Just stay from red sauces and meatballs. Now the Garlic and Alfredo sauces are really good and pasta was cooked well. My first time here.

The food is very good. It's not really a place that you want to dine at though. Just call your order in and pick it up. They don't really have a real wait staff, just one person up front trying to do everything themselves. read more

Pasta jacks is the most exquisite restraunt by far. I love the quiet atmosphere there. Also, the lighting sets a romantic yet family friendly atmosphere. Finally, the exquisite cuisine is the best pasta by far, I , and many others, would not have it any other way. read more

It was first time my family and I ate pasta J's in Bryant by Waltmart. Desided to do drive though instead of going in to dine. We got it home and pretty much had take out containers full of noodles. Little to no sauce. Now what sauce there was was OK at best. My wife Italian beef stroganoff was horrible. Tasted like sauce had gone bad! The four small pieces of meat were over cooked. The spaghetti and meatballs were not good. Tasted like the meatball came in frozen and marinara out of a can with no flavor. Paid a lot money for something that I would say was absolutely horrible!!! read more

I took my father and a friend here with my wife and we never even got to eat. We came in and the waitress said "have a seat anywhere" we were thinking well it's not the friendliest welcome but what happened after that was beyond belief. We literally sat there for 30 mins and never got to order or were even approached by the "waitress" The worst part about it was the fact the other 3 tables around us ordered drinks and their food. Pasta J's has been a hit and miss on quality of food and service. Cantrell location has wonderful service and food is consistent. The Bryant location, I can't say the same. My family dinned in April 16th at the Bryant location and the service was horrible, but I have a feeling it's due to lack of management involvement. The quantity of food compared in past months visit has decreased which always gives me the impression the business is struggling and a tactic to save money. I received my food ten minutes before my entire family and the check was brought at the time. The spinach artichoke appetizer is different than the Cantrell's location and sub-par in comparison regarding taste. Besides my chicken and mushroom butter noodles, we ordered a pizza, kids mac n cheese, cheese manicotti. Why it took ten extra-minutes for my family to receive the latter three meals mentioned above; I was told, they are unusually busy for a Monday, pizza takes longer to cook, and my check was there for my convenience. They had four two tops and I've never received a check at a sit down restaurant before I received food. There's clearly a lack of management involvement as a manager nor owner ever visited my table. Also, from the response of waitress, it was clear, lack of training was to contribute to my poor experience. I would recommend to spent the extra money and go to Luigi's or fall back on the overpriced Olive Garden. read more

Okay this cute little place has a friendly staff. No waiters. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to you. Small menu. Great prices. The house salad is outstanding!!! The lasagna, however, I was not so pleased with but I like heavy robust sauces and this was more runny and sweet!! I will def go back and try something else!!!! read more

I love the lemon salad dressing! The Alfredo was cool to the touch, and thin, but very tasty...the pasta? Way over-cooked. Sadly, the only response we got from the counter-person was a slight shrug and a warning that if we wanted fresh-cooked pasta it would be another twenty minutes. That was two weeks ago. I'm not put-off...I'm sure we'll give it another try in a month or so. ;) read more

We eat here often as the choices in the area are minimal. The alfredo appears separated like it is not fresh. Don't order the pasta primavera unless black pepper is your best friend! They are very strict in holding to their recipes and will not reduce the black pepper. They also dump a lot of this black pepper on the salad if you do not ask them not to. And it is a rough cracked black pepper that gets in your teeth and totally ruins the lovely spring vegetables with alfredo. Why not let people season their own food? Pepper causes digestive issues for some people. Why be so strict about a recipe if it harms your business? I know of another almost great restaurant in LR that is now gone from this same problem of over seasoning their food and ignoring customer requests for less. read more

I had lunch at the new Pasta Jack's on Cantrell in LR on 5/13/16. They don't have a page yet, so I thought I would post on this one for the Owner to see. The service was very good. The salad that came with the lunch special was fine. The pasta sauce is sweet, so it's okay if you like that, but a bit watery. My ravioli was over cooked. Not mush, but close. I would guess that the pasta water wasn't salted enough also because the ravioli didn't have much of a taste by itself. The garlic bread had a "schmear" of garlic paste on it that I didn't care for. Tab with tip was around $14. It was okay to try out the new place by my office, but I won't choose to go back there. read more

We had three different entrees: lasagna, spag with meat sauce, and garlic chicken. They were all not good at all. The salads were blah and full of the big hard pieces of lettuce. We always take our leftovers to go but not these. On a good note, the girl working was very nice. read more

When I came in to order the guy taking orders asked me if I worked for Chef Shuttle without saying hello...rude. I got an Alfredo to go. The pasta was over-cooked and watery and the sauce had zero flavor and was very thin like it was plain milk with a little parm sprinkled on top. No cling to the pasta. No flavor. No salt. Just....no. Today was my first time in Pasta Jack's on Horizon Dr., in Bryant. I was a little confused at first though, because the sign over the store read, "Pasta J's." When we walked in there were no hellos, and the young lady behind the counter made it painfully obvious she'd rather be anywhere except there, and talking to anyone except me. It wasn't an overt rudeness, but in our 3 or so interactions during our visit she didn't smile once, or say thank you, or even "you're welcome," when I said thank you. My table ordered a salad, a cheese pizza, and a meatball marinara pasta. The salad came out first and it was okay. It was chopped iceberg, with some thinly sliced carrot pieces, some parmesean, and a very healty dose of their house italian vinegretee. Not terrible, and nothing I'd write home about either. The cheese pizza looked spectacular, but that's where it ended. My 6 yr old isn't picky about pizza, and she'd eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily if I allowed it, but she made it thru about half of a piece and said no thanks. In amazement (partly because of her love of pizza, and partly because of how good it looked) I had to try a bite for myself, and I agreed. It was a doughy, cafeteria tasting hot mess. Lastly, my meatball marinara pasta featured cold, undrained pasta, which sat in a shallow red water and tasted like Sysco marinara with meatballs that had the consistency of pate'. All this for $35 with fountain drinks. My guess is that it's still Pasta Jack's, not Pasta J's, but if the food and hospitality is any indication, the owners decided that it was worth skimping on the "ACK" when it needed replacing. read more

I have eaten at Pasta Jacks for years, even worked at this location for a few years years when I was a teenager. This food is no doubt good but I would not suggest going at lunch. The service was horrible. I ordered a large salad, which again is very good, but did not receive it until I had gotten my entree. When you're starving, you want your appetizer quick and during lunch here, you will not get that. I know well that Pasta Jacks is not a full service restraunt but you will only get treated as well as you are known. Not worth the $30 I spent on lunch. I will probably go to Luigis from now on, just based on the service. read more

Food is bland. Garlic bread was ok. Side sauces came in small styrofoam cups even dining in. A bit pricey for what you get.

Went tonight. The food was very good and the service was also very good. The service may have slowed down for those that came after us as 1 waitress was handling 12 tables, but she was giving it her all. My only complaint is it is a little high priced since a salad is an extra $3.95. read more

If you love your taste buds skip this place!! The salad was soggy and WARM..YUCK and they added so much salt and at least a whole stick of butter to the Garlic Chicken I couldn't make it through 2 bites. read more

We stumbled on this place next to our hotel. We have dined at several highly rated Italian restaurants in Dallas and Houston. The food here is as good or BETTER! But cheaper. Casual dining with outstanding Lasagna and Manicotti. The salad dressing was great. The tiramisu is homemade and very tasty. Great service. Not sure about the reviews posted in past but they must have been under previous management. The owner bought the place in July according to an adorable waitress, Paige. Will mark this restaurant and have to stop again whether we spend the night in Bryant or not. read more

Went in for dinner, had chicken fettuccine. First impression, very dark, outdated, old and broken decor, seemed clean though. Only me and three others in whole restaurant. Food came out very quick which made me wonder if it was pre-made. Only one piece of bread with the meal, it was a large portion and if the sauce was packaged, it did taste okay. However all other Italian restaurants offer unlimited bread, had to ask for another piece! Only three small chunks of chicken in the whole plate, had to ask for more, which was quickly offered but was very dry, overlooked and greasy. Very friendly staff but owner would make a comment/question in passing while I was eating, didn't stop to really have a conversation or inquire about my satisfaction. Price was fairly normal but considering all aspects, I definitely will not return. read more
