Our first night in town for a baseball tournament brought us to this local pizza joint. Everyone in there were extremely accommodating. You can take out, dine in or sit outside and eat. I was in the mood for chicken parm. The kid got a Buffalo Chicken wrap and my wife got the chicken piccata. To start, we got some wings and a sampler platter. Sampler platter was generic. Typical pizza joint apps. Wings had good flavor and a slight crisp to them. Chicken parm was very good. Thin sliced chicken and the sauce was very good. I tried my wife's chicken piccata. It was overpowered with lemon for my taste but she enjoyed it. I did get a slice to go, being that I'm a pizza nut. Wasn't a big fan of the cheese slice. Dinners were excellent. read more

I've been eating at Main Street since I was in Middle school. The food is always amazing and delicious, you can taste the love in it too. Down to the plain slice. They know what their regulars order and it's so nice to see the friendly and family environment they give. No canned veggies are used in their pizza, I had to mention that because I've been to pizzerias and order spinach pizza pie and they used canned spinach and it was a horrible experience. It's hard, almost impossible, to find great NY-style pizza Once you leave the five borough. Outside NYC the pizza is awful. I grew up in the Bronx and I've never found decent pizza anywhere outside. The Pizza is alright. I give them one star for their customer service. I have ordered delivery from them twice before. Each time they gave a timeline of 40 minutes. The first delivery took them over an hour and a half before they delivered. The second time, they didn't show up after an hour and a half. I called them and they just said they weren't able to find my house... after once delivering to me. They had my phone number and never even called to ask for directions, let alone tell me they weren't going to deliver. I had to go pick it up. I ordered from them one more time to pick up. They told me it would take 30 minutes. I went there after 30 minutes and waited a full hour before they were ready with my pizza. After giving them several chances, I am no longer a customer of theirs. A crucial part of a business is time management and customer service, which they lack. read more

We found Main Street Pizza by accident and it is by far the best pizza and Italian food in the Hudson Valley. Delicious, fresh and beautiful salads. Perfectly seasoned marinara-just like my Grandma used to make. Melt in your mouth chicken and eggplant parmigiana with plenty of Italian bread. We drive from Monroe to Main Street because we love it that much. They forgot to pack my favorite salad in our order this evening. When we arrived home, the owner was calling to apologize and insisted that they deliver my salad to me. They wouldn't take no for and answer nor would the delivery driver accept a tip. This past time was the worst with an estimated delivery time of 40 minutes and the food arrived over one and a half hours after being ordered. Not acceptable. Food is generally great but the place is like a hangout for kids and extended family of the management. I have to fight my way to the counter every time I go in there. I love their pizza. Their prices are reasonable, and their food is very good. They have everything from steak to all the Italian dishes. I have tried their pastas, pizzas, eggplant, other Italian dishes and steaks and all were good. Owner told me credit card was declined, gave them a different card paid and left. After I left I checked bank account, because there was no reason my card should have been declined, sure enough, the charge had gone through. i saw a debit from NY Pizza. So I called the second card and yep, I paid twice, Went back and showed them the card was processed and the money as taken out and called my chase visa and had them on the phone as well. The place refused to refund me my money, they claimed they did not charge me twice. Basically, i now have to dispute one of the charges with my CC company. I did have the police come and show them the money came out of my checking, beware, may be scam. However, I paid $108 for 3 pies, a pitcher of soda and a few slices of pizza, hopefully I can get one CC to give me my money back. will never go to this establishment again, bad business. Should have refunded me one charge on the spot Pizza crust is sub par, cardboard tasting at best. Owner rude, obviously. I have managed restaurants and worked in the business myself for over 20 years, stay away, head to Sub Pub and get the best sandwich ever. read more
