Brisket sandwich, made myself stop to take a picture - managed not to drool on the picture
    John B.

Had a meal from them at the Barking Armadillo. Just from the smell, we knew it was going to be good, and we weren't disappointed! I was proud of myself remembering to take a picture of my sandwich before digging in, was too late for the Hop Queen's pulled pork, she already attacked hers as soon as she got it. This is real home cooked BBQ, super moist, super flavourful, with some of the best bark I've had in a long time - makes me envious when I think of my home smoked Q, gives me a goal to shoot for. It was so good we ended up buying a couple of pounds to take home. The sauce provided with it was stand out as well, we now keep an eye out for the next time they're around, and will plan our tap room excursions to get more!

OMG! Phenomenal! Finally found an amazing bbq joint around N. Austin/Georgetown! This place is up there, and I've eaten at Louie Mueller, Interstellar, Terry Blacks, etc. The bark on the brisket was like a meteorite, it was moist and the flavor was awesome! The ribs were great and the frito pie was . Excited to go back!

This is an easy 5 star review. Pat has arguably the best brisket in Georgetown. It's without a doubt my favorite. The brisket sausage is awesome. The brisket Frito pie will fill you up and Pat doesn't skimp on the brisket. The beans are my favorite side and the food truck is always near a local brewery so you can pair it with great drinks. There are always random additions to the menu such as brisket burgers. This is a local business that should definitely be supported. Looking forward to more great bbq.

Sausage sandwich with pickled onions and potato salad

Absolutely wonderful... Saw that they were at the brewery over here off inner loop and was a good day for some barbecue. Got this sausage sandwich with the potato salad which I'm very picky about and it was right on! Good stuff people good stuff

Melt in your mouth pulled pork, pinto beans and fresh green beans.

Big flavor and big portions from a small food truck! Some of the moistest pulled pork you will ever eat. Melts like butter. Two words: Brisket sausage! Nice and peppery with a great smoky flavor. All of the sides are on point as well. Vinegar based coleslaw helps cut the richness of the smoked meats, homemade potato salad and excellent beans and the green beans are fresh. We happened to catch them at Barking Armadillo Brewing in Georgetown. Glad we did. Highly recommended!

Brisket sausage. Yeah, that's a thing.

I was visiting my besties in Georgetown and they wouldn't let me visit without feeding me as well…read more We decided to get takeout BBQ and this was their local spot close to their house. I was excited to try it because we all know, the Hill Country has some of the best BBQ in the state. The restaurant itself sits in a huge shopping complex and can easily be missed if you're not paying attention. The restaurant is counter service and not too big. It seemed like they did more pick up orders than actual people dining in. They have quite a few locations scattered around Texas so they must be doing something right. My friend did the pick up so I can't speak on the customer service. My friend ordered a smaller family pack which was a perfect amount of food for the amount of people eating. It came with 2 pounds of up to 3 meats and 3 pints of sides. It also came with all the fixins' like bread, sauce, onion and pickles. We got brisket, sausage and pork ribs along with mac & cheese, green beans and potato salad. The meal was not bad by any means, but it's not that top tier BBQ you come to expect in Texas. It's more of the backyard cookout BBQ. I've been spoiling myself and checking out the Texas Monthly Top 50 and Michelin star spots recently and this is not that. Respectable 'que though! The brisket didn't have that delicious bark or a prominent smoke ring, but there was flavor. The ribs didn't fall off the bone and these days, everybody is talking about that tenderism. This didn't have that, but again, tasty. The sausage was probably my favorite meat. It was sliced super thing which isn't my favorite kind of slice, but it packed flavor. The sides were ok, nothing to write home about. If you're looking to satisfy a quick BBQ craving, this place can be a great choice for your local neighborhood spot. I wouldn't go out of my way to get back here but would happily come back if in the immediate area.

When I opened the platter I was shocked to see how little meat was in there and the quality of the meat was a bit scrappy. :( I was also disappointed to see that the pint of potato salad that I had paid for was missing a whole scoop off of the top. I was looking forward to having all of the potato salad that I paid for. I'm not sure if it was because it was towards the end of the day or if the quality and service have just declined that much, but I don't think I will be ordering from smoky Mo's again, unfortunately.

Usually, I get the chicken and dumplings. I was celebrating getting a new job so, I got the ribeye. I ordered it medium rare. Unfortunately, the cut wasn't good. It was thin and had thick gristle, throughout. I assumed that I would need salt. I asked for flakey salt. The sweet waitress/bartender, brought me kosher salt in a nice container. The salt helped! However, the steak was too far gone to help. It was closer to medium and, again, the cut was bad. (Note: I didn't complain! I'm sure that if I would have, they would have done anything to correct it!) The positives? The green beans were AMAZING! Still a bit crispy and tasted great! The mashed potato's were good. I ordered an Old Fashioned. It was wonderful! The service couldn't have been better! I love the bar side of Wildfire! The seating can be private or meant for people watching. It's very comfortable! All in all, this is the place to go! The service is always amazing! I didn't enjoy the ribeye but, I'm a steak snob. Wildfire will always be my "go to" spot! Sit in the bar area and you will get the best service! Edit to say that the regular bartender is fantastic! He always has been!

Awful customer service. Especially when making reservations…read more I go here a lot, because I like dry aged steak, but I can't get over the customer service around reservations. As a combat vet, I feel uncomfortable AF eating in the middle of a tiny and cramped dining room. The dining room is so small and packed here that I'm surprised that the fire marshal even allows that many people to be sat in there. Still, when I ask for a booth and say that I don't want to eat in the middle of that tiny dining room when I make a reservation, I find it odd to be sat in the middle of the dining dining room only to see that there's multiple parties that were just sat in booths and haven't even gotten their drinks yet--like, they were just sat before us (and we were on time for our reservation). I think you could have a little more respect for your customers is all. For that reason alone, you're not worth the price of your half-baked pretense in my opinion. You get a one-star for that reason alone. On the quality front, the ribeyes I get are more and more consistently riddled with connective tissue and are hard to eat, with a lot of waste. Not exactly the quality of meat cut one expects for the price. Sometimes they nail it, but I'd say at least a third of the time my ribeyes are almost half scrap. The quality seems to be diminishing since I first started frequenting this place. So, perhaps your supplier sucks. Idk. Pick your meat better if you want to demand higher prices. I think I'll stop coming back at this point. 2020 Market has good steak, too. Only I haven't dealt with so much connective tissue in my steak there. And also, I haven't had issues with my reservations there. So you lose me to your competition after having gotten so much money out of me. Consistent quality and customer service could maintain such consistent regular customers in your sales. What a weird way to lose customers. Your whole business is customer service and cooking food well. Do better.
