White table cloth dining that was no rush! Our dinner from appetizer to main course was almost 2 hours and felt luxurious. The service was impeccable! Our drinks were never dry, and our empty plates were bused quickly. The house salad was fresh with a light Italian oil and vinegar dressing. Simple but classic. The linguini tuttamari was delicious and full of shrimp, mussels and scallops. The sauce was cream based with a touch of marinara. It was not a particularly saucy tuttamari and still delicious. The chicken spedini was moist and a generous serving. The accompanying roasted veggies were very tasty.

This is a fantastic little lunch spot! I know I'm not the only one who investigates a menu prior to visiting a new place. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced the meals were. The service was very friendly and attentive. The bathrooms are immaculately clean! Upon entering the restaurant, the bar is right inside. Fully stocked with anything you can want. We were seated in the dining room, which was formal with white tablecloths and linen napkins. Definitely a little upscale for a lunch date. The menu offers a small selection of appetizers along with soup and salads. The lunch entrees are generously portioned and accompanied by a side of pasta or veggie of the day. I went with the special which included a beautifully prepared piece of fish in olive oil, olives, and tomatoes. A little side of pasta was perfect. They offer a traditional Italian dessert menu including cannoli and tiramisu. I was very pleased with this meal. Three lunch entrees, with drinks, and a dessert for under $70 including tax and tip. Definitely hard to beat in the current economy. Good food, great service, and very reasonable prices.

Hidden gem! By far the best Italian in St. Louis! I highly recommend you try this place.

Grouper special with capers and lemon and mixed vegetables. Excellent!

As always, Trattoria Toscano is a restaurant we go to for special occasions. It was my birthday today. The place is always spotless, and the food is always delicious and the service is impeccable. Although this place has always had great ambience, their recent remodeling has elevated the ambience another notch. . It's a family run business and it shows.

Excellent experience. Ambiance, service and food. Chicken Angelo was amazing texture and flavor. Husband had Chicken Romano and was also very happy. Service was perfect. Tables were spaced nicely. Very cozy and elegant feeling with nice fire and decorations. I had been in past when it was busy and loud and crowded and slow. Food was still great and previous history of enjoying it there so gave them 4 stars. This Thursday night was perfect all around so feel I need to update the previous review. We will go here when we want a special evening out.

We had a great waiter; he was attentive and helpful throughout the meal. We ordered a table appetizer to share, The Batter Dipped Lobster Bites are a big hit, for good reason! They come on a bed of crispy fries that are great on their own, but the lobster bites are fantastic! Crunchy but not greasy and dipped in the warm butter, yum! I have ordered different things every time I visit, this time I ordered off the chef's plates menu and went with the Steak Frites. Ribeye cap, lounge fries, the same fries as with the Lobster Bites, arugula, citrus herb aioli, and bearnaise butter. The Rib cap is a cut I haven't had before; it reminded me of skirt or flank steak. It was tender and flavorful. I love arugula and this with the citrus herb aioli was great. I would order it again. Signature Wedding Cake with vanilla ice cream, shared by the table, everyone enjoyed it. Great food, great service, loved by all my out-of-town coworkers!

Although I will say that the risotto was insanely good, and I did enjoy the bone marrow. Admittedly, the best part of the meal were my two bourbons lol. They have an excellent selection of bourbon, tequila, and other things. I know a couple things went right, but when you pay over $200 for a meal, I sort of expect everything to be perfect. This was super disappointing, and I honestly can't say if I'll go back or not. I can say this, I know other people who have been there, and they swear by the place, so I'm really hoping I just caught them on a bad night. It's just unfortunate. I would have to pay so much for a bad night.

The gator po'boy was good, though on the dryer side. I would have loved more of the sauce on mine. The chips were perfectly crispy crunchy! My partner got the lobster roll and scarfed it down in a few bites. A bit on the pricier side since it's based on the market value, but still delicious. What really stood out to me was the service we received! I really appreciated not being rushed through our meal. The fact that they actually let you order your courses separately so they're not coming out on top of each other was refreshing. And even though it was a Friday night and there were others waiting to get in we weren't rushed to pay our bill but instead invited to take our time. We hadn't seen or heard much about their pizzas, but we were in the mood for one and decided to order the meat pizza. It was made in a brick oven and it was really tasty. Honestly there were so many toppings that we ended up asking for an extra cup of the marinara sauce to dip it in. The sauce is made in house, it was delicious and the waitress said it's the same one that's used with the spaghetti and meatballs. In regard to the pizza size even though they're considered personal pizzas it was definitely bigger than we were anticipating. I would say they're close to 11 to 12 inches in diameter. My husband and I each enjoyed two pieces with our salad and took the other half home with us. They are definitely big enough to share, especially if you're ordering an appetizer or a salad to go with it. Our group very much enjoyed the artichoke spinach dip. It came with bread that had been cooked in their brick oven and I love that the spinach was in bigger pieces. My husband, and I also shared the harvest salad which had butternut squash on it, candied pecans & goat cheese. It was really yummy. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and the crispy chicken sandwich. I had recently seen on a local Jefferson County page that many people consider Twisted Tavern the best place for a good piece of cake specifically, their wedding cake . Truth is that was the primary reason why I suggested this restaurant to meet our friends at but sadly by the time we finished our meal and were ready to order dessert they had already sold out. We were told this does not usually happen. Overall, we found tasty fresh food made in house, great service and fair prices. I am already planning another visit to the Twisted Tavern (so I can try their wedding cake! ).
