Persian Basket was a delightful surprise during our lunch break from work. We stumbled upon it in Johns Creek, hidden behind the QT gas station. The restaurant was promptly seated, and we started with a Mazza. Our fantastic waitress, Alisa, recommended the Duck confit, which was exceptionally fresh that day. We couldn't resist and ordered it. The duck confit was incredibly delicious and crispy, perfectly complemented by the tangy pomegranate sauce. After savoring the appetizer, we moved on to our main course. We initially wanted to try the Lamb Shank, but Alisa's suggestion of the roasted eggplant and lamb stew was equally enticing. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The lamb was incredibly tender and succulent, while the eggplant was cooked to perfection. The stew was rich and flavorful, making it a satisfying meal. Even a day later, I'm still reminiscing about our delicious experience at Persian Basket. We're already planning our next visit! read more

For months my son was asking to go to Persian Basket. Based of the reviews we knew it would be good. Walking inside, it is interesting with the high ceiling but quite chilly inside. The feel is very casual and roomy enough for large parties and family gatherings. I do recommend this place although our experience came with an issue. We went in for lunch. The Mirza & Pita was yummy. Chicken Barg plentiful and tasty. The seafood option is salmon or shrimp at lunch. My son had the salmon pasta and ended up getting food poisoning. I am sure that is a rare occurrence however it had deterred his desire to return. We love Rumis Kitchen and have always had the best salmon there with no issues after dining. read more

Amazing food! We ordered so much and every single item was delicious! I mainly came for the Beyond Koobideh, which was even better than I'd expected. We tried this for the first time a few weeks ago and it was a nice restaurant with a cute atmosphere. The store next door has a lot of Persian goods for sale including several good looking sweets. It makes for a fun night to shop after or before dinner. We got the chicken barg which was good, but not as good as our favorite restaurant. The grilled vegetables were delicious and I enjoyed the Persian basket salad with homemade mustard dressing. I got the appetizer trio and really enjoyed the hummus, but wasn't a fan of the baba ganoush or the shallot yogurt. The yogurt didn't have much taste so I didn't eat it and the baba ganoush was overpowering with a smoky flavor. I would get the hummus again and try something different if I return. Came here for a birthday dinner and had a lovely time!! We were able to be seated right away without a reservation which was a pleasant surprise for a Friday evening. Cutting to the chase, the beef and lamb are the stars on the menu at Persian Basket. Every time I go out I always make sure to try something new and I ended up trying the Roasted Eggplant and Tabbouleh. I'm typically not a fan of the ingredients in these so it's not to my surprise that I didn't like it much. My girlfriend on the other hand thought other wise. Drinks i went with the dark and stormy with rum and honestly I wasn't feeling it. The lady went with a mango piña colada which I give a solid rating. When you walk in you're greeted and welcomed in immediately which always makes you feel welcome Afshin and Andres were both a great help throughout the night. The building is very nice on the inside with pretty good lighting but if you're planning to bring a party be wary that it probably fits less than 50 people. read more

We stopped in for lunch today of roasted eggplant and koobideh kabobs. The restaurant is absolutely lovely and our waitress was great. The music was a bit repetitive but easy enough to tune out. The chairs are wonderfully comfortable ! The bread was served warm. The kabobs were generous and perfectly cooked. I asked for rice with barberries. They came separately in a small dish. Overall we were very pleased with our meal. This is a bit out of the way for us but if ever out this way perhaps you should try it. read more

We came to Persian Basket for Nowruz (Persian New Year) with my family. The food here is in my top 3 favorite Persian restaurants in Atlanta. They brought out a cheese/herb plate to start, which is pretty common for Persian Restaurants, and we had falafel and kashk e bademjon as well. I got the Sultani Kabob with Zereshk Polo (barberries rice) as my main. Everything was perfect ! Although on a Thursday, for Persian New Year it was not as crowded as I expected it to be. We got our drinks and appetizers pretty quickly, and everyone there is super nice !! I liked that they had halal and vegetarian (beyond meat kabob!!) options. For main, we tried their kabob dishes and substituted saffron rice for cauliflower. My Spring Mtn Chicken kabob was tender and moist and cauliflower wasn't overcooked:). Place is a little hard to find, but worth the time. Restaurant is clean and has an inviting interior. Service was quick when we were seated and very friendly. The food was good. I went with the Barg Kabob, which was tender. Flavors were perfect with the taste of the meat itself really coming through in the dish. For appetizer, we also had the Trio Tapas, which was a great sampler of different things. All of the samples tasted great. The baba ganoosh had a nice smokey flavor that I really appreciated. Because THAT is how bland and flavorless it was. They should at least invest in a box of kosher salt. It seems the kitchen has none. I came in for a weekday lunch and had a terrific chicken kebab platter. It was definitely one of the more flavorful kebab plates I have had. It came with a huge portion of rice as well, and some tasty veggies and yogurt dip. It also came with a nice complimentary platter of walnuts, feta, and greens. Great find here in John's Creek for a nice evening out. I got mine to go but I was impressed enough with the decor and ambiance to add this to my list of "fancy" places. Dined here recently with a group and had high expectations. Inside there was adequate seating, nicely decorated and the servers were attentive and friendly. I have ordered items for myself, for my sister and her husband, and for a friend (rose water, pistachios, fresh pomegranate, cookies, Gata bread, and saffron). EVERYTHING is ALWAYS of the highest QUALITY and very well packaged for shipping. The fresh pomegranates I've ordered are always HUGE and very sweet. (The pomegranates I've purchased from my local grocery store, when available, do not compare.) This was my first time visiting the Persian Basket. What amazing food. I am a huge of Persian food and have eaten it all over the country and this place ranks up there as one of the best. I came in for lunch and ordered the Koobideh. The meat was flavorful and cooked perfectly. It came with rice on the side that was equally amazing. Their Tzatziki sauce was fantastic and I am a huge fan of Tzatziki. They do special events and wine dinners as well. I highly recommend this for anyone in the North Fulton area. Prices are reasonable, the portions are large and the Service is amazing. Ask for Fahid. He is the Manager and really takes care of his customers. I would give 10 stars if I could!! read more

Please specify cilantro on your menu when it is included in a dish! Your "herb" salad on the duck confit and "herbs" with basmati rice include cilantro. Cilantro destroys the flavor of a dish for people sensitive to aldehyde. It's embarrassing to have to send a dish back or not eat it. This venue is beautiful and the manager did what he could to remedy the issue, but the experience was not good. My boyfriend's salmon was also overcooked. read more

The restaurant is tucked away behind Waffle House. There was a pretty nice crowd when we arrived. We had reservations so it didn't take long to seat us. The setup was nicely done, with all tables & chairs, no booths with outside seating. Depending on the crowd it was quite loud. Not so loud that I couldn't hear the person I was dining with but this is not a quiet dining place. Apps We got the duck & eggplant appetizer. The duck was delicious. The eggplant we didn't care for as much. I like eggplant but it tasted prechewed if you can imagine that. Entrees We went with salmon pasta & grilled fish. Easy right? The Salmon was overcooked & fish ended up being fried although our Waiter told us it was grilled. Entrees were OK. Nothing to brag about or order again. Drinks I got a cocktail & forgot what my husband got but they came out in a decent amount of time & were good. Dessert Saffron ice cream was yummy. I shared it but you may not want to. Yum!! The Baclava cheesecake was pretty good. Took it to go & held up well 2 days later. Overall, the duck is worth going back for. The presentation of every dish is picture-ready. Had a great event here where we sampled the tomato/cucumber salad (loved it), smoked eggplant with Naan (very smokey, and with carmelized onions), falafel, kubideh/salmon/chicken pieces cooked to perfection and 2 types of rice. I loved the kubideh kabob the most, although in general it's my favorite.Awesome event, all of the food was delicious, and the restaurant was very accommodating.
