The pizza was just okay--nothing special--but the garlic knots and chicken were definitely the highlights. The knots were perfectly buttery, garlicky, and had a nice chewy texture. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and had great seasoning. Service was a good, and the atmosphere was pretty average. It's been a minute since I've been to Bertucci's, but I'm glad to see that their pizza is still good. The restaurant was busy this particular Friday night, but we were still seated within a reasonable 30-25 minutes. So on with it... the pizza was good. My friend and I both ordered small pizzas - she got the Tuscan vegetable with eggplant and other stuff. Mine was essentially the same - with chicken and no eggplant. I enjoyed both. Toppings were perfectly roasted and flavorful. Crust was thin with the right amount of crispy and chewy. Good service too. Our server Wayne was friendly and attentive. read more

I used to come here on the regular years ago. It had a great brick oven Pizza, but lately both the quality of the ingredients as well as the quality of the service has degraded. The mozzarella is tasteless, and the once satisfying chunky tomato sauce now tastes nearly as sour as lemons. The crust can range from its original satisfying airiness to the thin, more bland crust edges that have no depth. The sauce and the cheese EASILY fall off of the pizza if you're not careful. Be ready to experience intense hand burns from sliding sauce and toppings. The customer service was poor. The manager here (who I haven't seen in some time) blatantly lied to me after we (a family member and I) waited over an hour for our pizza, saying that it was only 15 minutes and contradicting our accurate count of time. (The method involved recalling back to the time of arrival as we were seated quickly, and the time it was when we began to complain.) The manager had an arrogant tone, defending his contradictory statements while placing the burden of responsibility on us for leaving when the pizza was just made. This establishment is a disappointment and it appears that its hiring practices prefer quantity over quality while also disrespecting its own legacy. read more

Well drinks $12.75 and we specified rail since we are only mixing (Vodka cranberry) in a Very small glass packed with ice. Special drink was also $12.75 with a huge ice cub and only an ounce of total drink including flavor mix (Not exaggerating) Pizza is always amazing and service was outstanding. Two drinks were more than the pizza. I was so irritated at the bill that I will not go back. You are ripping people off. It's tasteless. Oh how I miss the golden days of Bertucci's. Hubby and I brought the kids here since they were babies, and we all still love the brick oven style pizza they are famous for. This location and the Columbia one are the most popular in the Baltimore area. In 2018, Bertucci's filed for Ch.11 and we are prepared for the worst. I was happy to hear that they were sold and continued to hang in there. But since this time, the building has taken a real dive--from the outside in. As you pull into the parking lot, you will see a building that could use a fresh coat of paint and awnings that are covered in black grime. A power wash might help. The floor between the double door entryway is in terrible shape. The foyer is run down. The tables are well worn and the carpet is too. The rest rooms have seen much better days. Not many customers were here on their "Two for Tuesday" night. I still don't know how they are staying afloat. It's gotta be the carry out that is carrying them. They have a pretty extensive menu of Italian dishes ( think Olive Garden), but the pizza is the main event here. This time, the service was great-we have had this young waiter before and he's excellent. Bread was fresh this time (recently it's been hit or miss). The salad was just okay; they've always skimped on the tomato and cucumbers while overloading you with lettuce. The pizzas--one was to take home were correctly made and as tasty as they should be. The waiter timed the take home order do it was ready to go when we were. It's really sad to see the place looking this worn and in need of a makeover. Maybe COVID has continued to hurt sales, and the store esthetics will have to take a backseat while they try desperately to keep doors open. Yes, we are loyal to Bertucci's pizza. But if it gets much worse, I'm not sure if I will want to dine inside. read more

Lived in the Northern Baltimore community for over 13 years, passed this location going North and South on York Rd thousands of times, and even stopped in at the Starbucks next door numerous times but never had any fascination or interest in stopping in to this location... until last night. We did same day reservations for a table of 4. We had family in town and they wanted more of a chain Italian taste for the night. We decided to try something different instead of going downtown to Little Italy. We're glad we did but there were some things that definitely had ZERO Italian to them. We were seated right away when we arrived which was nice. All other customers were enjoying themselves. You could tell that everything was running smoothly with no hiccups that evening. Servers were moving steadily, tables were well stocked with drinks and grub. It was almost immediately after we were seated that our server was at our table asking for drink orders and to get some appetizers rolling. The rest of our experience was similar. Very quick paced but to our liking. We didn't feel pushed out which was great. I didn't get our servers name but she did a fantastic job. Food was great as well. Well prepared with large portions. I got the Hand-Stretched Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Artisan Pizza. I did not realize how ginormous it was going to be. She brought it out on a huge paddle. I thought it was going to be on a large square plate of some kind but wow I was wrong! This thing was huge and I've been nibbling on it for lunch leftovers. Never been to one of these before, and my wife had gotten takeout earlier this week, so we decided to try lunch in-restaurant this weekend. Starting with the food: pretty decent all around! We were brought fresh rolls, which were very good, and split the fried mozzarella, which we both loved--perfect amount of breading, cheese was chewy but not overly so. For entrees, the wife got the buratta pizza and I got the cheese ravioli. Pizza was quite good in my opinion, although it wasn't my wife's cup of tea. Ravioli was fine, and the sauce was good, but overall, nothing special. Good ambiance--everything looks very modern and I love the way the tables are spaced out in the restaurant--you won't be arm to arm with people here, and you won't have to shout just to be heard. Our booth did have a pretty big tear in it, however. Service was kind of a weak spot, although nothing major. When we got there, there was no waiter/waitress/hostess to be found in the dining area, and it took us several minutes to get seated. When they brought our entrees, our waitress brought me the wrong dish. She was very apologetic about it, though, and my order came out five minutes later. Overall, it's fine--it's almost exactly what you expect from a major, slightly upscale chain. It's on the pricey side all things considered, and there are several Italian restaurants in the area I'd go back to before trying this place again. read more

I got the prosciutto and onion pizza, oh my oh yum! It was so good that when I heated up the leftovers in my office, someone came around the corner and stole a slice from me! I almost bit them... I'm mostly hear to leave a big 5 star review for our server, Annie. There were only two servers there on the Sunday we dined and she warned us things would be slow. They were a bit, but her customer service was impeccable. I am a new mom and was nursing my baby in the booth. She noticed and was so kind to have brought me my pizza all cut up all nice so it was easy to eat and nurse. I didn't even ask. I can't say enough about the great experience we had at Bertucci's yesterday! The team, particularly Dana and Julz, accommodated our group of 30+ for my sons' 10th birthday with perfection. Everything was set up so nicely when we arrived, all of the food was served timely and hot, drinks came out right away.... They even quickly accommodated a dish request outside of what we had pre-ordered. The team was friendly and professional. I love the two for one pizzas on Tuesdays. I will invite my son to take a pizza and me and my husband enjoy a pizza. I prefer to pick it up on the way home from work. I love their wood fired grill for baking the pizza. I then have leftovers for two days from the pizza. They also have a great app to order online and schedule a pick up time. read more

Loved our BOGO lunch at Bertucci's! We didn't know about the special until our waitress told us about it. FYI, the special ends on 8/31/23. We had unlimited salad, chicken parm, and spaghetti with meatballs. All of it was delicious and tasted homemade! The sauce was perfectly seasoned and had a meaty depth, which I love! My wife and I love Bertucci's in Lutherville. It is a great place to come with family and friends. One of the main reasons we like it so much is our server, Brooke. She is the best server ever! Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable, she seems to know what we want before we ask for it. one time she saw us in the parking lot and had our rolls and salad at the table before we sat down! Another reason we love going there is the food. The pizza is the absolute best. Ronald makes it perfectly every time. I never order pizza anywhere else because it's never as good. Bertucci's opened its doors from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thanksgiving Day 2022. Why they bothered to do so is completely beyond my comprehension! When my daughter and I arrived, the only patrons in the store were the waitress' friends that she solely entertained the entire night at the bar. However, she managed to reluctantly pull herself away from her more important conversation to ask if we needed a menu. Well, apparently there was actually no need for the menu because the only option for my family's Thanksgiving Day feast was pizza! What restaurant would serve only pizza on Thanksgiving Day? My daughter and I love Bertucci's and turned down a few invites because we just wanted some mommy daughter time. Our Thanksgiving Day plan was to binge watch holiday movies and then go to our favorite restaurant for dinner. So, we were completely disappointed when we arrived at the Bertucci's in Timonium Maryland. We felt unwelcome the moment we entered! The staff's facial expressions, body language and tone of voice shouted, "WHY ARE YOU HERE?" My daughter begged to stay because she could enjoy a portion of her favorite Bertucci's items -- it's bread. Otherwise, I would have bolted after the pizza only announcement. Committed to the stay to appease my daughter's wishes, I had to look the other way when the cook slammed my pizza on the countertop that I am sure was not sanitized or clean. Why not place the pizza directly on the plate? Then there was the red pepper incident! I spotted the bottles towards the back of the store and looked towards the front of the store to see my waitress too engaged in her private party to recognize I had a need. So, I thought it would be easier to trek to the back of the restaurant than to peel her away from her priorities! The cook didn't want to be there, the waitress didn't want to be there and at this point, neither did I! As I was leaving, I asked the manger if this was a corporate decision to open on Thanksgiving, but only serve pizza! When he said yes it was a corporate decision, I thought there is no possible way an intelligent person in headquarters would limit its menu to only pizza on a day that most people expect a feast of variety! The bigger question that both Bertucci's and myself should ask is: Why did any of us bother?! I sure wished I didn't!!! read more

I placed an order over the phone at 5:30pm on a Sunday night for pickup. They Said the wait was 35-40 minutes. When I got to the restaurant they informed me it was going to be another hour. The manager came to the car and informed me that they are short staffed in the kitchen and got slammed with too many orders. I can understand waiting another 15 minutes (which has happened to me before) for food but another hour is COMPLETELY unacceptable. I can't say I'll be coming back. read more

Never will I understand these low reviews. We love Bertucci's and have been going for years. Their food is consistently top quality and value. They went with the flow and offered great take out and curb side pick up service. You know things are fresh, because you can watch them being made. Be on the look out for great deals, too.
