Staff is super friendly and helpful...on the day I was there, it was fairly crowded (which is generally a good sign, in my opinion) and I had to wait an extra few minutes because the staff was working on orders - not a problem for me. But, they acknowledged me and apologized for the delay, which I told them was no worries at all. Kind and appreciated gesture. Nice decor and comfortable space where I would definitely sit and eat - but so happened to take my order to go. It was well packed and organized. Definitely would go back and highly recommend! Stoked they're close by/local!

So don't forget to tip!!! So if you're headed to Hawaii to get station over there, I definitely recommend this place to give you a taste of what it is to be on the island. Get a sense of the Kama'aina' legacy. We got the spicy garlic and the Ahi tuna both did not upset. The sticky rice made great and greens are fresh. No fishy taste. Fish felt like it came straight out of the ocean. Reminds me of my good old days when I used to live by the Punchbowl, or would like to drive by the outskirts of Oahu to the country and just cruse the island and set camp to see the sunset. Come support local as I see the shop is here to stay for eva! Shootz! Kolohe Boy

I live in downtown Oceanside, where many restaurants exist. In the eight years that I've lived here…read more, I've eaten at many of them at least once. I always wondered about Rosewood, but haven't tried it because it is Japanese which I know nothing about. Yesterday I had to try it. Maren, my server, reviewed the menu and suggested Shio Tonkotsu, a popular Ramen dish. I chose chicken over pork and was overjoyed by my choice. The chicken was so delicious as was the Ramen and the broth. Rosewood is a new adventure for me and I have to try their other dishes. I'll let you know what I think because Rosewood is going to get another visit. I forgot to mention their outside patio is a fun place to enjoy a meal.

We settled on Oceanside in hopes of finding good food, as our weekend (end of Feb) had been full of a poor results. This place came up as very well rated on Yelp, as my friend and I searched for places to eat. It was a Saturday night with great weather. The red flag I should have read into was that the lone guy working that night was a one man show. He was doing it all in the front of the house. I tried to get us a table to sit outdoors but he just couldn't get to the table to clean it. After about 20 minutes he finally came and just moved all the bowls to the empty table next to it and wiped it down. When my friends finally arrived we all sat down to sticky menus that had NO descriptions. What you see on the website is exactly what they have on the menu. We had to wait to ask the server/host what each menu item meant. It took a while to get our food from when we ordered. Thank goodness for good company, I didn't clock it. The food options were limited and keep in mind for those who have children, most of the options come with a spicy kick, you'll have to explicitly tell them "no spicy"! There was a party who had been sitting for a while before we got there and a kiddo took a bite of pizza and was crying, screaming from it being so spicy. With my ramen the portions are tiny for what you pay, with 1 piece of meat, not enough noodles. Flavor wise it was spicy and bland. We ordered a couple appetizers which were not very good. The edamame was overly salty and soaked in soy sauce and the karaage was probably the only good thing and that was a little overfried. No one in our party finished our food or took any of the leftovers home. Save yourself the trip, not worth trying the "unique foods".

The lasagna was probably the best I have ever eaten. It had home made noodles, loads of cheese, red sauce, ham, and topped with cream sauce. My mouth is watering again just writing this review. The burrata was delicious too. It came with a small arugula salad, pesto sauce and a nice sized pice of rosemary bread. I wish I had more room to try their fresh made dessert cannoli's.

Walked into a busy, hot and crowded room that smelt like absolute dough heaven. I've been trying my best to cut out gluten and cheese from my diet and saw online that they had vegan pizza! To my surprise they had a whole vegan menu...amazing. I also ordered one of their many non-alcoholic options- a Riesling wine, really hit the spot. I had a lovely server who took the time out of very busy wave (not to mention only 2 people on the floor) to describe the whole menu to me, he was very kind and attentive. The pizza shown in the picture is a vegan BBQ smoke show, with their authentic Italian flour dough- although not gluten free (I'm not a fan of cauliflower dough) i left not feeling 'sick' or bloated. I was beyond happy that the pizza wasn't lacking in flavor or looks, very well done. If i could have devoured my pizza in one sitting i would have, but i had to bring it home. The space was hot and muggy but sometimes that's where a lotttt of magic happens! First impression was a hit, will definitely be back to test it out again!

We got the Prosciutto and Arugula flatbread, which was very thin and crispy. The truffle fries were really good and we had them with their chipotle aioli. Our waiter was pretty cool, although his name is escaping me now. We ordered a few appetizers, wings, steak taquitos, and the pretzel. We noshed on these before we ordered our meals of bison burger, and two single patty smash burgers. Not sure if it's because it was around 7:30/8 o'clock at night, but the food was not up to par according to the two that I was with, who frequent this place. The steak taquitos tasted a tad overdone, but still pretty good since it was the first time I've had them. The pretzel was really good, but the dipping sauces not so good. I still cannot figure out why one of them was a hot caramel sauce. I have never put caramel on my pretzel and it tasted like crap to be honest. The queso must've been the bottom of the pot because it was hard and kind of burnt tasting, so pretty disappointed in the pretzel choice. Our meals came and honest to God the Smashburger looked like a kids meal. This tiny burger plopped on a big white plate with onion rings, and the burger was not good. The bison burger did not have any of the sauces on it that it stated in the menu so he needed to ask for some love on the burger. So the waiter brought over a bunch of sauces. It's a shame because they talk about this place all the time and I really wanted to try it and it just wasn't up to par. I ended up taking my Smashburger home, and the next day I scraped the nasty sauce off it, added mayonnaise to the bun and an extra slice of cheese and it was actually pretty good. I definitely wanna come again because they talk about this place all the time and how good the food is. Maybe it was just the night we went.
