Wow....I really love these potato pies. I am always looking for delicious desserts that are not too sweet but yet full of flavor, and this hits the mark. The crust is perfect, and the potato pie doesn't have that overly sweet taste you get at the supermarket and everywhere else. Instead, I taste mild cinnamon and other spices (?). Everyone in my family tried it, and we all gave a thumbs up! A perfect dessert.

Date: 8/5/2018 Time: 12:25 PM 72° Partly sunny Patrick's Famous Pies was at the Fremont Festival of Arts this afternoon. I have seen this vendor before at other festivals in the past, selling sweet potato pies, peach cobbler and sweet potato bread. The price of three individual size sweet potato pies in a bag was $14.00; peach cobbler (4"x5"x2"), $12.00. A package deal of pie, cobbler and bread was $25.00. Wow...it certainly was pricey for the three assorted items. I like peach cobbler, but seeing his version of it left me with this strange feeling that there was more dough than peaches. I decided to forego the cobbler, figuring it was not worth the cost. Then after reading other reviews re: the peach cobbler, I'm glad I did not purchase it for my husband. It would have resulted in a lower rating to two stars. The sweet potato pie tasted good, except the crust around the edge of the pie was hard. I broke my plastic fork trying to eat a portion of the crust. Even though the vendor showed me an article, claiming that each pie had one gram of sugar, I could only eat a small portion of it. I did not want to over indulge and have my glucose level elevated. Only time alone will tell when I have another portion of it to see what impact it has on my glucose reading. Overall, it's either a hit or a miss. I'm leaving the rating at three stars.

Could not resist buying a variety 3 pack! Yummy, yummier & yummiest!! I wish you would open a store in Encinitas

The Peach Cobbler missed the mark!

Was excited to see stop and try the Peach Cobbler at the Downtown Alameda Art & Wine Festival. I ended up being quite disappointed for multiple reasons: 1. $12 for a 4x5x2 container of peach cobbler! 2. 6 peach slices in the cobbler!!!!! 3. The crust was very sponge-like, very doughy. 4. He was very insistent that my daughter try his product even though she clearly told him that she did not care for it. Again, I was very hopeful that I would enjoy this $12 pie. With it being peach season, I would assume that he would lower the prices during the summer months to make it more reasonable, and also make it worth $12 by putting more than a sprinkle of peaches.

Can't wait to dig into these, sweet potato pie and bread.

Produce was moldy within 24 hours. I did contact you several times for a resolution but each contact was ignored.

Purchased a pie at the Tucson 4th Avenue Street Fair. Best pie we've ever eaten. Wish they were here all year.

I wasn't in the mood for them, so I skipped them but sounds like I need to try them. I tried some of the assortment of pan, and each of the things I got was solid. I enjoyed them all and wouldn't be against eating them again. They have a number of different things available to choose from, and I had some choices to make. I'll definitely be hack to try some other things. I also got a licuado, and it was delicious. I got one with mango, but they have a number to choose from and I'll try another one when in town. The staff that were there were great.

I've never had an issue until this visit, which is why I feel the need to share this experience. This was my first time purchasing a cake from here, and unfortunately it was extremely disappointing and concerning. When we cut into the cake at home, we noticed odd gray/green discoloration inside the cake, uneven texture, and areas that looked wet and broken down. It also had this awful smell and the appearance alone was enough to make us stop eating it immediately. This does not look like normal cake coloration or texture, and it raised serious food safety concerns. Cakes, especially those with moisture, fillings, or cream, should be closely monitored, and it seems like this one may have sat on display far too long. This is not just about taste or quality; someone could genuinely get sick from consuming something like this. What's disappointing is that I genuinely like this place and come here often, which makes this experience even more frustrating. I really hope management takes this seriously and re-evaluates how long cakes are kept on display before being discarded. Freshness and safety should never be compromised. I'm sharing this not to bash the business, but because I believe they can and should do better, especially since many families shop here regularly.

That was honestly my favorite part of Liled's. Their handmade ice cream was incredible, especially the dark chocolate flavor, which I still remember years later. I tried the ice cream they have now, and it just felt generic. It wasn't bad, but it didn't have anything that made it stand out. I also bought a few of the chocolates. I'm not sure if they're still made in house, so I don't want to assume they aren't, but they weren't as impressive as I remembered. On the other hand, the Dubai strawberry cup was absolutely amazing and is definitely something I'll be back for. One thing I really appreciated was that the store still looks very much the same as it did when I was a kid. It brought back a lot of great memories. My daughter enjoyed visiting, and the customer service was friendly and welcoming. I just wish they still made their own ice cream. It was what made Liled's so special to me. Even so, it's still a neat place to visit, especially if you're looking for a nostalgic stop or want to try the Dubai strawberry cup.
