I brought my family here to eat and was disappointed with the service from the moment we arrived. We weren't greeted or acknowledged at all not even a simple "We'll be with you shortly." waitresses walked past us multiple times without saying anything. Then, another group came in after us and was greeted right away. I'm not sure why we were treated differently, but it didn't make us feel welcome. I hope the staff can work on acknowledging every guest equally, because a simple greeting goes a long way. read more

Visiting Pagosa Springs for the first time. Hotel clerk recommended this place for breakfast. It did not disappoint. The spinach omelette was fluffy and delicious! Large portion of crispy hash browns. The staff are very friendly and attentive. On Saturday the restaurant was not very busy, but today on Sunday it was slammed. I go here more often than any other cafe in town so I know it pretty well. It's a very friendly place, wonderful staff, and it's always spice and span clean. The food is consistently good, the portions are ample and it always gets to the table hot. It's a cute restaurant and the service was friendly if not attentive. For instance, we asked three times for coffee creamer and still never got it. We ordered strawberries for French toast and that didn't happen either. My drink was never filled. The food was all lackluster. The French toast was dry. The hashbrowns were nearly raw. What a cute little cafe restaurant! We just missed breakfast but it looked fabulous! The lunch sandwiches were delicious and super big! My only issue is the fries weren't cooked all the way through and most were cold. But my focus was the sandwich. The waitress was nice and pleasant but didn't seem very knowledgeable on menu items when we asked questions. Overall I would go back and hopefully get breakfast! read more

My family always comes here while vacationing in Pagosa Springs. I am really glad we came today. It was busy, so we waited a bit for a handicap accessible table. But once seated, we were served at a reasonable pace. Ask for 1/2 order size like we got, unless you are a big eater! Everything was very good and the green chile had a bit of a kick. Why doesn't this place get better reviews! My husband has been here before and we decided to take a drive from our Durango vacation and check out Pagosa Springs. The restaurant was clean and had a very open feeling. The seats were comfortable unlike a lot of breakfast places these days. Our server, Reva, was awesome! So genuine, sweet and efficient. I ordered the Denver omelet without onions and my husband ordered the breakfast Quesadilla with sausage. It was huge, we ended up taking half home with us. It heated up great! . Mine was okay, I should have ordered a different omelet. The ham was pretty tasteless. But it was filled with ham, green pepper and cheese. The hash browns were good as well as the English muffin. I have to say I almost didn't eat it at all. Very disappointed. I always like to go to new places that aren't chain restaurants.. My first impression was it is a quaint little restaurant with friendly staff. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich . It comes with hash browns. I didn't even touch the hash browns because the sandwich was more than enough. One egg on the sandwich would have been enough. Hubs ordered the basic 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and English muffin. He ate it all but said he should have gotten onions in the hash browns. We both had to use the restroom at Walmart afterwards but that could have been from anything. This is a great place for a quiet meeting and good food. We had two couples and ordered three different Meals. Two of us had the eggs and meat. Everything was perfect. One of our group had the waffle and eggs. It was great. The last person had the biscuits and gravy. It was very good and the gravy was outstanding. The biscuits were soft and tasted homemade. Pretty average eatery. Food is good and portions are generous but nothing to write home about! If you are able to sit by a window the view is pleasant. The wait staff are quick and very kind! I ordered the country Benedict (basically an open face breakfast sandwich on hash browns covered in gravy! Grandma ordered a waffle which she enjoyed and Grandpa had an omelette which he also enjoyed. There was a 15-20 minute wait on a Thursday around 10:30-this place stays packed! So far the best place to grab breakfast in Pagosa Springs. Hubby and I were sitted as soon as we walked in and both the waitresses were very attentive and nice. Hubby ordered the pancakes with scrambled eggs and ham. The pancakes were light and fluffy. I ordered an omelette with cheese and chorizo accompanied with an English muffin. The omelette was tasty and the chorizo added just the right amount of kick. The servings were more than enough so much so neither of us could eat it all. I changed my rating from initially being a 5 to a 3. We left and noticed after leaving we were charged an automatic 18% gratuity and were not told that. We left an additional $7 on top of that. Our party had 5 including a baby. That hardly justifies a $16 tip for breakfast. They should review their policies and either notify parties of this or not add it to a table of 5. We had breakfast at Cafe Colorado on our way home from Pagosa. The restaurant was very clean and nice and service was very friendly and on point. The waitress took time to explain order portions so we would get exactly what we wanted. I had a scrambled egg omelet with cheddar cheese and ham and it was perfectly cooked to order. This little cafe in Pagosa Springs is awesome!! Their breakfast is excellent down home cooking. I got their special that had two eggs, any style, served with bacon, hash browns and one of their to die for pancakes. I loved every bit of this tasty breakfast. The atmosphere is quaint and cute. Service was great!! We didn't have to wait long for our food and they kept our drinks refilled without even asking. Keep in mind that they are only open 6:00 to 2:00 everyday. We found this tiny gem in route home from Durango - and were desperate for some yummy breakfast, we stopped here. Here goes: 1. The joint is small and although it looks decent sized, it fills up fast! 2. Food here is great - fresh, homemade and to perfection! I was craving a simple sandwich and it was delicious and totally hit the spot! sausage, egg and cheese on a fresh croissant! mmm! The rest of the family noshed on a variety of pancakes and omlettes and weren't disappointed! 3. They are severely understaffed here - we weren't even greeted until we had been standing near the "please wait to be seated" sign for a good 15 minutes. Once we sat down, menu's arrived but we didn't receive our coffee until well after 20 minutes and our food long after that. However - just be patient though, it's worth the wait. 4. Price isn't bad for all you get! HOWEVER - this town is a little deserted and apparently all the locals come here...and STARE at passerby's'. awkward. read more
