I'm really disappointed with my experience with Renzo's Pizzeria. I called to place an order and, yes, I may have confused the order for a moment -- but I was actively correcting myself and trying to fix it. I clearly said to forget the two eggplant parms and instead do one eggplant parm or one chicken parm. Instead of helping clarify, the person on the phone repeatedly said, "You're confusing me and I'm busy, can we hurry this up." I'm sorry, but that's not how you speak to customers. If you're busy, simply put me on hold -- I would have gladly waited. I also work at a pizzeria, and I would never speak to a customer that way. A little patience and basic manners go a long way. We have now been to Renzo's for take out twice since it recently re-opened. The pizza was always good, bit we were equally impressed by the entrees and hero's, they may have even bee better then the old Renzo's (which was not bad to begin with). My husband and I heard Renzo's was under new ownership and decided to give it another try as it's just about 2 miles from our house. We are glad we did. We ordered a chicken Parmesan hero and a pie. In our opinion, it's the best pizza in the neighborhood. The slices were very substantial, not light and thin like a lot of places around here. The toppings were good quality and HOT. This place used to be amazing under the previous owners. Not only is the food just meh, but the owners is extremely rude and mean. I have severe food allergies and politely asked him if there was an ingredient in the pizza, he yelled at me NO. I then ordered a slice and asked for a side salad which came with dressing. I sat down to have my salad while I waited for the pizza and when noticed that the dressing could potentially have one of my anaphylactic allergens. We just moved to the area and Renzos was the first place that we tried. We also just placed a catering order with them. Their food was honestly so good. Everyone raved about the food. All the guys in there are so nice everytime you walk in. All the food in our catering order was priced very reasonably and they even included plates, utensils, serving utensils and napkins. Do not hesitate to give this place a try. Their spaghetti, meatball and ricotta cheese roll is sooo good. This will be our go to Italian restaurant, hopefully for many years to come.
