lacked depth and some flavor. Lastly was the lobster ravioli. 2/5.... I was still hungry after eating it. We tried telling our server about the chicken but they seemed under staffed. The manager was helping run food and do more than just manage and that's great but it just seemed attention to detail lacked unless you were a hotel invited guest with a purple players card. We brought my brother-in-law and sister from New Hampshire there and they raved about it. Liked it better than the fancy Italian restaurant we took them to Right on the strip that cost three times as much. Service is wonderful never have any problem getting a reservation not a real extensive menu but everything is delicious. Had a wonderful experience here last night. Called for a reservation, Tim got us situated. We have a rambunctious 4 y/o in our party so we requested a seat away from most patrons; they accommodated us beautifully. Our wait staff is super attentive and friendly (Andrea I believe). Let me start by saving we having been coming here for years, since it opened in fact. I don't know why I never reviewed it on Yelp before, but it would have gotten 5 stars up until now. Recently they changed the menu. They removed the baked ziti, they no longer have a garden salad, the chopped salad isn't chopped. My mom had the chicken marsala which no longer comes with pasta. They changed that. The waiter, who was amazing by the way, advised "corporate" wants you to pay more so you have to order the pasta a la carte. The chicken in both the marsala and my dish, the vodka rigatoni (yes, rigatoni not penne) was very, very dry. The prices went up and the quality went down. Station casinos, you have lost long time loyal customers. My wife and I used to consider that one of our "date nights", dinner at Pasta Cucina and then a movie. No more because you ruined it. I feel bad for the staff who was getting questions similar to the ones we were asking about the quality of the food. The table across from us ordered desert and instantly regretted getting the tiramisu after just one bite. They said it was "horrible." read more

Appetizers: calamari was rubbery; caprese tomatoes were too big and thick, small slice of mozzarella and weak basil. Dinner: shrimp risotto was thick and gummy, flavor was just OK. Braised beef and the shrimp scampi were bland. Desserts were OK. Chocolate cake, cannolis were good. The lemon sorbet vodka dessert drink was the best part. Really deserves 0 stars!! Made Thanksgiving dinner reservations well in advance. Arrived to be told that they are running behind - approximately 45 minutes. Noticed while waiting that the Thanksgiving dinner that had been widely advertised was "Falsely stated". The dinner - turkey and stuffing was a set price but the sides and deserts were all additional fees. So the advertised Thanksgiving meal for $25, was really $41 a person!! What a SCAM!!!!! Pasta Cucina is amazing! I have been coming here for years. This has been my family go-to spot for many occasions ever since I was little. It is still a good place for my family to attend when we want to have a simple Italian dinner together, whether gamblers comped or paid. This restaurant has seen generations of my family, from my grandpa, grandma, all the way down to the newborns. I'll forever be thankful for this spot. Over the years I have tried a plethora of items from the menu, but my go-to combo is usually calamari, carbonara, and cheesecake! I really enjoy the calamari here, it is always cooked to a crisp. The carbonara portions are huge and always very delicious! I always appreciate the amount of food that they pour out. The cheesecake is also extremely soft and flavorful. Being able to eat these 3 whenever I go here is like the holy trinity. I thoroughly enjoy it and will do it again and again and again! The service is always up to par and I appreciate the workers and how kind they always are. Sitting in this restaurant does not feel like you are in Las Vegas. You can either sit at the bar and high top tables or in the main dining area which feels like you are out on a patio while inside. All the staff was friendly and accommodating as well as helped up with food recommendations. We sat in the bar at a high top for their reverse happy hour. Happy hour has a great deal on some drinks and appetizers. The food was a great portion size for sharing. We split the Caprese Salad, Shrimp Scampi and the PLT (a recommended favorite from the staff that did not disappoint!) The sizes were perfect to share but also filling.
