I tried Nona's Kitchen in Lodi and the food and atmosphere were the best part of the whole experience. The restaurant feels cozy, welcoming, and clean, with comfortable seating and a warm, homey vibe. The big windows and lights make it feel open and relaxing. The food was excellent. The pesto pasta, Alfredo, and lasagna were all flavorful and fresh. The salad was generous and well made, and the calamari was crispy without being greasy. You can tell the kitchen cares about what they're making. The only thing that could be better is the service. Our waitress was very quiet, didn't check in much, and never offered dessert or asked how things were. Nothing rude, just very minimal. With food this good, a little more warmth and engagement from the staff would make the experience perfect. Overall, I would definitely come back. Great food, great atmosphere, and just a little room for improvement on the service side.

    Bruschetta

The food here was FANTASTIC. The bread of the bruschetta was the perfect texture--the bottom was crunchy enough to hold everything up, but the top was nice and soft with a little toasting. I had the pasta alla carbonara and the pancetta was perfectly crisped but still had a chewy bite to it! So heavenly. And the pasta and sauce were so rich. We were very pleasantly surprised. Our only small complaint was the service. Our server seemed pretty slow to do everything, only working on one table at a time. She may have been new, we weren't sure. The environment was pretty nice and we had a lovely time. We would definitely go back!

Right at entrance to this location we were hit with a foul smell in resemble to a bad sewer line. Lasted about a good ten minutes. Pushed through that and was able to be seated and placed out drink and food orders. We were the only guests in the restaurant during our while visit. Our meal was decent as we chose to share a Wagyu burger and some fries. Service was fair and nice for this visit. This is an establishment I'm sure does well. I would just really be concerned around the smell the enters as it is unwelcoming and could deter customers.

    Fettuccini Alfredo

Italian is one of my favorite types of food to eat so I can be really judgy when trying a new Italian place but Nona's has become one of my go to places when craving Italian! I had their fettuccini and it was AMAZING! Super creamy, pasta cooked perfectly, lots of flavor, and the portion size was HUGE(I love being able to have leftovers the next day). If you're looking for authentic Italian food, I highly recommend Nona's!

Excellent food, excellent service, and happy customers who talked with us about how great the food was! Overall great experience in my opinion The bruschetta was very good and fresh, my eggplant parm was delicious, and the shrimp scampi was 11/10!

Excellent food and service. Best minestrone I've ever had. Deep and rich flavor. I'm certain this gem is hopping during Lodi wine season.

So glad I finally checked out Nona's! The atmosphere was kind of bland, but both myself & my husband thoroughly enjoyed our food. My husband ordered the chicken Florentine, which was served with grilled veggies & potatoes. It was delicious & such a huge portion! I had the pasta trio & it was also a massive portion & really good! Our server was so sweet & offered us a complimentary Italian soda & it was delicious (definitely worth trying, trust me)! Give this place a chance & you won't regret it!

Been wanting to go here for about a year. Reading the reviews was very hard to say what to expect. Restaurant super clean and service great. Not crowded at all was disappointing. We had the trio pasta dish with lasagna, pesto and fettuccine Alfredo. Fettuccine was good and also lasagna. Pesto meh.We also had calamari appetizer which was good but not over the top. Others with us had lasagna and egg plant parm. We also had warm bread really good and brshetta. No alcohol especially wine is a turn off to any Italian restaurant. That is like pizza and no beer. Overall pleased with dinner but we will not be back for dinner until we can enjoy the meal with wine.

I kept driving past this restaurant so I decided to try it out. The place is casual, modestly decorated. The hostess told us that they've been open for about 3 months. We ordered the calamari appetizer. Comes with tartar and cocktail sauce. Our orders came within a reasonable time. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had the lasagna which my daughter liked. My wife had the chicken florentine which unfortunately tasted bland. I enjoyed the chicken picatta; I wish the chicken had been grilled instead of pan seared but it tasted good. It also came with really good fried whole potatoes. Overall the food was good but couldn't ignore heavy cooking fumes coming from the kitchen. Perhaps their smoke hood wasn't working ? I would give this restaurant 3.5 starts and perhaps another look in the near future.

I was treated to Lunch with my Neighbor. We both had Clam Chowder and Calamari. I enjoyed my visit and I plan come back with My Husband and try the Pasta dishes. This is a very nice place. I would love to see some of my ART on their walls.

We tried Nona's for the first time this evening and the food was good. The restaurant is still new and it seems that they are still getting settled. The vibe was a little sterile but I'm sure it will warm up as time goes on. As of now, they don't have a beer and wine license yet. The service was great, very attentive and the food was good. My husband had the lasagna, which good and very filling. I had the carbonara which was very rich and definitely on the salty side, I could only finish about half of it. There are quite a few other menu items that we'd like to try so we'll definitely be back! Would I recommend Nona's to friends and family... Yes!!

The ambiance isn't anything beyond a basic deli without any of the frills or specialty touches. It's just plain and a bit worn. Primarily known for Italian food this is where it apparently shines. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Navigating the menu was a little awkward as everything seems customized, which is fine but takes a bit to figure it out. We ordered a meatball sandwich to share along with a bag of chips and two drinks. We had ordered a #6 which we were charged for, but didn't really get the supposed complimentary sides. No big deal. The meatball sandwich really didn't figure into that equation anyway. The sandwich made from scratch and warmed nicely with oozing mozzarella cheese was simply delicious. What impressed me most was it was not made with a red tomato sauce but rather a brown sauce. That's something one sees a lot in the Italian influenced communities in and around New Orleans. What's nice is the brown sauce doesn't overwhelm the tastiness of the meatballs which were plump and quite delicious. Have a lot of napkins as it gets messy. Overall it was a good experience. You really have to know what you want and what to get before blindly walking in here. It does appear to be a chain with several locations in the surrounding area.

The place gets busy fast, which is always a good sign, and the food absolutely lives up to the hype. Everything tastes fresh, hot, and made with care. The appetizers are consistently a standout, and the potato skins are a must. Get them Sicilian style. They're savory, satisfying, and the kind of starter everyone at the table keeps reaching for. Honestly, they set the tone for the whole meal. A quick tip: get there early, ideally right when they open. The parking lot is small and fills up quickly, but there is extra parking along the side of the building and behind it, which helps. Still, this is definitely the kind of place where arriving early makes the whole experience easier. And save room for dessert. Seriously. You have to get dessert. This is not the place to skip it. Yes, you may have to wait a bit, but that's part of the deal with well-loved local restaurants like this. The good news is your patience pays off. Guantonio's is warm, welcoming, delicious, and absolutely worth the wait. Here's a slightly punchier version too, in case you want it to sound even more like a real Yelp post: Guantonio's is such a gem in Lodi and definitely one of those local favorite spots that people keep coming back to for a reason. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and worth every bit of the wait. The appetizers are so good, but the potato skins are the real star. Order them Sicilian style. So good. Crispy, hearty, and packed with flavor. One of those appetizers you start thinking about before you even come back. Pro tip: come early, right when they open, because this place fills up fast. The main parking lot is pretty small, but there's more parking on the side of the building and behind it. Once you know that, it's a lot easier. Also, do yourself a favor and get dessert. Don't even debate it. This place gets busy, the wait can build, but your patience will absolutely pay off. Guantonio's is 100% worth it.

The space has a clean, modern neighborhood feel with a bit of personality. Inside, it's bright and minimalist with warm wood tables, shelves of wine bottles, and a small retail touch (cards, merch) that gives it a local/artisan vibe. There's also a covered outdoor seating area with string lights that looked like a good option for warmer evenings. It's casual but thoughtfully put together, somewhere between a wine bar and a pizza spot. Service stood out as a strong point. It's first-come, first-served (no reservations), but we were seated right away. Staff were prompt and efficient throughout the meal, checking in regularly without hovering, and pacing everything well. We had time to finish our salad before the pizza came out, and they gave us a natural break before dessert. No long waits, no rushing... just well-managed service. We started with the capri salad. I thought it was fresh and well-balanced, but my partner wasn't particularly impressed, and so I'd call that one mixed reviews depending on your expectations. For the main event, we ordered the pepperoni pizza "Nick's way" (with ricotta and hot honey). This was the highlight of the meal. The crust was well executed, nicely cooked with a good chew, not too thick and not overly thin. The pepperoni and hot honey combination worked really well, giving it that sweet-and-savory balance that keeps you going back for another slice. The cheese was excellent, with the ricotta adding a nice contrast. If I had one critique, it's that the sauce was a bit light. I would've preferred a slightly heavier hand there to round things out, but it didn't take away from the overall quality. We each had a glass of wine, my partner had a Pinot, and I had a red blend (not labeled as a house wine, and I couldn't find the exact winery afterward). The by-the-glass selection is limited, but they do have a fairly extensive bottle selection if you want more options. For dessert, we both went with sundaes and honestly, these are worth coming back for on their own. Simple, well done, and genuinely satisfying. If you're nearby, it wouldn't be a stretch to stop in just for dessert. Overall, a strong neighborhood spot with excellent pizza, well-paced service, and standout desserts. A few minor limitations (light sauce, limited wine-by-the-glass options), but definitely worth a visit.

My friend has never had the deviled eggs before and pleasantly surprised and delighted that the eggs were absolutely delicious. They're very smooth, eggs were cooked perfectly and the touch of bacon was just right. It does come with a small helping of mixed greens topped with pickled onions. The pork schnitzel was crispy & crunchy due to the breaded pork loin, came with pickled onions, slaw and the chipotle aioli sauce. The sauce does have a bit of a kick to it but it wasn't too spicy, well, at least for me. My salad was very good too. It was colorful and had an interestingly tangy dressing on it. It paired well with the sandwich. One was spicy and the salad was tangy but refreshing. My friend also ordered the pork schnitzel with beef tallow fries. I tried some of her fries and they were thin but still crispy. Overall the food at West Oak Nosh was so good and delicious! We sat inside, where the space features exposed brick, artwork throughout, and very comfortable seating... my partner specifically pointed that out. Service was excellent. Our server, Lacy, was friendly, attentive, and witty - easily one of the best servers we've had in a while. For drinks, I had a local Oak Farm red wine that was excellent. Others in our group had mimosas, which were well received... especially the grapefruit mimosa, which my partner really enjoyed. For food, there were several highlights. My partner had the chicken and waffles and loved it; I tried some and would agree it was very good. Another person in our group ordered the steak breakfast tacos, which came as a set of three. They only ate two, and I had the third and it was delicious and something I would recommend. Another in our group had the eggs Benedict and thought it was excellent.
