Very sad looking place from the outside. Its in a desolate unwelcoming shopping center. The inside isn't bad but the huge bar overtakes any decent ambience when sitting at a table. The food is average. There are a few good meals but overall not worth the money you will spend. The pizza I had was terrible although lots of people rave about it. I would never get another one. The women owner, Selena I think is her name, seems like a miserable person. She rarely smiles and does not make you feel welcome at all. Looks like she's been in the business to long by her demeanor. There are too many other good options in the area to spend your hard earned money here if you ask me. Based on the reviews, I was excited to come here for a belated valentines dinner. But when we got there I was disappointed. The food is normal Italian, nothing out of the ordinary, service was eh, nothing spectacular, but the atmosphere is why I won't be going back. The enormous bar in the middle of the restaurant takes up most of the building. If I'm at a "fine dining" restaurant, I don't want to be able to be sitting at a table and listening to the conversations at the bar while they're watching the 10 tv screens above them. This restaurant/bar serves the worst chicken parmigiana I have ever had. It was dark meat and pounded paper thin, certainly didn't taste like chicken. The pasta and sauce was edible but the salad and entree left a lot to be desired. I'd eat at McDonalds before I ate here again. read more

Terrible service!!! Christmas Eve letdown! Took forever to order drinks, then once we did they took at least 20 mintues to come. Had 11 people in our party, 3 never got their dinner salads. Kids meal was also forgotten, by the time it finally came out some adults at our table we're already finished their meal. One seafoord dish that was ordered was supposed to have white sauce, came out with red sauce, we didn't complain, just ate it. Ordered more drinks that never came out but were charged for them. Had to have the bill fixed. Water glasses were never refilled either. This meal/dining experience was a complete letdown. Will not be returning. One star is way too kind. Went in tonight with my family and in-laws and were the only table in the entire restaurant...not an exaggeration. The hostess had a tough time figuring out how to set up a party of 9..in an EMPTY restaurant...so we had to do it for her. Maybe 6 beers on tap...waitress didn't know what they had. Drinks took 15 minutes to get...in an EMPTY restaurant. The kids dinners were brought out way before the adults dinner because the server thought they'd want to eat. First off that's not her call so we were hoping she would entertain our kids when they finished eating since the adults hadn't even received our salads! Secondly I guess she forgot about the appetizers and bread we ordered for that purpose. I can understand since we were her only table. Took an hour to get the adults dinner...an hour...in an EMPTY restaurant! When we made our displeasure known the server informed us she told the owner. The gutless, coward of an owner never came to us once. Instead he walked by, ignored us and when we asked for him he was man enough to send another employee to do his job! The woman he sent wasn't even a manager and was incredibly rude..and tried to shoulder check my wife, who was holding our 1 year old, on the way out. The owner is a pathetic excuse for a man and a business owner, obviously could care less about his customers, and must evidently spend his time at work looking for his balls cause he sure as hell does nothing else. Visited Pasta Vino on a Sunday. My first question is why keep the sushi bar at an Italian restaurant? Two tables occupied on the patio. We were the only diners inside. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient. The food quality was poor. Asked for blue cheese dressing for my salad as I don't care for vinaigrette (the house dressing). Our waiter stated he would try to find some; they do serve it with their wings, so it was a go! My son order the chicken parm, which was passable. It was large and had plenty of cheese but the sauce was bland. His pasta came with the same sauce. I tasted it and it tastes like it is a prepared sauce from a can. (No attempt to doctor it up with spices or cheese.) His side of a meatball (bland and flavorless) and sausage (good texture but not flavorful) were a disappointment. I ordered the spaghetti and clams in white sauce. There were 10 steamed clams on top of a bowl of pasta swimming in oil/butter. No clams, seasoning or flavor in the "sauce" except for a pinch of fresh parsley on top. It was inedible. I will not be returning anytime soon. I am very disappointed seeing that this is a Lamberti restaurant. I belong to a group that was going to book the private room for a holiday party. I am recommending that we look elsewhere. Bring back the bar menu from Lucky Lou's. The menu was better and so was the food quality. read more

We are frequent patrons who enjoy their super fun bar, tv's and music selection. The service is very good. Nice, hard-working, mannerly people in a very cool atmosphere that appreciate the business. Food is consistently fresh(seafood) and good. Pizza is the best in South Jersey and my husband, the unofficial pizza 'officianado' makes me try them all, from NYC, to Trenton to Philly, Delaware, Chicago. This is really the best pizza I've ever had. The crust is thin, crispy yet has a nice chew, and flavorful. Last night I had a dinner special of chicken cutlet in a lobster, white -truffle oil, light cream sauce with asparagus, shallots and sundried tomatoes over angel hair pasta. On the Special's menu it is listed as a veal entree, but the kitchen was more than happy to substitute Chicken for me. The dish was so delicately seasoned with such a fine touch that I enjoyed smelling it almost as much as tasting it. In addition, it was such a generous portion that I enjoyed it two nights later for dinner and now want to go back tomorrow and order it again!! What an absolutely fabulous recipe. Very fine, subtle flavor but also comforting and satisfying. Not to mention, Selena the Bar Manger, bartenders Jayna and Chris are just so pleasant, professional and helpful, it really is a great place to go! Enjoy!! read more

Stumbled upon this place on the way to the shore and we're glad we did. The location isn't ideal for such a beautiful and huge place - I don't feel like they get the traffic they deserve. But it is beautifully decorated and the food was delicious. We got the stuffed eggplant appetizer, we each got a salad, I got the carbonara and my boyfriend got the scallops and shrimp entree. We also ordered cocktails from the specialty drink menu. The portions are big, the food was fresh, the waiter was friendly, and we were pleased with the selection of premium alcohol they carry. We have a hard time finding Hendrick's and Chopin when we go out, and this place has both. We'll be back, maybe we'll sit at the bar and try the bar menu next time! read more

One of my favorite restaurants , food is always great & service is always outstanding. Matt & Robert do a great job behind the bar making some of the best drinks around.. you never have to wait long for service .... they have the best sushi bar around & every Wednesday its have price. The crabcakes are to die for & the Pasta specials are delicious. They have a brick oven that they cook pizza in that people rave about. That's one thing I haven't tried yet because The specials always sound so good that I always try them first. Highly recommend you stopping by there and having dinner. Tried this local spot for the first time ...unfortunately it missed the mark on appetizers and service ! ... Calamari were over cooked and had no flavor , also tried the cheesesteak egg rolls ... left a lot to be desired ! Chose not to have a full dinner due to the service ... the bartenders seemed very , very distracted and not attentive at all . When we did order a drink she seemed very bothered and we had to keep flagging her down to get another beverage ! So sorry but your place was not welcoming My suggestion would be to hire better bartenders ...they do make or break a business like this ! read more

We had to ask for our server after sitting there for close to 10 minutes, he came several minutes later. Then 10 minutes after that we got our drinks. Now we are 20 minutes into the night. This is a great spot that is completely underappreciated. Pizza is amazing, pasta and other Italian specialties are solid as well. They have sushi which is a little heavy on the Americanized stuff but it's still decent. (Think on the level of high end supermarket sushi. Morimoto it isn't). Service is also good and friendly, Only criticism is that the beer selection, given the strength of the current brewing scene, is really pedestrian. At least have Moretti and Peroni. There are so many great beers that will really enhance a diner's experience. However, I will suffer through a couple of Coronas so I can enjoy your great pizza, pasta, and bar snacks. read more

So I have been to Pasta Vino a few times before and this last time was the last time. A family of 5 they had a special of oyster on the half shell. The restaurant was not particularly busy (bar had more patrons) Service was slow it took for ever to get our drink orders. Once it came time to order I wanted fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Well for a pasta restaurant (hence the name) they don't have fettuccine pasta so settled for linguini. Once the dish came out it was missing the chicken. The wait staff never came to check to see if the meal came out ok. We had to get a busser to inform our staff my meal was wrong. 20 minutes later they come out with a bowl of boiled chicken in a crap full of butter. By that time the family had finished their meals. We had been to PV the first week or two it was open and had a very good meal along with great service. I purchased a gift certificate for friends for Xmas hoping they would have the same enjoyable experience. We returned last Friday May 16 with friends from out of state having been away ourselves for the winter. It was AWFUL. Service by Chris was terrible- brought us wrong meals, had to ask twice for beverages,cheese etc. when 2 out of 4 finally got their meal it was cold and had to go back. Extremely disappointing. Wont be back again. I am so sorry I bought a gift for others from this restaurant. How can things go downhill so quickly. Pasta Vino used to be my favorite restaurant up until my experience there tonight, which will most definitely be my last. I went there with 3 of my friends to enjoy a nice happy hour on our only day off together. We arrived shortly after 6 pm, being well aware that the happy hour ended at 7. We planned to have a couple of drinks & apps at the bar & then sit down to have dinner at one of the tables since we knew happy hour was at the bar only. My friend had 2 drinks AND split THREE appetizers with his girlfriend & then went to order his 3rd drink & was rudely cut off by our bartender who was blatantly ill-mannered from the start. My friend felt very uncomfortable so we decided to take our experience else where. I later found out that said bartender was the owner, so I confronted her & she was immediately defensive & I had to ask her to talk more calmly to me because I was not coming at her in a negative way. I pointed out that plenty of other guests at the bar had arrived at the same time as us & had just as many drinks WITHOUT food & she continued to serve them a 4th drink. All she did in response was lie about cutting him off. That being said, we will not be going back to Pasta Vino. read more

I'm new to the area, so I wanted to try the restaurant. As a bit of a background, I co-owned restaurants in the past and worked the industry for years. At the bar I ordered the meatballs. I must say, I've never had any Italian red sauce with absolutely NO specks of spices in it. Totally bland.....it tasted like canned tomato sauce. The meatballs themselves were also very "flat"...no taste. I will give the full menu a try in a few weeks. The place seemed very nice and beautifully decorated. One more thing, $6 for a well drink in my opinion is steep for a place located in an abandoned shopping center. read more

The location is awful but the outside of the restaurant makes it look promising. We were sat at our table and a few minutes later the bus boy brought us glasses of ice water. A couple minutes later our server came and took our drink order. As the minutes passed it seemed that our server was the only one working the tables ( 5 tables, one that had 8 people at it). At the 20 minute mark we had still not received our drinks nor had our food order been taken. I went up the bar to inquire about our drinks and the bartender brashly said they would be there in a minute. The server then brought the drinks to us, took our food order and said he would bring over a roll basket. The drinks were awful and 10 minutes later the server came by to ask "No one brought the roll basket?" He then returned 5 minutes later with a basket with 2 rolls and about 20 butter packets. Another 10 minutes passed before our meals were served. The food was pretty good, not Italian restaurant quality and reasonably priced. I saw a hostess, 2 people working the bar, our server, the bus boy, and a male and female hanging near the kitchen area, not really sure of their purpose. I'm not sure if anyone was managing the place but someone should have seen that 1 server trying to cover the restaurant by himself wasn't working, those of us sitting at the tables certainly noticed. There is a large bar in the middle of the restaurant with TVs above it giving the place more of a sports bar feel. If Pasta Vino is a sports bar then its average, if its to be an Italian restaurant (which is what we searched for in the area) then its poor. read more

My family went here for an 80th birthday party. We were a large group, 16 people, who ordered drinks and multiple courses for dinner. Our server Nelson was impeccable and so friendly! He was on point with the specials and menus and everything we requested was exactly right. He was so on top of everything and really made our experience a great one! We all enjoyed our meals as well! We went to Pasta Vino for a late lunch 2/14 2014. I had the personal pizza with arugula and proscuitto with sharp cheese, it was perfect from their wood fired oven. My date had a delicious burger with ok fries....Nice decor and atmsphere. Service excellent. We'll will go again! read more

What a surprise. Tucked away between Berlin and Atco on the White Horse Pike in the mall vacated by K Mart and still home to The Dollar Store and maybe a few other establishments, Pasta Vino offers an oasis of fine service, clean and very European (Italian) ambiance and a wait service staff whose courtesy and promptness I have not experienced in the area before. I ordered the pasta primavera as did my Father's Day fellow diners and it was delicious as was the catch of the day, branzino Chilean sea bass, beautifully prepared at the table by head waiter Nelson. The only criticism was the somewhat stingy wine pour, but that paled in comparison to the fine service and very reasonable prices. read more

WOW! Worst dining experience ever. Food took forever. About an 1.5 hours in a half empty restaurant. I ordered what was their special. 14 oz.T-bone with crab meat. What I received was a 10 oz at best Rib Eye. To top it off it was $44. I would expect that for a Prime cut of beef but that surely not what this was. If this place wants to be an exclusive high end restaurant (as it's prices would suggest)it has a long way to go. I'm guessing the doors should be closed within a year. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Went here with my boyfriend for a date night. Mind you, I am a server at a restaurant and I am all about making sure my service is ahead of the game. So, we get seated immediately by one of the waiters. We start looking at the menu and all of the waiters and waitresses walking by not looking at us, not asking for drinks, nothing. Finally after 10 minutes of waiting, I walk up to the front desk and ask the owner what is going on, he finds our server. She walks over and says "Be right with you." Nothing else! No, "Sorry about the wait, what can I get you started with to drink?" NOTHING! She was awful!!! So then 5 minutes later, the man who sat us comes over and asks us what we wanted to drink. By then we knew what we wanted to eat because we had waited half a century for someone to even notice us. We ordered the Fried Calamari app, 2 house salads and Penne Alls Vodka with chicken, and Shrimp Fra Diavolo over penne. 10 minutes goes by and no bread. Meanwhile, the woman who was supposed to be our server takes on 2 other tables right next to us (surprisingly she was on her toes with them, giving them bread right away) I ask where our bread was. "Oh, he's getting it for you." she says. We get our bread, and our calamari. We take 2 bites each and the server brings us our salads on top of it. Sorry that I want to dine in with my boyfriend? Now we're being rushed. We eat a bit of our salad and finish off the calamari which was pretty good by the way (the only good thing about the entire experience) yet, now our drinks are empty. No drinks were refilled until almost half way through our entrees. The server clears our plates and brings out our dinners. My Chicken Alls Vodka tasted like pure chalk. DISGUSTING! And my boyfriend who ordered SHRIMP FRA D OVER PENNE got served, Shrimp, Chicken and Scallops in a fra d sauce over linguini with mushrooms. What the hell!!! These people suck!!! The guy doesnt ask us how were doing once, until after 15 minutes we are just sitting there because we couldn't even touch the disgusting platter that they call italian cuisine. Despicable. Better yet, he brings us back both of our dinners wrapped in a box. We didnt even have the option not to take it home. not what I call a good meal. 1) Server was creepy, unsure of himself, didn't know the menu and just made conversation difficult. 2) How do you charge $16.95 for a pasta dish? With pasta being some of the least expensive food around you think they would put some of the profit into hiring real servers instead of high school kids. 3) All the meals are pretty much the same with one having tomatoes and the next with the tomatoes replaced with asparagus. 4) I ordered the San Marco which was a blandly floured piece of chicken placed on a bed of salad greens that was obnoxiously over dressed with olive oil and the cheapest balsamic vinaigrette I have ever tasted. 5) How do you get off charging that amount for a poor man's chicken salad. Next time I will go to the pizza place down the street and get one ten times the taste and 1/4 the price. 6) My wife's Chicken Maximo taste like someone poured a cup of cheap (ripple) wine in the sauce. If I wanted bad food I would have went to Rack's down the street, I would have paid a third the cost and would been able to look at some local freaks!!!!
