They returned with a Rheem (approx retail cost $750.00), which didn't fit on the elevated base correctly - part of the heater now hangs over the edge. The job was completed in two and a half hours. When I calculated the costs of the job, I assigned $1,000.00 to parts and supplies, which left a $1,425.00 labor cost. For a two-and-half-hour job (which included the time spent picking up a water heater), the hourly labor cost was $570.00 for both Alfred & Tobie, or $285.00 an hour each. IMO, the costs were excessive and I felt that I was taken advantage of due to the situation. I contacted Bryco, but I never heard from them.

While he were here, one of the toilets they had installed also needed a very minor adjustment inside the tank. Again, I was told I was just outside the warranty period and would have to pay over $150 for a service call for what was essentially a two-minute fix. I understand that labor is not free, and I respect that service companies have to charge for their time. However, after spending nearly $40,000 with this company, I expected at least a little courtesy and goodwill for such small, quick adjustments. Instead, I was met with a rude attitude and a complete unwillingness to help unless I paid another service charge. My biggest issue is not just the warranty cutoff. It is the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and customer care after we spent so much money with them. The experience felt very transactional: take the money, then refuse to stand behind the work in any reasonable way once the big project was done. Based on our experience, I would not use this company again, and I would strongly encourage others to be cautious. He measured my line at 110 psi, confirmed water pressure was a concern, and pointed out that the water pressure valve regulator needed to be replaced. Raul then called the insurance company. In his initial report, he only mentioned that the failure was due to high water pressure, but he did not mention the faulty pressure valve regulator, resulting in my claim being denied. After I contacted the insurance company to explain, they reopened the claim so Raul could submit an amended report. This time, he included the pressure valve regulator but claimed that its failure was due to "abnormal" water pressure from the water district. Because he described it as "abnormal," my claim was denied again. I called the San Antonio Water System and confirmed the local pressure goes up to 150 psi, which is why a regulator is necessary, but my Watts valve is rated up to 300 psi. The city's water pressure is not "abnormal"--the regulator was simply faulty. Raul's failure to report the facts clearly and accurately--in both his initial and amended reports--shows a lack of prudence and professional responsibility. His actions led to my claim being denied twice. Why did Raul act as the expert on how SAWS manages its water pressure systems? What qualifies him to make such definitive judgments about city infrastructure? This is the service of yesteryear when it meant something to commit to the very best. Jason explained thoroughly how these breakers can take a turn and fail when not properly maintained. (In our case we had some screws that were loose, causing the intermittent flow to tax the breaker) We had used our home warranty service to have an AC guy look at the problem previously (before the breaker completely failed) and he had completely misdiagnosed the problem.
