After a long day of running around, my wife and I were in need of some good food. We like downtown Pleasanton as we have always had good experiences at restaurants on Main Street. Pastas Trattoria was no different! We strolled in around 5ish and were seated immedietly. Loved having the option to sit outside. Water and bread were brought to our table to get started. Our waiter took our order promptly and the food came out shortly after. I ordered the Beats salad and a margherita pizza to share. The food is very delicious, fresh and flavorful! The serving sizes are fair and the pricing is reasonable. Overall very satisfied and looking forward to be back.

We came to celebrate a birthday and had a large group. The staff beautifully tended to our needs and served all the food hot and fairly close together. The cocktails were delicious and the wine pour generous. The food was tasty.

Excellent service--kind and attentive. The food was delicious. Just a heads-up: the "Italian Chopped Salad" is a chopped salad topped with grilled salmon--the salmon itself isn't chopped, which I liked.

Came for lunch on a weekday and it was not busy. The pasta was decent but it did take some time for it to come out. I wish that the pasta was a little more soft. Nonetheless the service here was amazing!

My friend and I were attracted to the aesthetic of this restaurant so we decided to give it a try, needless to say we were impressed. The food is quite delicious, the presentation is attractive, and the waitstaff are all very kind and quick. I will be bringing my bf with me the next time we go out (: * i took the tiramisu home with me so it was in the box, it was great *

Girl's Night Out, but make it classy. Dropped in with a friend at 6pm on a Sunday and were immediately seated. The white tablecloth settings and wait staffs apparel lend to a more formal ambience. Since we wanted an excuse to get dressed up and go out, Pastas trattoria definitely met our criteria. The wait staff were available for questions and suggestions, and we each ordered a main course of pasta - the Bolognese and seasonal pumpkin ravioli - with their suggested wine pairings. You should always order pasta when it's in the establishment's name! I appreciate their selection of local and domestic wines, although they also have an extensive imported wine list if your budget is generous. We were both very satisfied with our meals, and the portions were large enough that we had leftovers to bring home. Always a great spot if you're seeking a classy dining experience downtown.

I went back to Pastas Trattoria, and it's still just as good as the first time. Consistently great food!

My husband wasn't feeling great so I took the kiddos on an evening date night with mama! We walked around downtown and then came here. It looked fancy, and I def stood out as a person of color amongst the other restaurant patrons. Regardless of this, and not having reservations the lovely hosts seated us, with what seemed to be a disgruntled waiter. He asked if I wanted anything other than water, by the time I was done saying no water is okay he had left...I was getting ready to order. About 5 min later he comes back, and shares they are busy and I should order...I was like umm okay. I ordered butter pasta for my daughter and my son wanted chicken fingers. I got the eggplant Parmesan for myself (and to take to my husband). Over the eggplant was good, the fries and kids pasta were flavorless. I had to flag someone down for salt. Our waiter didn't checking on us once. But he did come and bring us boxes as I was eating which was quite uncomfortable. I ended up packing up the food because it seemed like he was in a rush to get us out. He also forgot to return my CC to me so I had to flag him down and he had to go search for my card. The kids meal comes with a drink and dessert. I had to specifically ask for the drink and the dessert is not friendly for those who have allergies and he said he had nothing else. I wasn't even offered a dessert menu come to think of it. I'm unsure if I would be back. I liked my dish, but the service was off putting. As a mom of two kids, who were extremely well behaved I'm just unsure why we were treated the way we were. Everyone else seems to have a good experience...

All of the food we had was amazing! The service was just as fantastic we had the butternut squash ravioli, the fall harvest salad, the burrata appetizer.

We did a full inside restaurant buyout and had the option to select several appetizers, two salads and four entrees from the menu. Love how open the restaurant is with windows and natural lighting. The food was alright and pretty expensive. We individually ordered, but shared like family style including appetizers. We tried the Saganaki $17.00+ Skillet-fried flaming kefalothiri cheese, brandy, lemon? It was okay. To me, it just tasted like cheese topping from a slice of pizza. It was cool to see it being lit on fire though. I did like the fried calamari, that was delicious especially with the sauce. I ordered the mushroom and spinach omelette $19. It came with potatoes and fruit like watermelon. It was decent, I mean it's an omelette so what can I say, lol. The serving size was perfect to share. Our server was good. The woman who helped us clean our plates and refilled our water was very attentive as well. The bathrooms were clean, two stalls. Parking is available in the back or on the street.

The experience begins in a small glass-enclosed entryway where you're greeted before the hostess is notified by radio. Moments later, the glass door opens, revealing a beautifully designed speakeasy with an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The space offers comfortably spaced bar seating, cozy booths, and tables, all surrounded by tasteful décor that perfectly captures the speakeasy era while incorporating subtle honeycomb-inspired touches. The spirit selection is impressive, and the appetizer menu is thoughtfully curated. Their specialty cocktails are creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar, where our mixologist, Kalika B, was both personable and professional. I always enjoy sitting at the bar when the bartender is willing to share their craft, and Kalika did exactly that. She explained the story behind several of their custom cocktails, the history of some of their spirits, their signature custom ice program, and offered excellent appetizer recommendations. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire space was spotless and clearly designed with great attention to detail. It filled up quickly after opening, so I was glad we arrived when we did. Despite the growing crowd, there appeared to be plenty of staff, and the service remained attentive without ever making guests feel rushed. There is only one restroom, but during our visit it was never an issue, and there was no wait. I've been chasing speakeasies for more than 20 years, long before they became as popular as they are today. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to seek out a local speakeasy, so I've experienced quite a few over the years. Honeycomb ranks near the top of my list. It's the perfect size--not too small and not too large--with an outstanding selection of spirits, exceptional craft mocktails, knowledgeable mixologists who truly know their craft, and cocktails tailored to your palate. The atmosphere is elegant yet approachable, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the experience. The Honeycomb Speakeasy in Livermore is truly a destination-worthy cocktail experience. The service was fantastic, and every drink we ordered was thoughtfully crafted. Pro tip: Follow their Instagram before you go! They post their updated schedule and the weekly secret password there since it changes regularly based on bookings. Here's what we tried: Cusco Comb (1000/10): Absolutely one of the best cocktails I've ever had. It was sweet, strong, and incredibly smooth without the alcohol being overpowering. I loved it so much that I immediately ordered a second one. I would honestly come back just for this drink alone. Honeycomb After Dark (9/10): Such a fun twist on an espresso martini! It reminded me of a Vietnamese coffee with a boozy kick. As the ice cream melted, the drink became even creamier and more delicious. Gin & Tonic (6/10): I'm not personally a gin and tonic fan, but my sister really enjoyed it. She thought the ratio of gin to tonic was spot on. Fries (6/10): Super crispy with a great texture, but they were a little too salty for my taste. The only downside is that there's only one bathroom, so keep that in mind if it's busy. If you're looking for a great spot to grab drinks in downtown, I highly recommend this speakeasy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the cocktails are outstanding, and the service is consistently excellent. I'd probably skip the food next time and eat somewhere else beforehand, then come here to enjoy the amazing drinks.
