For a Saturday afternoon it wasn't too busy, you can tell their locals were there enjoy the large tv screens. We sat at the bar and were immediately helped by the bartender. We ordered spicy margaritas and that came with complementary chips and salsa. The spicy margaritas were refreshing and had just the right amount of spice. Food at Tequila Bar and Grill was mediocre overall. They seemed busy and I think our waitress may have been new so I will give her grace. I ordered the fajita combo nachos which were just okay and my daughter had the quesabirria tacos which were not great but were edible. The most unusual part was the horchata. It tasted like cherry Coke or had some kind of cherry flavoring which was very odd. My daughter tried it first and could not drink it and even I struggled with it after paying for it. I also asked the staff what they put in it since I have seen places add flavors like strawberry, but they said it was normal horchata ingredients, which made the taste even more confusing. This was our first dine in visit although we have done drive thru before and overall I do not think I will be back. The food is pricey for the quality. Service was understandable given how busy they were. Silverware and drinks took a while but I understand how hectic it can be so I will leave it at that. read more

Tequila Bar & Grill opened about a year ago so it is relatively new. This is an upscale Mexican restaurant. Chips are nicely crunchy and have enough thickness to easily add guacamole or their salsas. They can addicting. The Ahi Tacos appetizer is fantastic. As an appetizer, each tostada (two per order) is good for a few bites. We should have purchased two orders. We had the enchiladas, sorry no picture. Menu has several protein options and several sauces. Service was friendly and helpful. They have about seven large flatscreen video surfaces. This should be a great atmosphere of events like Super Bowl where you can see screens throughout the restaurant. Not surprising they can have nice size parties. We will be back. read more

We went into this bar for some drinks before our movie started and nobody came to talk or acknowledge us standing for like five minutes. No eye contact, no recommendations on the menu, never once came back to check on our table. I attempted to engage but she treated us as if it were something personal. The kitchen overcooked my nieces steak in her tacos,we told her to which she replied that we should have said something earlier, even though there was an entire untouched taco sitting there. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. There was no wait and we were seated right away. The decor is pretty. And I like the layout of the restaurant. Staff was friendly. And the menu had a good amount of choices. At the suggestion of our waitress I got a spicy pineapple margarita. It was VERY tasty. Not strong at all - but flavorful. For appetizer, we got shrimp ceviche. Btw .. they have so many ceviche choices!! Me and my companion both ordered the seafood enchiladas. They were tasty. My only beef was they put the rice on one side of the enchiladas and beans on the other side. Like what?! There's enough division in this society. But now even rice is separated from beans?! Ok ok... I'll relax. Both the beans and rice were tasty. Overall, it was a nice lunch. Well this sucks to have to write this. Came in on a Thursday at 330pm. There were four total customers, FOUR. When I walked in the whole restaurant smelled like a bathroom. So I asked to sit outside. They showed me the outside area and I requested that a table be moved to accommodate for my young children and be at least partially in the shade. The woman who led me outside, said she doesn't have staff to help me move the table. So I said can I move the table she said sure but you can't move it here and pointed to the shaded part of the patio that didn't have tables. They had high top tables in the shade but can you imagine the liability if my child were to fall and that's all you could offer me? I said well let me ask my husband and as I was about to she said if this doesn't work you can go somewhere else. So of course we left. There are so many issues with this interaction. 1. A newer business 2. The lack of care about the situation. 3. The sheer unwillingness to help. I'm fully capable of moving tables but not when you are unwilling to even help problem solve. 4. Isn't the restaurant business considered within the hospitality industry? I guess not here 5. Utterly disappointed by the woman who thought it would be okay to tell customers to leave and go elsewhere. 6. I did go back and asked to speak to a manager and shared how unprofessional it was and hope someone can communicate with her about that. And how disappointed I am in the service and sheer lack of care. Shame on you tequila bar and grill. It is a damn shame that this was my experience. Hopefully it is not yours. Bigger than it looks from the outside. It was fairly busy on a Friday afternoon at the bar and assorted tables. We were greeted and seated right away and informed that it was happy hour. We ordered prosecco and a mojito, guacamole, calamari, two orders of taquitos. The mint in the mojito was mostly used as a garnish so we crushed it into the drink at the table for better flavor. The calamari was great. The guacamole was fresh but just ok and a pretty small serving. Had we known the taquitos also came with guacamole we wouldn't have ordered it. The taquitos were giant sized and full of chicken with an abnormal ratio of chicken to crispy shell in each bite. We couldn't finish them, it was just too much chicken. read more

We found out about this place through Ocean Oyster Bar & Grill in Union City, which we like. Turns out it's under the same ownership, so we decided to give this place a try. Nice spot! Spacious, clean, and located in the center of the Dublin Regal Hacienda plaza. We started with a dozen raw oysters, and an order of cooked ones, 1 of each of the 4 flavors - Parmesan, Mango Habanero, Diabla, and Sriracha Bourbon. All but the Parmesan are spicy, so if you like spice, you will enjoy these. Still hungry, we also ordered a couple of shrimp tacos, and the shrimp ceviche. Then went with a second order of the cooked oysters. Do you see a pattern here? They have an extensive menu, something for every taste, and I appreciate that they have meat-free options as well. Service was very good and the friendly staff checked in on us regularly. The movie theater is in the same plaza, so this is a nice place to hang out before or after a movie. So I had never been here but hubby and I were going to a movie and decided to watch here. Even though it was a Friday night and they were a little crowded, the wait for a table was only about 15 minutes. Very good turnover time for a small restaurant. It is a little loud but you can still hear conversations of your table. I was watching the bartenders make the drinks but they also have sports on 3 or 4 TVs if that is your thing. They start you off with some chips, salsa and water. I had 3 shredded chicken traditional "street" tacos. Hubby had a burrito with al pastor. Both were delicious. We rarely drink alcohol but there was a vast menu of drinks to choose from. Wait time wasn't bad for a Friday night, place was pretty busy so expected to wait a good long time. Wait was less than 15 minutes which turned out great for us. Service was initially a little slow but once our waiter made it to us, food and drinks came pretty quick. My wife really enjoyed the tacos. The chicken was really good. The Pastor burrito was fantastic. The pork had a light crust that made it so much better than expected. The green sauce had a good amount of lime juice in it that added a little unexpected sweetness. I don't know that i would come for a dinner sitting at a table based on the funky layout but I did like sitting at the pub tables closer to the bar. All the happy hour apps we had were pretty good. Adrian was by far the best! Polite, attentive, and he knows his stuff! the drinks aren't overwhelming, and yes, you can actually taste the alcohol lol. I went for my birthday on Friday night with my bestie, and he made us feel so welcomed. We came back Saturday with a party of ten, and once again our drinks were excellent! The food here is so authentic. I always get the shrimp tacos -- that sauce is SO good. Everyone else loved the enchiladas, tamales, steaks, and the chorizo & eggs. Everything was yummy! The happy hour menu has great prices, and the drinks are delicious. I always get the guava margarita with Tajín rim yum! The music is perfect -- all Latin, loud enough to enjoy but not too loud. We heard good things about the drinks and they were just ok to me. The food is good we only got the fajitas to share. It was a pretty good portion and we both felt like we got enough food. The chips and salsa are good. The salsa is not spicy at all but they have a super spicy salsa they brought out when we asked for something hotter. Great flavor. I got a guava margarita it was strong but the guava flavor was just not there. The drinks were a bit on the pricier side. Lots of seating areas and it wasn't super busy when we went and were sat right away. The pros: chips were good. Food tasted good. Drinks were also solid- sometimes it's hard to find a good margarita that is fresh. The cons: portions are insanely small for the price. Cheese enchiladas with a small pile of rice and beans should in no way cost $20. Everything was over priced. Menu was way too big with strange things for a Mexican restaurant- spicy edamame? Ambiance was interesting. I'm not sure what type of restaurant it's trying to be. I was extremely excited for this restaurant and had high hopes. It seemed like it could compare to Javier's or santo mezcal in SoCal but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. The prices are the same but quality is lower. I'm not sure I'd come back. If I do it's just for drinks. Not sure if they have a happy hour. It's also not overly kid friendly. Not sure why but we started going to Ocean Oyster Bar and Grill in Union City. From there we learned about their other places called Tequila Bar and Grill in Dublin and San Leandro. We headed to see a movie in Dublin and stopped in here first for bites and drinks. Not the exact same menu as Ocean but similar. We were greeted at the door and moved onto the bar. When we came in there were few people here but by the time we left it was packed. This is near the Hacienda Movie Theater so I think just like us, people drop in here prior to a movie or after. A pretty large place. We downed a dozen fresh oysters as well as 4 cooked ones, ceviche and shrimp tacos. All great. Lots and lots of tequila to choose from along with other libations. Solid beer selection and even a few wines I wish they had a nice Porter, but no. So I worked through the tequila collection and my partner had a margarita and the tequila thyme. See what they did there. All the staff was pleasant and service was excellent. We will be back even if we aren't going to a movie. read more

For my daughter, I ordered two steak tacos, but unfortunately the steak was overcooked. I informed our waiter, Jaqueline, and she said they would do better next time if I had mentioned it sooner. However, she was not very attentive and barely came around to check on us or ask how everything was tasting. I don't recall her checking in at all. I'm here to check-it-out, Tequila Grill in Dublin. When I got here it was packed. There's a lot of big Television screens up, perfect to catch a Sports game. And I'm having me a Grilled Salmon with rice and vegetable medley, for Dinner Tonight. It looks spectacular. The Salmon was seasoned very well, Grilled to perfection, moist, the Crust on it was incredible, and I knew it was a good peice of Salmon from the Grilled marks. I didn't know what they did to the rice, but the rice was the star of the Dish, believe it or not, it was out of this world, and done very differently than all the others I had out there so far. The Roasted Squash, was phenomenal. The only thing was, it was kinda slow getting everything, but understandable for a Night like Tonight's. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.9-4.4 stars, I want to give this a 4.4 stars, on a good day it could be a 4.4 stars, but I give this 4.3/4.4 stars out of 5 stars. And the modern interpretation of the Latin American cuisine, felt authentic. read more

Ever since Rubios shut down a bunch of their stores I've been looking for a place that does a good fried fish taco. I look on yelp and boom Tequila Bar & Grill. You already know I had to try this place out. Place was busy on a Saturday evening, however there was a table for 2 open when we got there. We got seated, and after a look at the menu, the girlfriend and I decided to get the Baja fish taco, a shrimp taco, and the combination fajita plate. My girlfriend really liked the horchata, and she especially liked the fish taco and shrimp taco. Me however. This might be one of the best fish tacos around, and the shrimp taco is the best around. Came here on a whim after running some errands, always been interested in trying since they have 2 locations: one in Dublin and SL. Tequila Bar & Grill is conveniently located next to the movies in Hacienda Crossings, they have a full bar. The drinks are amazing and I loved my passion fruit margarita as my friend loved her strawberry margarita. They pour heavy btw lol! I loved the fish taco it had great crisp. It's pretty spaced out in there, as they have a bar for seating and a wide range of tables, including outdoors. The service was top notch as our servers constantly checked on us for support. Tried out tequilas last weekend before catching a movie. It's definitely not bad but also not the best Mexican food you can. Its definitely trying to be on the upscale side but it didn't hit that mark for me. The burrito was good but very different. The regular burrito comes with a protein, rice, beans and sour cream. When I say it was different it was almost like all the ingredients were put in a bowl first and mixed then wrapped in a tortilla instead of the traditional layering of ingredients. I didn't dislike it but it was different. Chicken was tasty and the chips and salsa were good too. Everything came out timely as we had ample time to get stuff before our movie. Can't wait to come again. We came close to closing, but the staff was still friendly and provided great service. I had two margaritas, the blood orange and passionfruit. The blood orange tasted more like grapefruit, so I wasn't a big fan. The oysters were fresh. We loved the Ahi Tostadas and are coming back for these above everything else. The description on the menu was lacking, but the tostada was not. Hubby ordered the steak fajitas, the rice and beans were very tasty. I had the Mariscadas, I could drink the sauce.
