Stumbled upon this gem when I arrived too late to do a Yelp elite event in the area and was still craving a sweet treat so I pulled up my handy Yelp and found the Famiky Cookie which was 4 minutes away. Sold. Headed over and was overjoyed to discover this is a It's It outlet! Picked up a dozen ice cream sandwiches for about 13 bucks and some cookie dough also 13 bucks and happily made the 45 minute drive home. Not much ambiance to speak of. This tiny outlet store is in a hard-to-find location. You will discover it hiding in a more industrial area in a drab cream colored building with a cute, black awning out front. They sell only two products, their own Stella Gourmet cookies and raw dough, and the well known *It's It* ice cream "sandwiches" (I use that term loosely since they use their famous oatmeal cookies instead of the more typical thin rectangular, chocolate cake variety). The Stella Gourmet Cookie manufacturing facility is right next door to this store. You can buy freshly baked cookies or you can grab a box of pre-measured, ready to bake, raw dough cubes. The secret to true success here is, after you flip on the oven, plop a couple cubes on the cookie sheet, grab a glass of Napa wine, don't forget and burn them, then take credit like you created those cookies yourself. Or....you might also find the inclination to eat it raw! Just do it! The "It's It" ice cream sandwiches (they carry some less common flavors besides the typical mint, vanilla or chocolate ice cream fillings) can be found in the flat top chest freezers, singly or in bulk. Not sure if it is a bargain but, hey, it's ice cream. Who cares? And when you get done shopping, allow yourself to take a stroll around the block. This is a little old fashioned town, with an extremely quaint, old Suisun (pronounced Soo Soon by the locals) train depot a half a block away. To add to your giddiness, a few miles away, you can indulge in a Jelly Belly Factory tour. If that's not enough, there is also the Guittard Corporate Offices nearby. Wow, I wonder if they do tours as well? Not sure but, all things considered, all that sugar in one day oughta finish me off. read more

This is the storefront with Family Cookie and Its-It Outlet under the same roof...Yes, they have been making Its-Its for over 30 years, and they sell their cookie doughs separately by the boxes too. How sweet is that!?!? For $9, you get 48 pieces of cookie dough from the following flavors- Chocolate Chip, M&M's, Snickerdoodles, Oatmeal Raisin, Snickerdoodle, Playland, Double chocolate Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate Mint chip, and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. Jay Shamieh (The Owner) was so nice. Gave us samples of the cookies, showed us all the different flavors and gave us great customer service. They actually make the cookies right next door. This place just opened up about 3 months ago. They have a great deal going on right now where you can purchase a box of it's it's and save $1 on cookie dough. The best part about this place is, it is so local & it is something that we all love! It's right off Hwy 12 with so many other things near by. Today I was invited to lunch in Suisun. Mr. Tony T and Ms. Theresia D. were my lunchmates at La Cabana Restaurant. On our way into town Tony spotted a sign waver (do these guys have a name?) who was advertising an "It's It" Outlet Store. Tony was so excited about it that he actually headed into the wrong lane of traffic.... thank goodness for the bumps in the middle of the road. We successfully maneuvered our way to the restaurant and enjoyed a nice lunch (Thanks Tony T.). Tony insisted that we check out the It's It Outlet. The owner, Jay Shamieh greeted us when we entered. We really appreciated the nice icy cold air conditioned shop. It was clean as a whistle (one that hasn't been blown yet) and all of the items were displayed in very clean refrigerated cases. Jay served samples of his Stella's Gourmet Frozen Cookie Dough (cooked) to Tony and Theresia (I couldn't eat a bite) and explained his operation to us. They have been making the It's It product for over 30 years in the building next door and just recently opened the Outlet Shop. Well, I walked out with my case of It's Its and a case of Stella Frozen Macadamia Nut and White Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (for Ms. Darlene who is always taking care of me). Jay is going to get himself set up on the Internet one day, but in the meantime, just stop in and give him a "hey y'all" all friendly like and let him know that the nice folks on YELP had nothing but good things to say about him. And.... I saved a whole lot of money on my products.... he might not recognize me on my next visit, I may have gained a little weight. read more

Walked in on a Saturday 11am, first timer. The young tall woman greeted me with a smile and asked what would I like to take home today. Very large selection of classic treats. She mention they are out of pumpkin and mint.. I thought there's more than enough choices to substitute. Took the full case of 24 and 2 bagels Dogs Came home and realized for all those treats is an awesome price wish I would of came home with an additional box to fill the freezer special this hot summer in Fairfield. Before there was froyo, there was good ol' prepacked processed goodness. Driving along 12 to Suisun you'll see a sign proclaiming the It's It Outlet...well hellll yeah. I always thought it was weird they only came 3 to a box at the store. Such an odd number, but no problems with that here. You can choose 10 for $10, no tax. You can pick from all the It's It varieties: It's It (chocolate, vanilla, mint, and cappuccino) Big Daddy (traditional ice cream sandwich in square form) Super Sundae (vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate with peanuts) With the 10 you also get a free Chips It (chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich) You can also ask to get it double boxed in case you have to drive a while. I was about an hour drive and no melting chocolate at all. Great service, great ice cream! read more

After Cast Iron Grill, we stopped by this place because they got this huge It's It sign that caught our attention. Great time for dessert after a nice meal. We came on a Thursday afternoon. - Excellent welcome. It's quite rare to have the owner of the store present to you his whole story and how he got started up then say stuff about his ice cream. Such a salesman! - Personable. He has a picture of himself when he was in Elementary Catholic school. CLASSIC! love it - He gave us coupons. It's cheaper to buy it in a box. 79 cents each. - I got a cappuccino it's it. Tasted great. Unmelted even after a 15min drive back to work :) - They have a mint it's it which I'll get next time. We were on our way to Fairfield visiting friends with our newborn in tow and of course as luck would have it, little Cranky Avalon needed to eat. On the way there, we happen to see off the side of the freeway an It's It outlet! All sorts of childhood memories come flooding back in that millisecond of spotting the sign. I won't bore you with details but suffice it to say that It's It goes with Friday nights grocery shopping at the Lucky's in the old GET strip mall in the city. OK. So many years and countless therapy sessions later, I spot the It's It outlet in Suisun which is actually the cookie dough company that makes the cookies that sandwich the ice cream filling that is It's It. Frozen cookie dough, and It's It in a variety of flavors--vanilla, mint chocolate chip, chocolate and cappucino--are available at this joint. I fell in love with the friendly staff and the cappucino It's It. What a great find on the road less taken during a breastfeeding session. Good times. read more

My wife and I never miss an opportunity to visit Stella's / Family Cookie Company when in town visiting relatives, and last week was no different! We visited the shop shortly after opening and found it stocked with numerous varieties of frozen cookie dough and ice cream treats! We grabbed a couple ice cream sandwiches to immediately snack on, and also stocked up on a few boxes of cookie dough to take with us on our road trip back to Seattle. Stella herself was also very gracious as my wife changed her mind (a couple of times!) at checkout as to which kind of dough she wanted. The products are always top notch and quick to prepare (the cookies), making for a great treat on movie nights at home. Why Stella's does not rate a solid Yelp 5 star rating is beyond me; I'd give them a 10 if I could! read more

What a sweet find! Great deals! This 3rd generation family run & owned company makes the cookies for ITS IT ice cream treats. Our first time here left us with a wonderful impression from the ever so gracious Kris who helped us. They offer various take home to bake cookie doughs, cheese cakes, HUGE 8 inch baked cookies for $3 & of course It's It ice cream sandwiches in more flavors than I ever knew existed. We got the variety pack (12 ice cream cookie treats for $12), which included the yummiest looking chubby ice cream sandwiches I've ever seen & I make them myself from scratch. Location maybe hard to find unless you see a big sign of the companies name. I used to come here all the time until I came here on the days they were closed then I stopped coming back because it would be closed certain days, changed times, and the price was raised. It's the best ice cream ever but wish they didn't raise it .25 more. I ended up buying 10 for $10. 25 cents makes a difference. I would probably go to raleys and get the pack just so it saves me time from a closed store - and they close early. Great place to take your family though! They had a few options Strawberry, Pumpkin, Mint, Vanilla...etc. prices individually for $1.50 a pice or a dozen for $11. One of my favorite places to go when visiting my brother. I've tried the strawberry, vanilla, green tea, pumpkin, mint, and the Super Sundae It's Its. The pumpkin and mint are my favorite. The vanilla and strawberry were also good. I could do without the Super Sundae but it was still good. I hated the green tea, but I guess I'm not big on green tea foods. Eh. Bought these from a coworkers kid selling them for school. I love to bake and so I bought the White Chocolate Macadamia since I never really bake that particular cookie on my own. Oh man they are like suuuuper greasy!! Doesn't taste like real butter though, they're like oily greasy. And to echo another Yelper I baked half a dozen off and have found one single solitary piece of macadamia nut in one out of the 6 cookies. There are hardly any white chocolate chips either, maybe like 1-2 chips in each cookie. Disappointing. read more

Definitely not what I was expecting. My boyfriend and I went there expecting to get froyo and yes. There was no froyo only sliding door freezers with ice creams and other frozen treats in it. I got a jumbo chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich thing, that came in a bag and wasn't made in front of you like Cream in Davis, which didn't taste that great. This is not a review of the product. Obviously the cookies are great. I went in today to use my Groupon for $20 worth of product. I was told I could only select items from their discontinued freezer which amounted to coconut macaroons, pie tins of pre baked brownies and some plain cookie dough geared toward small children. Nowhere on my Groupon did it state my selections would be limited in any way. Why offer a groupon in you are going to offer the same deal in store without needing a groupon? Wish I could have gotten my money back. Great way to get rid of your discontinued stock and lose a customer at the same time. read more

I bought some of Stella's Frozen cookie dough threw my grand -children's school as a fund raiser. They have made it so easy to bake up some cookies for after school snacks. The flavors are all so wonderful, just like a grandmother would make!! I really hope their school will use your company again next year for their fund raiser. My nephew's school recently had a fundraiser and I bought 7 boxes of the pre-formed cookie dough at $15 a box. I purchased a variety of different flavors and I'm disappointed in every one of them. First of all, if you follow the directions on the box to cook them you end up with little pieces of burnt cookie toast. I tried lowering the oven temp. and cooking time, that fixed the crispy, burnt cookie issue but the cookies have a terribly strange aftertaste. It's like too much baking powder or baking soda was used when the cookie dough was made. My second gripe is that margarine and shortening are used as ingredients! Who does that anymore? What happened to good old fashioned butter? So, needless to say the cookies will be collecting ice in my freezer forever. read more
