Renzos is the perfect hidden gem because its not your ordinary restaurant - it's a perfect blend of fine dining and a cozy pizzeria, giving you the flexibility to choose between a casual or fancy atmosphere. Mot only is their menu literally massive... I can simply guarantee you will have lunch the next day do you see how big that serving size is??? All of it tastes like a home cooked meal. Such high quality food and you're getting SO MUCH of it. Literally amazing. They have so many interesting pizza flavors i know one will peak your interest. Last time I went I tried a Mac and cheese slice?? That's literally crazy. The grandma corner slice is the one I'm consistently reaching for every time I'm there. It just stares at me I can't help it. Food included in Video: - Italian chicken soup - Penne vodka with chicken in a bread bowl - Angel hair with meatballs - Margarita Pizza - Sicilian Slice - Garlic knots - Misc slices: Definitely use them for Sunday football delivery, catering, or even just a family dinner in the dining room.

Ordered a pie to go. Terrible. No flavor at all. Crust was thin which would've been great had there been any other redeeming qualities. Definitely a waste of over $20 for a plain cheese. Sadly won't be back. Extra star for the fun sign though.

Have been coming there for a while:) I brought some of my friends there and they wished to have place like this in their area ambiance is amazing also, place is clean, staff accommodating (and I am not an easy customer, always come up with deviations, lol) just love this place. Drove extra miles to have best experience in this location for several times because it worth it!!

Increase cook time and finish cooking the crust. Maybe evaluate and change the sauce being used.

Wakes always depress the hell out of me anyway, but afterward we ended up at this bar restaurant. It's a totally regular, blue-collar joint. Nothing fancy or phony about it at all. They had the usual stuff sitting out as the wake crowd shuffled in. Trays of wraps, wings, pasta, Caesar salad, sausage and peppers, that whole routine. Average food, really, but it got the job done. Everybody was feeling pretty happy as the drinks came in and went down celebrating this mans life on this depressing planet. It wasn't great or anything, but it didn't pretend to be, which I respect. If you really want to know the truth about the dining area, the whole setup in there was funny as hell. On one wall, they had all these cartoon posters, or whatever the hell they were, like Artificial Intelligence Smurfs and Angry Birds and all those childish pictures hanging up like it was a damn nursery. But then right on the other wall, they've got pictures of Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra, like they're trying to act all classy and sophisticated, which just killed me. It's such a strange contrast that it almost breaks your heart. And then over on the bar side, it was just this huge square bar where a bunch of locals were sitting around watching the Mets lose on TV, some old bar fly playing a version of compacted nine pins. They were all staring at me like I had two heads or something just for wearing an expensive suit, which depressed me as well.

This week's excursion brought us to Struggletown BBQ in Mount Sinai, NY. From what I learned, what started as a food truck morphed into a brick-and-mortar business that has obviously hit its stride. This place is awesome! On the table this time was a "Big John Sampler", a 1/4# platter of brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and ribs, as well as a side of chicken wings in an Alabama White Sauce and corn bread. Absolute winners all around. My first real introduction to corn bread was from Paul Prudhomme's cookbook "Louisiana Kitchen," where I learned to make, and love, a traditional southern corn bread (moist, flaky, and somewhat sweet). Of all the places that I've been to, in my humble opinion, this place has the best outside K-Paul's. There is a reason that it's one of the most requested items from the restaurant. It was excellent! Why am I making a fuss about cornbread? Because it's the details that make a restaurant great. Next came the chicken wings in Alabama White Sauce. I'm now a convert. Sure, I've had it a few times, but this version was eye-opening! Perfectly smoked, then fried chicken wings slathered in this red-sauce alternative was an epiphany for me. I don't think I'll ever look at the humble chicken wing the same way again. I am spoiled for life! Goodbye Buffalo, hello Decatur (where the sauce reputedly originated). Yeah, that good and worth traveling for. The meats? What you want from a BBQ joint. The brisket, pulled pork, and chicken were all juicy and smoked to perfection; the ribs had a smoke ring that made me jealous of their skill set (I'll get there one day). Have I said "awesome? yet? Plenty of parking, all cards, and they cater! This is one of those places that you'll want to day trip to if you're jonesing for some smoky greatness. Very nice people behind the counter and a magician working the pits. You gotta go here. Just not on a Monday, they're closed.
