Two long term friends and I met for dinner & drinks here. We were dressed casually and I felt we were fine, but most of the diners seemed dressed for a semi formal date. Not having been here before I had called ahead and asked for a table close to the entry as one of our party has an illness and not as mobile as he'd like. I was pleased with the table that they had reserved for us and the hostess didn't mention why we got that table, imo that was classy as I had hoped they wouldn't bring it up. It just looked like we got lucky and got a table a bit larger than needed and near the front without being obvious. We had drinks brought out and I had the amore spritzer suggested by the server. It was larger than expected and fairly strong, great taste. The other two drinks were just standard gin & tonic and a beer. All three dinners were excellent: my lobster ravioli, calamari, and chicken Romano. The house salads were very good, as was the shared slice of cheesecake that ended our dinner. The food & drinks were excellent, the server was great interacting with us and doing some give and take, and it was not overly expensive. In cost this would be a 3 out of 4 or a 3.5 out of 5 if the top number was higher expense for a restaurant. Without a doubt I would go back on a date if I was looking to impress. read more

We had dinner here every month before COVID. It was always a great dinner, veal and chicken - no knife needed. Salads are tender greens and sautéed spinach melt in your mouth. Finally got back tonight and we're floored with the incredible food. Al Limone Veal, fork tender, grouper special (the best prepared fish we ever had - thanks Chef Tiko) Dining area has a beautiful renovation. I just got takeout from here. My partner is a chicken spiedini connoisseur. We had not tried this place prior to tonight. The phone game me a busy signal when i tried calling for the first 10 minutes and it sounded busy in the background. I noticed a lot of great reviews on the spiedini dish so he got that. We also ordered the FF spinach and i got the calamari in marinara for my entree. I asked for a beet salad from the summer menu but that was not available. My partner and I both enjoyed our food and they got our order correct with our substitutions. They also gave us bread and butter to go with our meal! I'm so glad we tried this place. White table cloth dining that was no rush! Our dinner from appetizer to main course was almost 2 hours and felt luxurious. The service was impeccable! Our drinks were never dry, and our empty plates were bused quickly. The house salad was fresh with a light Italian oil and vinegar dressing. Simple but classic. The linguini tuttamari was delicious and full of shrimp, mussels and scallops. The sauce was cream based with a touch of marinara. It was not a particularly saucy tuttamari and still delicious. This is a fantastic little lunch spot! I know I'm not the only one who investigates a menu prior to visiting a new place. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced the meals were. The service was very friendly and attentive. The bathrooms are immaculately clean! Upon entering the restaurant, the bar is right inside. Fully stocked with anything you can want. We were seated in the dining room, which was formal with white tablecloths and linen napkins. Definitely a little upscale for a lunch date. The menu offers a small selection of appetizers along with soup and salads. The lunch entrees are generously portioned and accompanied by a side of pasta or veggie of the day. I went with the special which included a beautifully prepared piece of fish in olive oil, olives, and tomatoes. A little side of pasta was perfect. They offer a traditional Italian dessert menu including cannoli and tiramisu. I was very pleased with this meal. Three lunch entrees, with drinks, and a dessert for under $70 including tax and tip. The food was amazing! Our server was hilarious and was a wonderful source of suggestions. The atmosphere was casually elegant. We got there right when they opened at 5:00 and were seated right away. Our server was really helpful with their menu items and was easy to talk to. The pre-dinner bread and butter was fresh and warm, butter melted easily on it. Salads were crisp and tasty with house Italian dressing. We each had a chicken dish - chicken Marsala for me - it was delicious! And chicken Romano for her - same reaction! I've been coming to Toscana for many years and their food is always perfectly done, creatively sauced and served in a pleasing manner. Not very happy with our meal this evening. I ordered salmon. It's supposedly fresh daily. It was just ok. Plus, I ask what comes with and she said "you can get pasta or vegetables ". Well, nothing comes with it! All a la carte! So $33 for marginal salmon plus $5 for pasta side. My husband ordered the pork chop special. $47!!! And my husband didn't really want a salad but it sounded like it came with. Nope, another $5. So $100 meal without cocktails! I did give a 20% tip but I think the servers should be clear about what is included. $120 total and not pleased. read more

We arrived at 5:30 with no reservation but we were immediately seated. We started with a glass of wine, Sauvignon Blanc for her, Chardonnay for me. Melissa told us about several off menu options but we already picked from the menu, Risotto with shrimp for her and Chicken Spedini for me. I ordered a Caesar salad, she got a spring greens with vinaigrette. My Caesar had anchovies in it. I really liked those! The portions of the entrees were large we only ate half of each. Both dishes were delicious. The sole complaint I have is the table of 6 that was seated next to us. They were very loud speakers and it made it difficult to converse with my friend. Obviously the restaurant can't control customer speech. The value for the dollar here is very good. We will return! read more

My husband and I took my mother-in-law here for dinner tonight. She's 95 and needs a little help here and there. The owner saw us coming in and held the door open, took us to the nearest table, and helped her get settled. He was very kind and patient. The decor is quietly understated and very clean. The tables are also a nice distance from one another. There are two decent sized dining rooms there as well as some seating at the bar. My pasta was good! The portions are generous. I had the house salad which was only okay. It has too much dressing g and it had too much vinegar. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was good! read more

Very cozy and elegant feeling with nice fire and decorations. I had been in past when it was busy and loud and crowded and slow. Ok We are here one more time. 1st the maître was rude. We laughed at how bad it was , my son texted me a picture of a banquet dinner meal. He had the veal.lol Just a guess ? I do not know but the chicken dishes taste like they are premade and warmed up ? By far the worst chicken spedini I ever had. Of course it was the most expensive chicken spedini I ever had. We started off with the Fried Artichokes. Well seasoned and crispy!!! I opted for the soup with my entree and it was Fantastic.. highly recommend the Lemon Chicken and kale soup if they offer it. The House salad was just "meh".. nothing special. My hubby ordered the Lobster Ravioli. While it was good.. I have had better. The sauce was very off putting. Very heavy and it didn't look appealing. You eat with your eyes and I should of closed them.. My entree if Chicken Angelo was tasty. 2 chicken breast topped with a white wine cream sauce with shitake mushrooms and prosciutto. Made reservation for 6 at 5pm this past Saturday, arrived at 4:50pm, ordered at 5:10pm, did not get our salad until 5:45pm then waited due to cook not showing! We waited another 30 minutes and then were told our entries were being plated, which took another 7 minutes so now it is almost 6:25pm and our dinners come out cool not hot! We held my mother's 90th birthday there recently. We were able to reserve the restaurant for a large group for lunch and they were very accommodating, giving us tables for gifts and a special display. 5 stars for service. Gave 4 stars because calamari fritti was under-cooked and a bit rubbery. The sauce that came with it was good. The lemon Veal had zero taste of lemon and was a little tough and flavorless. Others in our party loved their various chicken dishes. The dinner salad is trying to please the St. Louis standard of adding a clump of provel cheese in the center and way too many red onions. They offer a Caesar salad for an up charge. I liked that the restaurant had a European sensibility which is hard to find in St. Louis, although the recipes had little to do with Tuscan cuisine. At these higher than normal prices, I suggest offering guests a limoncello or an amaretto after dinner as they do in Italy to give some perceived value. read more

We love this place. We had my son's rehearsal dinner here. My pastor, who has been presiding over weddings for almost 30 years now described it as the best rehearsal dinner he's ever attended. Wow what a surprise, great Italian food and service, rivals the Hill. I went with my husband on a groupon last Friday night. As I love visiting the Hill's Italian restaurant, I thought the experience here would be unremarkable, but boy was I wrong, it was excellent! First, the pictures of the inside on yelp do not do this place justice, it was actually dimly lit, cozy, and romantic looking. I would recommend to management to get some better pictures on yelp because the ones that are on here did not do justice to how cute your establishment is. The service was exceptional. Our waiter was very attentive; he kept the bread coming, suggested good food and drinks, and never let our wine glasses get empty. They have a nice selection of wines, many Italian. We choose a nice bottle for $30. The food was also delicious! It was tough to decide as there are many good looking dishes on the menu. My husband got the Linguine alla Amy and I got the Rigatoni All' Amatriciana. Both were tasty and cooked to a very perfect al dente (though I think I liked his better ;)). The pastas and entrees all come with a salad or soup to start. We were very full after eating our pastas, we should paced ourselves and taken home leftovers but they were too good!
