    Garlic Oil, Broccoli & Walnuts

A bit of a tough meal for the family here. Food between 4-5 stars, ambiance 4-5 stars. Wait time and service 2 stars. Let's start with the good! The bread and spicy tomato dipping sauce was an excellent complimentary starter. All the pastas we had were excellent as well. The table all argued for their own, but I am writing the review so the broccoli, walnut, garlic oil pasta was obviously best. The wait was not as good (5:15 entered name on wait list, told to come at 7 and table ready around 7, waited outside until 7:52 to be seated). The service was friendly but very slow as well. They talked up the bread (rightfully so), but then took 25 minutes to bring it, with the drinks taking almost as long. So all in all, if you have the time, definitely worth it. And know going in that it'll be slow. If not, may need to look elsewhere.

THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC! absolutely blew away my expectations! perfect place for girls night dinner, dimly lit and lively atmosphere. i ordered the chicken riggies with the meatball instead SO GOOD! i have never noticed a difference in pasta between restaurants but i noticed a huge difference here. beautiful pasta, one of the best i've ever had! perfectly chewy! i would highly recommend!! very busy so definitely get a reservation. Drinks were also great, beautiful presentation. I got the heated rivalry, so yum!!

Delicious casual dining space with customizable pasta options to devour. I do wish there some additional options to branch out from traditional Alfredo, chicken parm or red sauce fair but thorough enjoyed the wicked spicy pasta. Servers were attentive and were great with timely bringing out additional water, utensils and to go boxes when needed. Absolutely happy to discover this place on a recent visit to Syracuse!

I haven't been here in ages and finally started eating meat again, before I even got here I knew I had the chicken riggies. They did NOT disappoint. I was worried about the spice level, but after having spicy foods for months now, it was the perfect amount of spicy-ness!! My partner got the gnocchi with 50/50 sauce and it was perfectly cooked, super chewy and flavorful. We sat at the bar and the staff tended to us promptly, our waters were never empty and we always had some bread and hot tom oil in front of us!! Pastabilities is one of my favorites, not just because of the food, but because of the lighting and the all around vibey-ness. It's so pleasing to the eyes and the music is always great, just a little extra treat when going!

Service here is always so good, even though it's busy and popular. I love their spicy hot tomato oil, hot vodka, and 50/50 sauce pastas! Despite being a popular, busy restaurant, it never feels too hectic. The tables are perfectly spaced out, which makes it great for dinners.

On our next installment of takeout thursday: Pasatabilities! To preface i have been trying to get here for nearly 3 years with no luck. I really wanted to have them in house but I figured takeout for thursday would be the next option and they did not disappoint! The pasta has very non homogenous taste with original flavor and texture that is unparalleled by other local competitors. Complimented by the sauces and cheeses its easy to understand the hype. My only complaint is price. Its good but as someone who does cost analysis regularly for food, pasta even homemade does not cost alot so it hurts to pay alot. But you cant argue with the quality or results. We will be back for more!

I visited Pastabilities several times during my visit to Syracuse, and enjoyed every meal! This place is literally always packed, even early in the week, so make a reservation in advance. The menu is large, with customizable pasta entrees, as well as dishes created by the chef. Their homemade pasta is excellent, and don't pass up on their complimentary freshly baked bread. They have a full bar with some tasty local beers on tap, which I enjoyed. If you're craving delicious pasta, look no further!

Very popular place so reservations a must. They switched from Open Table to Toast. They take reservations 90 days in advance. I stopped by at 4:30 on a Friday and got the last seat at the bar. As you can tell from my pictures it's a dark place. Happy Hour is from 4-5:30 to lighten the mood. And I was quite happy. Frozen margaritas! As the name implies, you have to try one of their housemade pastas. I had the carbonara. It was wonderful. Comes with an order of their stretch bread and spicy hot tomato oil (so don't have to order separately). I hear they have an extra spicy tomato oil that I'll have to try next time.

I've always heard good things about Pastabilites and was very much looking forward to checking it out for myself. We had a reservation for 4:30 and were seated promptly. Our server was the best! She was so knowledgeable about the menu options and enhanced the experience. The room we were seated in had vibrant decor and big wide open windows, overlooking the outdoor seating area. A great vibe. We loved getting complementary stretch bread with the hot Tom oil. It is something Pastabilites is well known for and I can see why! It was so delicious and I loved the garlic chunks in the oil. I ordered the hot Tom vodka pasta with grilled chicken. It was amazing! The pasta is homemade and you are able to select the pasta for your meal. I also ordered the soup of the day: a creamy chicken and mushroom. It was so fresh. You could taste it through the ingredients. For dessert I really wanted to try the homemade gelato. I was so full and the sever informed us we could get a kids portion. I happily ordered the pistachio twist gelato. Once again, loved the offering. Everything was perfect. I long to visit again.

I am not gonna lie, I am literally a staple at Pastabilities. It is one of my absolute favorite spots every time I come back home to Syracuse. I always make it a point to stop here. Always. If you're planning to go, definitely get on the waitlist. I recommend calling a few hours before dinner whether you're going with friends, family, or on a date night because this place stays busy for a reason. The ambience is adorable. Sometimes it can get loud depending on the vibe and crowd, but honestly that's part of the charm. You can grab a booth, a table, or sit at the bar. The drinks are amazing and the servers are always great. I go so often that I actually know a few of them. Lilly is amazing and such a sweetheart. Every time I see her we just end up chatting. She's so good at what she does, she answers every question, makes you feel taken care of, and just makes the whole experience better. I am a HUGE fan of their Caesar salad. Love love love it. They always bring out bread with their spicy tomato oil and oh my gosh it is to die for. Their pasta is homemade and you can genuinely taste how fresh it is. I've read that the owner traveled through Italy and found a lot of her inspiration there for the dishes they serve, and honestly that just puts the cherry on top for me and makes the whole experience feel even more authentic. I love Pastabilities and I will be advocating for them forever. I'm so happy this restaurant is in downtown Syracuse. It brings the city to life and makes going downtown fun. Truly a great spot.

I haven't been to Pastabilities in years, but it is just as good as I remember it! Thankfully this popular shop started taking reservations. They have a short but sweet happy hour during the week. Although it is a pasta shop, the duck flatbread pizza is not to be missed! The low lighting, warm hues, and industrial brick makes for a cozy ambiance, and was a great place to cozy up with some good drinks and filling pasta on a rainy evening. I love that you can mix and match the sauces and will be back soon to try a new combination!

Pastabilities is such a classic and always a great go to whether you go for lunch or dinner i've never been disappointed! I recently went for lunch and it was great service, quick, and delicious! I do miss when it was cafeteria style for lunch where you walk down the line and made right for you but now they have a QR code on the table that you order through and food still comes out quick. They have a great variety of options for lunch and enjoy their speciality items for dinner as well, there's simply not a wrong answer when it comes to ordering here! The bread and hot tom oil is always a must when you're here as well.

Over hyped. I don't know why people are crazy for this place. Either they don't know the Italian cuisine well or are clueless.

This will be a repeat order, all the flavors balance each other so well(sweet, salty, and that mustard glaze yum). My friends enjoyed this as well. My friend's ordered the zucchini fritte and they enjoyed that. I ordered my favorite, tried and true The Calabrian (I love hot honey on anything lol). My friends ordered the Garlic & Broccolini (which would be my second choice). They both enjoyed their pizzas, my friend and I shared a sliced with each other. I like the garlic and broccolini as well, I enjoy a white sauce based pizza at times(I love broccoli on pizza, huge garlic person lol). They ordered dessert and coffee, and they both loved the pistachio crème brûlée. Overall it was a great evening with friends, delicious food and atmosphere. I checked OpenTable for 6:30PM on a Wednesday night and it said there was nothing within 3-1/2 hours. I found this very odd and since I was on my own, I ventured on down anyway to see if I could score a spot at the bar, which I easily did because they were only 1/4 full and the bar only had 3 other people at it when I arrived. I believe the bartender's name was Justin and he was great... very friendly and helpful, as well as engaging. He constantly checked on me and discussed the menu and restaurant, as well as their offerings. I chose their All 'Amatriciana with their slightly breaded chicken breast on top. The chicken was so very good! The All 'Amatriciana itself was so bland. I was disappointed in how bland it was. There was no spice at all to it, so I asked for their crushed red pepper and ended up putting several spoonfuls on it - turns out their crushed red peppers are either old or stale, but they're definitely bland and useless, as they didn't add any spike to the flavor of this dish and if the chef used these to season this dish while making it, that would explain some of what it was so bland. I will say that their table bread was outstanding! It came with their whipped butter, seasoned with honey and parmesan and that combo was so good! Too bad I didn't order something else, like pizza, as this is what I initially saw in reviews that looked amazing. I'm sure they normally are great here, I just came on an off night.
