North park nursery is one of the first nurseries I ever been to in San Diego. It is on the smaller side but they have pretty much all the main houseplants you would want. The prices are average for a nursery and they have some beautiful plants! The staff is very nice and the plus is that there is a coffee shop right next door. The only con is that parking is pretty bad since it's mainly street parking. There are only 3 spots in the front but you'll be lucky if it's open because it's usually taken.

Such a cool nursery! I stumbled upon North Park Nursery after having a great lunch at the next door Communal. All the plants are awesome, healthy, I like their patio and various spaces. It is an oasis of peace and sun and happy plants in the cool North Park. The employees are friendly, i was explained how to take care of plants I was putting in the sun could perfectly go in darker humid places like the bathroom (I was burning some of my babies in the scorching sun). Overall a fantastic nursery!

I purchased this Matilda Poppy a couple of weeks ago at North Park Nursery. It died a few days later - I do have a green thumb! I wanted to see what the root of the problem was & it was shocking when all the soil fell apart and this little plug was in there!!! It didn't have a chance even in heaven of living in this oversized pot! It's HORRIBLE that you are cheating plant people that trust you! The clerk said when I bought it that there is a no return policy. BEYOND SHAMEFUL!!!!

I just got breakfast and coffee next door and decided I deserved a plant after a long week (my own version of self care!). I felt so welcomed and the staff here cares deeply for their costumers and plants. I have worked in retail and customer service for 10 years and understand the balance of managing a store and people at the same time. While Katie and Savannah were busy with a rush of customers, they still smiled and greeted me. I also had specific questions about the best way to care for my bromeliads and Katie answered every question I had. I will absolutely be back because I love to support local businesses, the variety of plants, the option to buy a plant that needs more love at a discount, and how friendly and knowledgeable the staff are. I would recommend this nursery to everyone, it's a hot spot! Thank you Katie and Savannah!!

On the day we visited Communal Coffee, we also stopped at the connected North Park Nursery. We were celebrating my 3 year anniversary of a good health record and picked up a plant just like the one my husband purchased when I was in the hospital. The shop was cozy, the staff was informative and our dog was warmly welcomed at both places. One of the young ladies was also wearing a mask with dogs on it. We left satisfied with beverage, food and remembering and celebrating important milestones. Thank you North Park Nursery for making the day even brighter... #NorthParkNursery #SanDiego #PetFriendly #PlantstoRemember

Staff are nice but this location is TERRIBLE. I drove around the block and there were NO SPACES on the street (any street in the 4 block perimeter.) Apparently EVERYONE WORKS FROM HOME IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD ALL DAY -EVERYDAY so I waited for someone to leave for 20/25 minutes so I could park in the only designated space they have. I called and asked what the suggestion was to find parking, and they told me I would have to park a few blocks away and walk over. I have a bad ankle so obviously I did not take that advice and continued to wait for the space to open up. The sign says "30 minute parking" but how long does it really take to buy a plant?? This is ridiculous. Ill be shopping at places with parking lots from now on.

Bianca...let me tell you, this woman is a life savor, not only did she save a dog from a burning building but also got a cat out of the tree. But for real, she is amazingly helpful. I walked into a nursery with a fishbowl and she helped me design and build my first little succulent garden/Terrarium thing and i am super happy. Will definitely be going back, maybe for a cactus garden next time. The other staff members as well were more than helpful in assisting me with the maintenance aspect of my new garden and how to care for them. Overall 11/10 Will be back

There's so much to see, so bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfy shoes since the ground can be uneven. You'll encounter steps, slopes, and some dirt paths. The parking lot is small and fills up fast, so I like to get there early, especially if I'm doing a big plant haul. It can be tricky loading plants when you're parked far away. What doesn't this place have? There's an onsite bar and grill that's dog‑friendly, has live music, and serves brunch on weekends. There's also a cute boutique flower/gift shop with curated items perfect for any plant lover. They offer free local classes to help educate the community -- I've taken the shrub class, but they have tons of gardening‑related workshops. They have chickens, birds, turtles, and more. They care for and rescue animals, which is amazing. They sell compost, and they have every plant you can imagine, plus a large selection of seeds, pots, tools, beekeeping supplies, and canning equipment. I love that this is a neighborhood, locally owned nursery that truly gives back. They do so much to educate the community and promote sustainability. So I ordered from them a second time and was pretty disappointed. I ordered the Peach Fuzz floral for my aunts birthday and it had no ranunculus and was filled with mostly fillers. Don't get me wrong, it was still a pretty bouquet and I know it won't always look like the ones online, but for the price that it was, it could have had more roses or something if they ran out of the ranunculus and less of the filler. Also didn't get a proof of delivery this time, so im not sure if they forgot or if they knew it didn't look like what I paid for. He was incredibly responsive throughout the process and remained highly engaged in discussing our plans. =PROS= *Extensive decor included. The package came with beautiful florals and centerpieces, and we were able to view a sample table set up that felt simple yet elegant *Food was included and notably served plated, which is typically an expensive upgrade at many other venues *Clean bathrooms with multiple stalls, which was surprisingly uncommon after touring so many venues *DJ and wedding planner services were already included *Photobooth upgrade was offered at a very reasonable price =CONS= *Very limited parking. We were grateful valet service was included for our larger guest count, but I would strongly recommend this upgrade if not already part of the package *No groom suite. There was a small bridal suite available, though it would feel cramped for anyone beyond just the bride *Limited greenery surrounding the ceremony area. Aside from some shrubbery, there was very little natural scenery and noticeable street noise nearby The pricing was extremely competitive and this likely would have been our choice had I not personally prioritized a venue with more natural surroundings. From both a financial and planning standpoint, this option removed a lot of the usual wedding stress because of how many services were already bundled together. On top of that, Oscar and his team stood out for being exceptionally organized and efficient during both the tour and quoting process.
