First went to the Patio Drive In 50 years ago. Went in today for a burger, was impressed. Double Ortega was delicious and great portion size. Fries were cooked perfectly. Best part, when you order a Ortega Cheese you get a large Ortega pepper you can taste. Not greasy but cooked on a flat top as a burger should. Good place for a get together or small meeting. I have driven right past this place almost every day for the last 13 years. Never gave it a second thought. Today, part on a whim and part out of a sense of adventure, I stopped in here and ordered a Double Cheeseburger with Fries. I was blown away with how perfectly and expertly they nailed the quintessential American Cheeseburger. First of all, the whole thing was cooked perfectly, slightly pink in the center and crispy on the outside, with plenty of melted American cheese. The produce was fresh and amazing, lettuce crispy, red onions fresh and firm, red tomatoes, and the right amount of pickles. Every bite was cheeseburger perfection. The bun was the perfect type for this burger, crumbly but not too dry and not too bready. And to top it off the whole thing was the size of my face. The fries were equally amazing - each one was cooked to perfect golden brown and crispy on the outside and fluffy/starchy on the inside, and salted to perfection. Overall I highly rate the cheeseburgers here. Must try. This place does not look like much on the outside or inside, but I would put this in the top 3 of burgers in the area. On a side note, I compared the price of this meal to a comparable meal at McDs. McD's was 20% higher and of lower quality, probably 1/5th of the food compared to this place. Great old fashioned diner with all day breakfasts, good shakes and burgers at good prices. It's a cold fall day today and a group of people just came in for hand dipped chocolate frosty cones. Shakes are large and taste good. Burgers are tasty and definitely need a couple of napkins. The place looks small from the road, but has quite a few tables for indoor eating. Two stars because of what seems like a family business and ran in a small town. We came for breakfast. As soon as I asked if it was thin bacon they served, and she replied "yes" I knew what place we was dealing with. I ordered the two sausage patties, eggs over easy, and extra crispy hash brown. Needless to say, over cooked eggs and early even cooked hash browns. It wasn't even busy, how does food come out cold and can't follow simple request? Some of the friendliest service I have seen in a long time and all the food was so fresh and delicious!!! I got the sausage lover breakfast and it was so amazing the country potatoes were absolutely delicious and tasted homemade and amazing. The deep fried mushrooms were amazing, the gravy and biscuit was so creamy and perfect, and my friend got a side of hash browns and she raved about it as well! This place looks pretty rundown, but the service was amazing, and the food is exactly what I wanted. I ordered the cheeseburger with a side of fries. The burger was exactly what I wanted. The thousand island dressing and the American cheese is what makes the diner burger so good. The flavor is very basic, but it still tasted so good. The fries were good too. They were fried fresh, and even though they were frozen, they need zero salt, and they were very crunchy. As a lover of cheap diner burgers, I would place this diner at the top of the list. read more

We were told we could get a good basic breakfast here and they were right. I had read some pretty negative reviews but those people were overly critical. We placed our order and had the food within 10 minutes. I had the French toast, bacon and egg and everything was good. My husband had the biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, and fried mushroom caps. He thought his breakfast was very satisfying. To us, it looks like a old Fosters freeze location and they definitely have a similar menu. The cherry on top was the service. All three of the people checked in with us on the food and quickly removed dishes and refilled drinks. A+! read more

Loved this place. The pickle patch was closed and we wanted lunch. We liked the food and the service was really good. The restaurant is very clean. The fries and onion rings were perfect! The patty melt was tasty. The steak sandwich was delicious (would have preferred it on a roll) but we were really happy with our food. Can't wait to go back and try breakfast. Well I've had over an hour to ponder what and how to review this place, I ordered a hamburger and a burrito, not really sure what's going on in the kitchen as there are 4 people back there who apparently aren't cooking seeing as how I'm still waiting. The sign says breakfast, lunch and dinner. You order breakfast but don't get to eat until dinner, fitting actually. I did get a free shake because of the long wait, although I accepted that offer reluctantly because I don't want anything to distract them further. I was told that there "was a large order" hence causing the slow down in service..... My wife and I have eaten at patio drive three times. On our third visit we ordered two cheeseburgers. Within 12 hours we both got very sick. We only have one bathroom.... Trust me. We needed two. When I called them the manager quickly said that she would let the cook know and then hung up on me. We won't be eating there again. read more

My family and I were driving through and decided to stop here for lunch, and am glad we did. The food was fresh and delicious and the manager and employees were very friendly. They had a good size menu which had very fair pricing. I ordered the angus burger, which was one of the best burgers I've ever had.
