Chicken parmesan with white pasta on the side
    Lizzy L.

We passed by Pasta House on a weeknight and saw that they had live music (a keyboardist) on the patio and enjoyed a nice dinner with my kids outside. I loved the eggplant parmesan and garlic bread appetizers ($2 off during happy hour). My kids ordered toasted ravioli and cheese stick kids meals, both of which tasted like the boxed kind that I can buy at the grocery store freezer section (but they didn't mind). The chicken parmesan entree was delicious but the breading was a little soggy. We did like the shell pasta that it came with on the side. Overall it was a fine meal especially for a chain restaurant and we do like using their catering menu for bigger groups, especially their Family Meal Deals!

So it's March and I hadn't actually eaten at a Pasta House restaurant since October or November. If you know me you know that's rare and I typically eat there pretty regularly. This was my first time at the new Kirkwood location. It's clean and new and the place was not busy at 5pm on a weekday. I ordered the 6pc toasted ravioli and the Pasta con Broccoli (no mushrooms). Pasta House has changed a lot of their products over the last few years. The toasted ravioli have been about the size of a quarter for a couple of years and these seemed slightly larger. They always taste good. The Pasta con Broccoli was as expected but maybe the sauce was a little thin? It only takes another couple of minutes for the sauce to reduce some more and thicken up. Service was friendly. I'm sure I'll be back.

Here is the tiny piece of Lasagna I had to pay $18.99 for.

Great to have this new Pasta House near my daughter's house. We loved the one in university city. Always relatable and great service

The food is just frozen heated and sauce added. I ordered meatballs with a Caesar salad to go with it. The food just wasn't very appealing.

I hadn't been here in years and it seemed like a good place to start my birthday weekend. I started out with an aperol spritz and a di peppe salad which was really good. Italian salad with some savory touches of cheese and salami. I got the chicken parm which was delightful, especially with the oil/ garlic pasta was a nice addition. They brought me a dessert to help me celebrate, which was panna cotta. I've never had it before, it was light but flavorful. Definitely delicious! I will for sure be back.

I went there solo so I arrived early on a weekday after opening up and before any diners arrived and the dining room felt a little stuffy to me especially when I was told no ball caps in the dining room and that's fine, I didn't plan to dine with it on. So I decided to sit outside as it was a perfect weather night for it and loved their patio. I had the beef tenderloin tips in a rigatoni pasta and vodka cream sauce that was the daily special and a side spinach salad. It goes without saying it was pretty pricey but I was very full when I exited so was happy. Service was great and very professional. As much as I enjoyed my pasta I didn't feel Peppe's made my higher pantheon list of fine Italian restaurants along with Gitto's, Marcella's and a few other Italian restaurants mostly in the city but it's high up for St. Louis County Italian places and top notch.

Not having been here before I had called ahead and asked for a table close to the entry as one of our party has an illness and not as mobile as he'd like. I was pleased with the table that they had reserved for us and the hostess didn't mention why we got that table, imo that was classy as I had hoped they wouldn't bring it up. It just looked like we got lucky and got a table a bit larger than needed and near the front without being obvious. We had drinks brought out and I had the amore spritzer suggested by the server. It was larger than expected and fairly strong, great taste. The other two drinks were just standard gin & tonic and a beer. All three dinners were excellent: my lobster ravioli, calamari, and chicken Romano. The house salads were very good, as was the shared slice of cheesecake that ended our dinner. The food & drinks were excellent, the server was great interacting with us and doing some give and take, and it was not overly expensive. In cost this would be a 3 out of 4 or a 3.5 out of 5 if the top number was higher expense for a restaurant. Without a doubt I would go back on a date if I was looking to impress.
