Watch out for bad customer service! Apparently if you don't put money in their tip jar, after placing an order for their carry out pizza slices, your order will likely get skipped twice, at least, in favor of other people standing in line behind you, who may have 'tipped'. Also keep in mind, I wasn't a regular customer, and it had been a relatively long time since I had been there previously. The quality of their pizza is definitely above average. Their cooked pizza though feels more like home made pizza, that one could make in their home (like Digorno frozen pizza?), instead of one you'd come across from a 'professional'. Therefore, I found it over priced. Their stuffed pizza 'slice' with mushrooms, ham and other stuff was a bit 'icky'. Their other pizza slices were definitely above average. Their pizza slices seemed to be price more fairly than their whole 15"/16" pizza. Decent, cheap slices of pizza. It's excellent on-the-go grub. I wouldn't go out of my way to dine at this place though. The pizza is average and service is quick. Pizza tastes generic, Papa John's does a better job on all angles. But, if you are starving in Towson, this beats the mall food court. read more

Pasta Mista was recommended by a client and when we were in Towson looking for a quick bite, we thought we'd give it a try. I was a bit uncertain as it looked very strip-mall, but the teenage workers at the registers were friendly and helpful. The white pizza was really tasty and the crust was perfection! I got the gnocchi with pesto sauce. It was good but the sauce was more a pesto/alfredo sauce. My spouse got the tortellini with the tomato/moz sauce (can't remember if that's the "pink" sauce). His was the best, the sauce was very flavorful. Both pasta dishes were huge portions at less than $10 and each came with a large wedge of bread. We'll come back. read more

This is easily the best pizza I've had in the Towson area. Make sure you show up at a busy time to ensure that you get a fresh pizza and not a reheated slice that's been sitting in the display case for a while. If you're a pizza aficionado like myself (and rarely settle for chain pizza--yuck!) you should be happy here. read more

Probably the best pizza in Baltimore County!! (Maria's in TImonium used to #1 in my high school days but they have gone downhill.) plus you can order by the slice. I've eaten from here several times since moving to Towson, both at home and in the store. The service is quick. The selection is good. The pizza is about the best "utility" style NY-style pizza you are going to find in this area. The sauce is just the right consistency and the crust is just chewy enough. My only complaint would be that their cheese is a little runnier than normal and the pizzas have to be handled very gently until the cheese has time to set. I'd also note that their online menu is hard to navigate, whereas their in-store menu is very clear. I'm dinging points for the runny cheese, the weird online menu, and the fact that the dining area had garlic out everywhere but no parmesan cheese. read more

Quick service, lots of options, and decent pizza-by-the-slice. This has become our go-to spot when we go to Towson Town Center. It's right across the street, and way better than any of the fast food that are actually in the mall. Plus they have a few tv's so you can catch a few minutes of whatever game is on. read more

Our family has been ordering pizza from here for years. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza tonight and found a mosquito on it when we returned home. I called the manager and all she said was I'm sorry and did I want another one. I was already home and wasn't driving back out there since I don't live close. Very good food with a poorly planned seating area. There are only enough tables and chairs in the restaurant for about 12 people but with lots of open, unused floor space. They don't even have stools along the counter, which seems like a no brainer. While most restaurants ask their customers whether they would prefer to dine in or carry out, a more appropriate query at Pasta Mista might be "carry out, eat while sitting in filth against the wall like a harried traveler, or be cast out into the elements to consume your portion like a punished dog." On a recent Sunday evening my girlfriend and I ordered the chicken Parmesan sub, a slice of stuffed pizza and fries. With every seat in the dining area occupied and dozens of more restless customers crowding any available standing space at the counters, our only option was to clutch our flimsy trays of food to our chests and schlep them to a stiff-backed metal park bench in front of a Starbucks several storefronts away. A plastic tray would have made our exile a little less harsh, but even that primitive convenience exceeded Pasta Mista's grasp. Balancing two styrofoam trays on my knees, I found that my fries were of good quality compared to the standard of a bowling alley or flea market snack bar. My chicken Parmesan sub was above average. The bread was crusty and the cheese was melted properly, but the chicken was on the dry side and the ratio of meat/bread to sauce was lacking. A side of marinara sauce would have been a welcome touch. My girlfriend, who was nearly ravenous at the time, was thoroughly satisfied with her stuffed pizza, which did include a side of sauce. She offered me a bite, and it was quite good. Indeed, the food at Pasta Mista is a treat, which makes the restaurant's inhospitable dining experience all the more disappointing. It makes one wonder why a successful restaurant would make things so uncomfortable for it's customers. The atmosphere seemed to boast that there was "no room at the inn" for weary souls. Perhaps, like the Boston Red Sox removing seats to insure continued "sold out" games, Pasta Mista's inadequate seating is a clandestine effort to mask a declining product and create an artificially crowded restaurant. Whatever the motivation, Pasta Mista's food deserves a much more loving presentation. As it stands, I might return for carry out. If I found myself in the unfortunate scenario of needing a seat to enjoy my food, I will hope that I have some camping chairs in my trunk. read more

After studying in Italy for four months, I can truly say Pasta Mista has great Italian food. I have gone weekly for four years and it never lets me down. I recommend the greek salad. This is a really good pizza spot. It very had to find good pizza in Maryland but this place has it. I'm from Jersey and this is the closest to jersey pizza I have been able to find in the towson area. It is what I would consider normal crust (not wafer thin, but not a thick crust either). I usually get a plain slice and the chicken parm slice. The pizza is consistently good. I do wish they would deliver, I'm just lazy sometime. :-) read more

Let me just say that my friend and I were super excited to get pizza here because of the rave reviews. Well...this was a HUGE disappointment. We called ahead and ordered a Hawaiian pizza which isn't complicated in the least. When you think of Hawaiian pizza you think of pineapple and ham (or Canadian bacon) as toppings. When we opened the box we thought it was a bit odd that the pizza looked so white, but assumed it must have been because of the cheese. I took my first bite and realized that the pizza was so white because it had no marinara sauce! WHO AUTOMATICALLY MAKES A PIZZA SANS SAUCE AND DOESN'T DISCLOSE THAT INFORMATION TO THE CUSTOMER. I'd like to know who thinks this is ok. We later called the store to figure out how they make Hawaiian pizzas. Apparently, they do not include sauce, but it can be requested. Had my friend and I known this at the time of ordering we have requested sauce. All the associate could offer us is small tubs of marinara sauce, but since we had already left it wasn't a feasible option. All in all, my friend and I are super disappointed. The pizza would have been great had it included sauce. As a disclosure to all future customers, don't order any pizza under the assumption that they will put sauce on it! read more

Great selection of specialty pizzas. If you want variety this is your place. If you want low and reasonable prices per slice. This is your place. However this isn't my favorite spot, taste wise it didn't do it for me. The slices are thin and crispy, so if New York style is you, then stop on by. I've been to the Canton Pasta Mista but since moving to Towson, I ventured out to try the Towson one and I must say that I think it is better. I ordered my usual white veggie pizza (one of my favorites) and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The vegetables used were fresh and the crust was the right consistency of chewy and crispy. This place is the best! I've been coming here for years and they know me by name. They handle rush well but there's not a lot of seating. I usually take it to go since I work and live close by. I love their spaghetti. I'm lactose intolerant and they accommodate me. When I could have cheese, I used to get their pizza and it is the best. They are known for their thin slice and many toppings. I wish they had more drink options, but it's okay because I usually just get water. I recommend this place for a good, quick Italian bite! read more

A fun variety of pizza with pretty generous slices and toppings, though sometimes a little light on the "standards" - most days they're more likely to have chicken parmesan than pepperoni, which is fine by me but isn't for everybody. One afternoon I came in to Pasta Mista after work, if I'm in the Towson area I try to stop in because I really love the pizza as well the pasta. This particular day I was extremely unhappy with my service, I stood their waiting to be asked if I needed any help and no one greeted me, or asked if I needed anything. Then two white patrons came in and was greeted very warmly and they made their order promptly. Still standing there I went to one young lady and ask may I order please, I was still not greed and when I asked a questions no one answer then turned their back to me. As I waited for my order all the other patrons at the time was white, was called by their name and number, I was never called by name, number or anything, my food was up left to the side and never called, no one asked my name, no one called my number and when the other patrons received their orders I witness a thank you have a wonderful day, I myself received nothing. No hello, nice day or here your order, if I eventually did not ask no one would have said anything. Hate to say but it felt very racial related, like I got the black ethnic treatment.
