For months my son was asking to go to Persian Basket. Based of the reviews we knew it would be good. Walking inside, it is interesting with the high ceiling but quite chilly inside. The feel is very casual and roomy enough for large parties and family gatherings. I do recommend this place although our experience came with an issue. We went in for lunch. The Mirza & Pita was yummy. Chicken Barg plentiful and tasty. The seafood option is salmon or shrimp at lunch. My son had the salmon pasta and ended up getting food poisoning. I am sure that is a rare occurrence however it had deterred his desire to return. We love Rumis Kitchen and have always had the best salmon there with no issues after dining.

We had such a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our server, Izzy, was amazing ,she was so friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. She really made our experience even better. Thank you, Izzy, for the great service! We'll definitely be back.

Dip trio with baba ganoush, shallot yogurt and hummus and chicken barg

We tried this for the first time a few weeks ago and it was a nice restaurant with a cute atmosphere. The store next door has a lot of Persian goods for sale including several good looking sweets. It makes for a fun night to shop after or before dinner. We got the chicken barg which was good, but not as good as our favorite restaurant. The grilled vegetables were delicious and I enjoyed the Persian basket salad with homemade mustard dressing. I got the appetizer trio and really enjoyed the hummus, but wasn't a fan of the baba ganoush or the shallot yogurt. The yogurt didn't have much taste so I didn't eat it and the baba ganoush was overpowering with a smoky flavor. I would get the hummus again and try something different if I return. It is a cute place and worth checking out if you're in the area.

Came here for a birthday dinner and had a lovely time!! We were able to be seated right away without a reservation which was a pleasant surprise for a Friday evening. We had the trio tapas to begin along with some yummy drinks! I ordered the chicken kabob and we also got the chicken barg. They were very similar in taste and the portions were huge with plenty to take home. The owner came around to check on us at the end of our meal which was also very nice!

Cutting to the chase, the beef and lamb are the stars on the menu at Persian Basket. Every time I go out I always make sure to try something new and I ended up trying the Roasted Eggplant and Tabbouleh. I'm typically not a fan of the ingredients in these so it's not to my surprise that I didn't like it much. My girlfriend on the other hand thought other wise. Drinks i went with the dark and stormy with rum and honestly I wasn't feeling it. The lady went with a mango piña colada which I give a solid rating. When you walk in you're greeted and welcomed in immediately which always makes you feel welcome Afshin and Andres were both a great help throughout the night. The building is very nice on the inside with pretty good lighting but if you're planning to bring a party be wary that it probably fits less than 50 people.

Beautiful ambiance, modern and classy, with a great menu and excellent food selection! The service and management were outstanding.

We stopped in for lunch today of roasted eggplant and koobideh kabobs. The restaurant is absolutely lovely and our waitress was great. The music was a bit repetitive but easy enough to tune out. The chairs are wonderfully comfortable ! The bread was served warm. The kabobs were generous and perfectly cooked. I asked for rice with barberries. They came separately in a small dish. Overall we were very pleased with our meal. This is a bit out of the way for us but if ever out this way perhaps you should try it.

Amazing food! We ordered so much and every single item was delicious! I mainly came for the Beyond Koobideh, which was even better than I'd expected. The Herb Rice & Kashk Bademjoon were my other favorites! The restaurant itself is beautiful & service was amazing as well - we felt very welcomed. My mom was just visiting but said it would be her new favorite spot to eat at when in town! :)

We came to Persian Basket for Nowruz (Persian New Year) with my family. The food here is in my top 3 favorite Persian restaurants in Atlanta. They brought out a cheese/herb plate to start, which is pretty common for Persian Restaurants, and we had falafel and kashk e bademjon as well. I got the Sultani Kabob with Zereshk Polo (barberries rice) as my main. Everything was perfect ! Although on a Thursday, for Persian New Year it was not as crowded as I expected it to be. We got our drinks and appetizers pretty quickly, and everyone there is super nice !! I liked that they had halal and vegetarian (beyond meat kabob!!) options. About half of their meats (i believe majority, if not all, of the beef) is halal.

Nice! ++. Ambiance is dramatic yet understated DR. A high ceiling with interesting art lends an interesting vibe to PBK in an unassuming suburbia. ++. Food is Persian and one of the best around Atlanta. Their bread plate is interesting with a thin bread that's like thin focaccia, (feta?) cheese, fresh basil, nuts and cucumber slices. For main, we tried their kabob dishes and substituted saffron rice for cauliflower. My Spring Mtn Chicken kabob was tender and moist and cauliflower wasn't overcooked:). I really liked their barberries I got on the side. Everything was well balanced. My friend's tenderloin kabob was nicely seasoned but was a bit gamey. +. Price is $40 - $60 pp + bevies. +. Service was friendly and prompt. ++. Parking is a private lot shared with their market next door. Definitely worth a revisit!

There's no formal dress code, so some tables were fully dressed in fancy outfits celebrating birthdays. While other tables were in sweatshirts and jeans. So just wear whatever you want. The small appetizer plate they bring out is good, I ate the flat bread with a hummus I ordered. The hummus is solid but I'd probably try a different dip the next time. I ordered the Salmon kebab plate. I was asked how I wanted my salmon cooked, and I said well-done. But how they cooked it was amazing! The salmon was fully cooked but still flaky and tender, and juicy. I found it flavorful enough, but there is a salt and pepper grinder on the table if you need it. It comes with a roasted tomato and a huge mound of saffron rice. I liked the rice a lot but it is a bit plain. If you want a more flavorful or interesting rice, you can add a different rice for $4. Those extra charge ones come with a lot more toppings like different nuts, herbs, or dried fruits. I'd like to try more different dishes next time, but what I was very satisfied by what I ordered. The restaurant is very dimly lit. The server was very nice and attentive. It's in a strip mall area so parking isn't hard to find.

We visited around 3 PM on a Friday for a late lunch and were seated quickly. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see that they have plenty of options on the menu. We started with the yogurt dip with cucumber and the baba ghanoush, both of which were very tasty. For my main dish, I ordered the veggie kebabs, which come with saffron rice and grilled pineapple--my favorite part. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. They also offer lunch specials from 11 AM to 3 PM on certain weekdays, and we happened to arrive just in time to take advantage of that, which was a nice bonus. Parking was easy as well. I would definitely come back!

As a longtime San Francisco Bay Area foodie, I've been spoiled by incredible international food and…read morebold, complex flavors, so I'm always excited when I find a restaurant that delivers that same sense of discovery. Delbar absolutely does. The food here stands on its own--layered, interesting and incredibly delicious. I had been looking forward to dinner at Delbar Old Milton for two reasons: a long-overdue dinner with an old colleague and a serious craving for Middle Eastern food. After battling Atlanta-area traffic from Marietta--it took nearly an hour for what should have been about a 30-minute drive--I was ready to settle in, catch up and EAT. I'd previously been to Delbar in Inman Park with a group and loved it, so expectations were high. Old Milton did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Warm, sophisticated and beautifully designed, with a Persian rug welcoming you along the entrance and complimentary valet parking--a huge plus. The young valet team was impressively polished and efficient. I started with a Paper Plane, apparently my new financially irresponsible cocktail habit. Delicious, but these things are expensive! I blame the Italian liqueur. Two cocktails pushed north of $40, so perhaps I need a more economical signature drink. Then came the food. We started with the beet carpaccio: red beets, whipped feta, burnt honey, sour orange, pistachio and almond dukkha. Beautifully balanced--earthy, creamy, sweet, tart and nutty all at once. I let my dinner companion take over ordering from there, which proved to be an excellent decision. The Bandari Olovieh was the surprise of the evening: saffron-marinated smoked salmon with cream cheese, dill, chives, jalapeño purée, potatoes, Aleppo pepper, urfa, hot sauce, fried capers and cornichons, served with saffron potato chips. I'm not usually a salmon person, yet I loved this. The salmon was mild and delicate without the stronger flavor I sometimes associate with salmon or trout. And those saffron potato chips? Dangerous. I could happily eat a bowl of them. We also had the koobideh kabob, made with ground beef brisket and lamb shoulder with onion and saffron, served over taftoun with grilled pepper, tomato and sumac onions. Tender, juicy and packed with flavor. Wrapped in that bread, it was almost like the world's most delicious little Middle Eastern slider. By then, we were DONE. I had every intention of trying dessert, but there was simply no room. It was also getting late, and work was waiting for both of us the next morning. Next visit. Service throughout dinner was friendly and knowledgeable. This is a menu where good servers matter. Ours could explain the dishes and ingredients rather than simply take an order, and that added to the experience. Two small notes on the space. If Atlanta is doing its summertime furnace impression, I'd avoid tables near the doors leading to the patio. Every time they opened, a blast of hot air rolled through. Sit farther inside and enjoy the AC. And while I loved the Persian rug and overall design, the faux flowers and wisteria covering the entrance pergola weren't my favorite. Atlanta sun is brutal on anything artificial, and the rest of the restaurant is sophisticated enough that the entrance deserves something equally polished. Those are minor quibbles. The important part is this: Delbar is serving seriously delicious food in a beautiful setting with thoughtful service. If you're anywhere around Alpharetta or Roswell, make the detour. This place is not to be missed. Life is too short not to eat well. Get out there and find your next meal! Sorry, no photos;(

The beef was a little grainy in texture, but the flavor was really good- the flavor of the turmeric really stood out on the beef. The seasoned fries were nice and crispy and had just the right amount of potato fluff on the inside to stay hot and still be crunchy the entire time we were eating. Honestly, they might even have been better with a side of Tahini sauce and no seasoning sauce. Next time- I'll ask for that!
