My husband and I are not second time Patio Productions customers. We used to buy inexpensive patio furniture, and found that it would usually fall apart in a couple years, so we decided to invest in higher quality patio furniture. Patio Productions is a showroom located in Midtown with various outdoor furniture. They have indoor and outdoor areas where you can sit on the various furniture and look at color samples. I actually have really enjoyed my experience there both times, as they don't pressure or rush you. Someone typically offers assistance, and they let you walk around and look. Also, you can grab a soda water or a beer as you stroll around. A couple years ago, we purchased a wicker table with a glass top and matching chairs, also with Sunbrella fabric cushions and a matching umbrella from patio productions. It has been great quality and hasn't faded or chipped in the weather, despite that we have left it out the entire time. That time, our delivery date got pushed back a couple times, which was a little bothersome and we were wondering when the furniture would arrive. It did arrive and has been a great set for our outdoor dining. This time, we selected an aluminum patio set (sofa, loveseat, and two chairs) with matching Sunbrella fabric cushions, and furniture covers for everything. The experience was great and the furniture was delivered exactly on our requested date. They even had our selected Sunbrella color in stock. I love that the furniture came securely wrapped, but the delivery is curbside, and they do not take off the backing material. For us, it took two people with a knife and a pair of scissors 30 minutes to unpack... not to mention three large trash bags were filled with plastic packing material. Aside from the unpacking, we are very happy with the set and it looks really beautiful on our back patio. All in all, Patio Productions is a lovely showroom with lots of options and I recommend checking it out if you are looking for high quality patio furniture. read more

After some years of direct sun and salt air from the bay it was time to replace our terrace furniture around the pool & dining deck areas. I remember in elementary school during heat waves the teacher would turn off the lights and turn on the fans.  It was rare for anybody to have AC back then.  In the 90's when my place was built they slapped an AC unit on the roof and declared it a luxury development.  The patio doors and windows didn't impress me as they were cheap single pane glass. My cooling project began after I first moved in and found when I got home at 5pm during the summer my living room felt like a furnace.  Seems the last half of the day the sun shines into the living room and super heats it.  I did research and replacing the single pane glass with dual pane low-E glass would reduce the heat by more than half.  It was still hot though.  Next I tried a 6 ft round umbrella from Pier One imports.  This reduced the heat more.  The fabric was low quality and holes appeared after a few years being out in the sun.  Next I tried a 6X10ft umbrella from Costco with Sunbrella fabric.  This cooled down my living room more.  I liked the Costco umbrella alot and bought a 2nd one to cool my living room more.  This worked well for about 5 years until the crank on the umbrella broke. Around that same time I started working from home and I was more concerned about staying cool without AC.  I did research and found the biggest umbrella that would fit on my patio.  Patio Productions had a 8X10 umbrella that did the trick.  Also I was looking for the longest bottom pole available so the umbrella would be higher than my patio walls so instead of trapping heat now heat could vent from my patio.  They had a 45" bottom pole that worked with a little help from some wood from Lowe's.  This made my living room cooler. During heat waves it still got over 80F in my living room.  Originally my living room was blistering hot due to direct sunlight.  Now the sun was heating up the umbrellas and the area under the umbrellas.  Some of this heat eventually got into my living room.  I decided to shield my patio from heating up with car sunshields.  The folding ones were fairly thick and did a good job deflecting heat.  It was hard keeping them in place.  I found the thin flat car sunshields combined with clips were good at holding the folding sunshields in place under the umbrella.  This triple layer does a good job keeping the area under the umbrella from heating up. At night I leave the patio door open then in the morning when it starts to heat up I close the patio door and keep that cool night air inside.  I have also replaced most of the light bulbs in the house with LED bulbs that only use a small amount of electricity.  It rarely gets up to 80F in my living room now.  Next time I need an umbrella I wouldn't get a white one as bird poop and other stains are more noticeable than on the tan umbrella. This summer I noticed a hot spot in the center of my umbrella where I can't put sunshields due to the center pole.  I ordered an outdoor sunshield to lay on top of the umbrella.  This didn't work as the sunshield would not stay in place.  I bought a second sunshield and clipped it to the first one which made the new double length sunshield long enough to traverse the entire umbrella allowing me to clip it to the umbrella.  I was also thinking of adding more wood to the bottom of the umbrellas to raise the height and allow for more ventilation. So far my patio umbrella with the Sunbrellas fabric from Patio Productions has been doing a great job.  I would shop there again as they have a huge selection unavailable at places like Home Depot and a helpful staff. During the winter I remove the umbrella shading my living room.  Letting the sun in during the day heats up my living room and the dual pane low-E glass keeps the cold from getting in at night.  Thus I don't need to use the heater. I can recommend, but with caution. In June '25, I drove 2 hours to the San Diego showroom/warehouse/online sales office (few parking spaces immediately off the freeway) which is right next to active train tracks with frequent and extremely loud, fast trains. This does rattle the building, the body, and one's focus! The furniture displays were repetitive of similar couches and lounge chairs, a limited number of dining table/chair options, and featured plenty of their own commissioned line which they claim is mostly in-stock. They offer catalog orders of other brands like Jensen Outdoor, which is what I was specifically looking for, but the lead time was 6 months out. I placed a decent order of two of their "in-stock" dining tables, 8 chairs, and two dining benches with a promised delivery of 10 days. That date came and went with no delivery, and it took several calls/complaints and 2 more weeks to get a new delivery date. They blamed it on their outside logistics/delivery company, but clearly they don't follow through once they charge your credit card. The delivery guys were great, unwrapped all pieces carefully, inspected each piece, and took all the packaging away. The furniture is holding up well 6 weeks later, is comfortable and looks attractive. It's unlikely that I'll order from them again. read more

We had an A+ experience with Patio Productions purchase two custom TUUCI Ocean Master M1 center post umbrellas. TUUCI's are literally top of the line and come with a bit of a confusing menu of customizations. Matt gracefully walked us through all the options and was able to counsel us on best solutions as he took the time to understand our needs. They have various lock, tilt and crank solutions for example. Using separate mast and fabric samples along with viewing other TUUCI's on the Patio Productions massive and beautiful showroom floor we also had an easy time selecting colors. Matt was helpful here too with detailed suggestions. For example, we decided on white fabric. But Matt encouraged us to go with the more off white "Platinum" color as he said dirt and stains are less visible. The pricing was fantastic and all conversations around pricing were 100% transparent. Not a hair of salesiness. Matt was stand up, always replied to my communications immediately, provided white glove delivery of the product on time, and was just an all around pleasure to do business with. I will definitely gladly return to Patio Productions for any future patio needs. 5 stars well earned. I'm not surprised that 100+ other Yelpers feel the same way. To follow is but a personal opinion based on recent experiences. Absolute worst customer responsiveness I have ever had to deal with; borderline ridiculous in my opinion given how difficult it has been to get reliable information and delivery of the product I purchased long ago. Company keeps blaming issues on shipping entity but in the end they are the ones liable for me getting the product as scheduled. After constantly trying to get information on my shipment it was conveyed a couple of weeks later that my shipment was lost with the carrier. Sad that it took several weeks, and me hounding them, to even find this out as I told them from the outset I would gladly apply the monies to another item as I have purchased products from them in the past under a different entity name. After supposedly finding the shipment(expensive furniture) delivery was scheduled. After sitting around all day for the delivery(they only give you four hour windows), which was confirmed via text multiple times, they simply never showed up! When I called the center they said it was never loaded on the truck. Why didn't they call me at that point so I would not have to take an entire day off work? So, I rescheduled delivery for another day, with numerous text confirmations and a discussion with logistics support as well, and after taking off another day of work the shipment was not delivered. Again, not so much as a phone call from anyone relative to the delivery not taking place as planned. Another lost day of work; totally 2 now. At this point in time I have nothing else to assume than perhaps my product does not exist at all and I am being strung along. read more

We live up in Carlsbad but drove down to their showroom near the airport and were blown away by the selections. During the lockdown, we spent weeks poring over patio furniture options for our new home. It's a huge investment and nerve racking it. So we were excited that Patio Productions reopened this weekend, with great social distancing measures in place and lots of hand sanitizer for shoppers. - Everything in the store is really high quality. I previously owned a sofa set from Restoration Hardware, which I loved. Patio Productions items seem much, much better quality than that at about half the price of a comparable set at RH. - While the showroom didn't have all the exact pieces we needed, Lynne patiently helped us go through their catalog. We were able to mix and match chairs we loved there with a more space-appropriate dining table. - Lynne and the owner Ben helped us mix and match our accessories to tie everything together. We have a rug we love and an umbrella on the way. - Memorial Day sale discount, plus additional price cuts for taking home some of their floor models. - We brought a pickup truck to bring everything home, so we saved on delivery fees. Would suggest doing that if you or a friend have one. Ben even helped us tie down the sofa to the roof rack and safely load everything else into the truck bed. We were able to haul a sofa, two lounge chairs, a coffee table and a lot of cushions in just one trip. - The overall showroom is full of stylish, fun things.
