Ordered a carne asada burrito for pick up. Nothing extra just a burrito. Actually, I was told that the burrito no longer includes guacamole which was fine. I went to get my order and pay for it and saw that the total was OVER $27 dollars. I thought maybe they charged me twice or maybe for guacamole but NO it was for one burrito. Really good, authentic place with amazing specials on Mondays. I was actually told they have specials everyday, but I love the margarita Mondays. Their food is delicious and filling and large portions. Also incredibly hot plates! I love that they bring out the chips with salsa and also a plate of refried beans with some tomato and onion on top. I've never liked refried beans but I will eat anything with a tortilla chip! You can customize some of the things, but not everything. There is a language barrier as Spanish is the primary language spoken, although they do speak English. I had ordered mojo de ajo and it was supposed to come with scallops and shrimp, it definitely only came with shrimp even though I specifically asked for the scallops. All good though. Still tasty! The parking is a little tricky as it is in the same plaza as a key foods grocery store so there are lots of shopping carts everywhere. And it is very busy. There is indoor and outdoor seating, a small bar area, and TVs inside. Super cute place to chill and enjoy. Majority of the customers were Hispanic, when your own people frequent your restaurant, you know the food is fyre. They have a selection of imported beers so you don't have to drink regular corona. I got the steak burrito and this thing was massive. It's enough for 2 meals. It heavy on rice so just let them know to go easy on it. When we arrived, the friendly and welcoming staff rushed to seat us immediately. One immediate treat was the chips and salsa, which also came with a refried bean dip! The chips were the perfect, salty, crunchy vehicles for both of these delicious dips! I was so sad when the Azteca by my house closed, but was equally as excited when I found out that they had opened a restaurant in Coral Springs. The staff is always very nice and will let you know more about what's on the menu. Their margaritas are also very good and they're strong so it's going to get the job done. I have not had Mexican food since February, so I was way overdue for some tacos! We came to have a late lunch to this newish restaurant in Coral Springs. Patron Azteca took over the space for Los Tacos. Thankfully it was very slow, not many parties, which is the way I like it these days. We were well distanced from everyone. All staff was wearing masks and there was sanitizer for guest to use. The entrance is at the side rather than at the front. They are next to a Supermarket and I really appreciated this. All the people coming in and out with their groceries makes it for a congested spot. We were seated right away and were brought chips and salsa with a really good bean paste. We ordered a giant margarita to share which I must say was adequately strong. And not too sweet. I ordered street tacos, chicken and steak. I was a little disappointed, like I said, I haven't had tacos in a while so I had high expectations. Meat lacked flavor, felt very oily and was chewy. They brought me salsa verde but it was quite spicy. I asked for salt but that never came. Luckily my husband gave me his pico de gallo and that added flavor. They weren't bad, but I've had much better. I know not to order the tacos next time. Service was good, our waitress was attentive and helpful. I asked for the salt to another waitress passing by, I guess she never told our lady. Decor is very Mexican restaurant, nothing noteworthy. The place does feel homey and mom and pops. I do like this. Once you enter the building, on the left is a high top tables and a full bar offering top shelf cocktails and premium tequila. To the right is a small dining area. After a wet and fun day at the Renaissance Fair we were looking forward to a hearty dinner and we weren't disappointed. As soon as we sat down we were given a basket of warm chips and a very tasty chunky salsa. The menu is huge and it took a little while to decide what to order from all of the tempting choices. I ended up with chicken taquitos, a deep fried rolled up tortilla stuffed with chicken and cheese an served with guacamole and sour cream. My daughter ordered a chicken fajita quesadilla which combines the best of the two dishes. The food was delicious and portions are massive. We both had plenty of leftovers to take home. My favorite Mexican restaurant is Azteca D' Oro by UCF in Orlando. This is the first restaurant I have found in Broward that approaches their quality of food. Best of all it's not three hours away. We enjoyed our food and service is fast and friendly. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area but they have what it takes to stand out.
