We came here at the suggestion of our Senior Community. This location is in a shopping center that seems to be very vacant, so lots of parking! I liked the theme style of the buildings here (reminded me of German architecture). I was told this business is really what's keeping the shopping center afloat. Ambiance is cozy with a small dining area. I ordered a calzone for my meal, and we got garlic rolls delivered to the table. The garlic rolls were decent and certainly a great way to start the meal. Our Seniors all enjoyed their meals. The calzone was not anything that stood out to me and was fairly average. Overall, the group was satisfied so a win for the outing! Sat in the bar thinking drink orders would be quicker. Ordered a cosmo before wanting to order food. Took about 20 minutes to get my drink. When I ordered my food I also ordered a glass of wine. This review is long overdue as this has been a family favorite for over a decade!! My family and I have been coming to Pasta Vino's for special events and birthday dinners for a long time now and it never disappoints. I most recently visited for my mother's birthday and I always love how accomodating they are of large groups (we had a few show up last minute as well and the staff was so helpful with pulling up extra tables and chairs). I've tried so many things on the menu, but our favorites have to be the Chicken Parm, Rigatoni alla Vodka (which I had this time with chicken added), Fettucine Alfredo, Penne Primavera Arrabiatta, and Penne Toscana. Everything here is so delicious and they have a pretty good wine selection/cocktail menu as well. Their tiramisu is also a can't miss!! We had a great family dinner at Pasta Vino. It's in a large strip mall that has a ton of free parking. The ambiance is old school Italian. You start out with unlimited garlic knots, which are tasty. We tried the Mediterranean salad and the Arugula salad, and both were enjoyed. I liked the toasted pine nuts in the Arugula salad. For entrees, we ordered various items including spinach ravioli, rigatoni vodka, eggplant rolentini, and the Chicken Toscana. I ate the Toscana, which was just okay. The parmesan garlic sauce was too thin and watery. The other entrees were all great though. The tiramisu and cannoli were good dessert options. They make their own cannoli cream on-site. We had excellent service from Sam also. We will plan to come back. read more

Delightful new restaurant located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. Elegant decor inside along with very pleasant staff. Menu has pasta and seafood dishes. We ordered the Maryland crabcake abd stuffed trout! Both delicious. Our drinks were perfect. Our wairess was Donna, so upbeat and helpful with the menu. Miko, one of the owners, chatted with us about his family restaurant history in Maryland and the seafood sourcing. Friendly guy! We ordered the pistachio cheesecake for dessert and it was delicious. We visited in October (a few months ago), as we are continually on a culinary adventure to find a pasta and meat sauce that Grammy (my mom) enjoys! :) Its very rare to find a restaurant that has the flavor and noodles that she loves, and Pasta Vino succeeded! We were in the area looking for an Italian restaurant and went to Yelp to find one. We had never heard of this place, and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did. Mom had the Rigatoni bolognese and it was wonderful! I had a side salad and a piece of cheese pizza which was also very good! Took the rest of the pizza home and my teenager (pizza lover!) approved as well! The staff was so friendly (from the hostess to the waitress). Honestly can't wait to try it again when we are in the area. Note: decor is kind of bland inside, but the food makes up for it. :) read more

Pasta Vino has been in Johns Creek for years and seems to have major popularity. It gets very busy on Friday nights with families and kids and it seems like a lot of regulars. The ambience is very loud and decor is plain but given the popularity, I had high hopes for the food. Unfortunately, the food didn't meet my expectations at all. The garlic knots were hard and dry and they only offered 2, which was fine since I wasn't even a fan. The chicken parmigiana with spaghetti tasted like a cafeteria school lunch. Everything pre-packaged including the bland, flavorless red sauce which it was drowning in. No cheese and the breading was sliding off the chicken. Presentation was just as bland as the flavors. On the plus side, our waitress was great but I would not recommend. You can honestly get better food at Provino's or even Olive Garden. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Pasta Vino yet! It's one of my favorite restaurants. We fell in love with it while ordering takeout during the Covid lockdown. I love veal and they have hands down one of the best veal dishes. Their Veal Sorrentino is my absolute favorite! It's thin veal medallions topped with eggplant, prosciutto, mozzarella cheese with a light brown gravy. I always get the Spinach Salad which has goat cheese (yum) and instead of pasta I get the wilted spinach. Just trying to keep things a little healthy. My son loves their gnocchi and lasagna. My husband constantly gets different meals and is always pleased with what he gets. Service is always good when we dine in, but food is just as good if you decide to carry out! read more

Quite honestly, it was just lettuce and grilled chicken. I'm sure they could google Greek salad and find a recipe, they should! We decided on this place in the heat of the moment & already wanted to go back the next day. It smells heavenly from the time you walk in! Our waitress told us both to get this pasta and I couldn't find the name of it when I ordered it, but show them this picture. Well, we were back again after a couple of months. This restaurant is very consistent. As in my first review , an excellent experience. Christian was our server, very professional and attentive. We started off with the bruschetta and my girlfriend calls it two times since we ordered a second since it was so light and tasty. Our main dishes were shrimp far Diavlo and eggplant Parmesan. The shrimp was succulent and tasty over pasta. The eggplant was light , fresh and not overwhelming. Of course we paired these dishes with some wine that was very reasonably priced as were the dishes we had. The chicken abado, a special, was good, but wasn't worth almost $20 because of the small portion. For 4 entrees, plus an appetizer, 2 glasses of wine, and a Coke, it was $100, which isn't too bad. I have been going to Pasta Vino for years. This is one of my go to Italian restaurants. And the only one with my favorite Italian dishes, Chicken Francese. It's so delicious here that most of my family orders it too when we go. Other delicious dishes we've had here: Gnocchi with vodka sauce, Eggplant Parm, and of course pizza. And don't forget to get some Garlic Knots to start off the meal. Today we ordered food to pickup and there was a small line of cars getting their food as well. We used to dine here all the time and pasta dishes were pretty good. It's been years since we've been back. We wanted to grab a bite to eat after we took our dog to the trail for a walk on Earth Day. We were pretty hungry and didn't want to leave our dog in the car and we decided to come to Pasta Vino's since they had a patio. When we approached the restaurant we noticed a big bus for maybe high school students finishing up their meals to head out to prom. We came in close to 9 pm (they close at 10 pm). I mentioned to the nice lady at the hostess stand that it we would like to sit outside on the patio because we had our dog with us. We were at our tables and received our menus from the hostess. She even took the time to be very friendly to our dog. There was one other party of 2 at one of the tables outside. We waited a little while for someone to come take our orders along with some water for us as well as a small bowl of water for my dog as most other places do that. Then a different lady comes out without even introducing herself that she was our server and asked if our dog was a service dog and that they don't allow dogs on the patio. It was very awkward and embarrassing. Felt a little humiliated that we had to just leave. I don't know if they wanted us to leave my dog in the car (which that was not an option for me) or they just didn't want our business since it was an hour to closing time. Regardless, it was an awkward and uncomfortable situation. It would've been nice to know that pets were not allowed before we got seated and received our menus. We just took our business to another Alpharetta restaurant that allows dogs in the outside table areas. read more

One of our favorite Italian restaurants. My first visit was with my team from work and they've been a choice spot since. Service has always been fast and friendly. The food is always fresh and tasty. I have yet to taste their pizza but the last time we visited I noticed several take-out pizza orders being picked up. A good sign that it's a good choice. The restaurant is cozy an perfect for an intimate date night. The only exception was one visit during prom season. Of course, the high school kids were excited and showed it. LOL They are situated in a strip mall, tucked away and almost hidden. But I promise you they are worth the visit and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. read more
