We were in the mood for pizza so we decided on Pats. Place was pretty busy in the bar area. Found a nice table in the center of the room. The inside is warm and inviting. TV's are all around the room. Great for watching sports. We ordered a 9 in. meat lovers pizza which came out on a dinner plate. Crust was on the soft side. I like it more crispy and the topping were over cooked. Sauce was flavorful. We also ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. The meat sauce was delicious however the pasta had no flavor. My husband and I arrived at the restaurant to have a quick bite. We are not from the area and we're just passing through. We walked in to sit down and waited before any server stopped by to give us menus. Another couple came in and sat after us and got immediate service. The difference between them and us was that they were a Caucasian couple, I am a mixed person and my husband is Caucasian. It was very obvious we were not being given as much service based on my visible appearance. The server wouldn't speak to me or really look in my eye. We did stay as it was getting late and we needed to have something to eat before getting back on the road. Ripped off by a dishonest waitress who applied very high pressure to order the $39 lobster sliders instead of the $19 lobster rolls we specifically came for. Paid a lot only to get far less than just going to Hannafords down the street and picking up $10 lobster rolls from the deli where we wouldn't have had to wait while our wooden booth was being kicked constantly by loud unruly children being ignored by their inattentive parents in the adjacent booths. Nice spot for pub grub. I had a tuna Italian that was absolutely huge! I could only eat half of it. It was so full that I could not eat it as a sandwich, but had to cut it up to get it in my mouth. Not a bad problem. The tuna tasted very fresh and did not have a lot of mayonnaise overwhelming it. Lots of fresh vegetables on it as well. I work in Yarmouth, so I'm constantly looking for somewhere to grab lunch. I would go here quite frequently, but the last few times the service has been very subpar. I'll order a cold sandwich, and wait. While waiting I see several girls just gossiping near my sandwich, for about 10 minutes until someone else came over and finished the sandwich. We wanted something different from our routine and this was perfect. It's easy to get to on and off of 295...just a little bridge construction. We ordered via their online site - SOOOO EASY and they provide an estimated time for pick up. We arrived based on the estimated time and it was within a minute of being correct!! Amazing. The service was friendly and quick. Truly felt like a nice small town restaurant. Employees seemed like a happy family, which comes through with their customer service. Everything was neatly packed and prepared. The only thing with take out is salads, next to hot food, is never a great thing. All restaurants do that. Fish and Chips - great portion. Quality was ok. It tasted more mass produced, rather than a fresh catch that was freshly breaded and fried. it was ok...it was comfort food, that I needed. I decided to sub waffle fries...they were good. Went to Pat's pizza for ice cream. They have an ice cream window outside featuring Gifford's Ice cream. I order a one scoop Black raspberry on a sugar cone. Well I did get a "small" cone for sure. Pat's in Yarmouth is a locals spot done right. Just order a cheese steak made however you like it and a beer, and you'll leave happy. Loaded cheese steak is my go to for a reason. If you're feeling touristy, have the best priced classic lobsta roll in town. Wings come in lots of varieties and are always big and meaty and delicious. I tried the bourbon style for the first time and highly recommend them. Salads are large, tasty, and sometimes a bit hit or miss with the ingredients...when they don't have something on hand they skip it. But seriously- a good salad at a pizza place? Can't miss. Oddly I rarely order pizza at Pats Pizza, so I can't comment. Pat's has great food specials every day. Just order whatever it is if you must resist the cheese steak. Order in and watch any local sports team on one of many screens in the bar and restaurant. Sit at the bar and get a solid pour for your favorite cocktail with a bartender that knows everyone's name. Just don't take a locals seat by mistake:-) Local beer selections on tap, plus the basics, priced fairly- no $12 IPAs here. I love the low carb pizza crust. It comes in one size (personal sized) and is very good. I love to get the Meat Lovers pizza on low carb crust. Two people could split with a salad but I believe it's more of an individual sized pizza which you may take a slice or 2 home. They also offer a cauliflower crust version which I have not tried and not sure the carb count. They have something here for everyone. Lots of salad options, nachos looked yummy, chalkboard daily specials with soups, seafood and hearty meals. Their mozzarella sticks may be the best I ever had. The outside is so hard and crispy with lots of yummy sauce. Parking may look tough esp during ice cream season but to the right of the restaurant is another lane of parking that can be hidden. read more

Simply, don't bother. Ordered a "specialty" pizza, with caramelized onions and black olives added - and made it clear to the bartender I wanted it "almost burnt" when served. Well - The pizza was awful, way undercooked, RAW DOUGH EVEN. The outer crust wasn't even crispy. I finally flagged down the barmaid, and showed her what was delivered while she was busy chatting up the locals. She was like, looks ok to me.... and went back to BS'ing with the folks she knows by name. The next thing I know - the lady sitting next to me pipes up that she was the former kitchen manager here for 16 years.... and the reason my pizza was "WET" is that I never should have ordered pineapple as a topping..... Did not order (or have) pineapple.. as a topping. They were caramelized onion. Thanked her for the expert opinion... I jokingly asked her what the operating costs (food and labor costs) while she ran the joint; she had no idea what I was even talking about. That alone speaks volumes. 16 years as the kitchen manager, and telling a complete stranger their onions are pineapple - to cover for this abomination. Positive Pie makes good pizza, Flatbread makes good pizza. Pat's make excuses for their tasteless frozen, half-cooked; covered with sauce from a can, and imitation cheese blend all for $25. We stopped in here because we were in the area for an event and we were familiar with the chain. I didn't give a thought about it being a Sunday afternoon during the NFL season, but it wasn't a problem. There were screens everywhere, of course, highlighting two of the local favorites: the New Your Giants and New England Patriots. There was an occasional soft roar when good things happened for those teams, as they were both winning, but not disruptive as the volumes were turned down on the TVs. They let us seat ourselves and there were several tables available. The speed of service wasn't much effected by the football crowd either. We shared an appetizer order of potato skins and then shared a calzone. The dough was a bit different from what I was used to in a calzone; basically it was a small pizza dough folded in half, she told us. It was okay. It was slightly better than average pub grub, and as it is a Maine chain, I am glad to choose them over a national chain for the same sort of fare. read more

Worst service and experience EVER! Highly do not recommend! Submitted an order online at about 8:30 scheduled for 9pm pick up. Got a confirmation that the food was ready around 8:50pm. Arrived at the location for pick up a little over 9 and not only did they not have our food but no one held accountable for the food. Had to run back to get the copy of the receipt from the order. Turns out, another individual walked out with our order and all that was said was "sorry". Waited additional time to remake the order and finally got it about 9:40. Due to our situation, we were not able to eat the food until shortly after when we noticed it was not fully cooked! We called to speak to a manager in which we were told someone would call to follow up in the am around 11am. From 5am to the end of the next day, I was extremely sick ! We followed up a call at about 1pm and was informed that the manager was too busy to talk. I spoke to a female employee who expressed that no refunds are given but store credit would be given. I explained that due to the experience, I do not feel comfortable ordering food there again as I for badly sick. I was then asked if I would like a manager to call back as the location would not be able to give a refund. Around 2:30pm I get a call from the manager ( Shannon or whatever ). She proceeded to express that she did not believe that the food was not fully cooked as she checked it herself and the wings are pre baked and cooked. She expressed that she specifically checked that batch and it was fine. She then proceeded to inform me that " nothing will make you happy". She proceeded to insult me as a guest and continue to argue. There was no sympathy from either the employee or the manager. No one took ownership of the error on the restaurants side for handing out the wrong item and continuously expressed that this was not there fault. In addition to this, food quality was POOR AND NOT COOKED! Attached to Pat's Pizza, there is a Gifford's Famous Ice Cream. On our road trip from Boston, MA to Canada, this was one of the most conveniently located Gifford's, and since it's famous :), I really wanted to stop there. There was an outside window for ice cream, but since it was September, you had to go inside Pat's to order ice cream. It was a warm day, and they didn't seem prepared for the number of people ordering ice cream. We tried a Strawberry Oreo Storm Extreme Maine Mud. If you haven't had a Maine Mud before, it apparently is just like a Dairy Queen Blizzard. After many bad experiences I'm finally leaving a review. I ordered a large chocolate frappe, their equivalent to a milkshake. It is not blended at all. The service is HIGHLY dependent on tipping. If you do not tip at the ice cream window, you will get either a smaller portion, or a bad excuse of an order (sample size of 10 separate ice cream outings). The Pat's Pizza family of restaurants is an interesting collection of establishments here in Maine. I am not sure how they are all interconnected since each one seems to have their own style, setup and in some cases even the menus are different. Most peculiar is the fact that they range wildly in quality. My wife and I love the original in Orono and give solid marks to Auburn and this location in Yarmouth. Some other locations are terrible The menu at this location is one of the more extensive and the space is much more of a sports bar than other location. The pizza here is a good, basic bar style pizza. The crust is decent but definitely can get a bit soggy if you get too many toppings. My wife loves the bacon pizza! The service was pleasant and efficient. There is nothing here that will blow you away but it is a solid choice and we go here often. read more

Pat's has been our go to pizza place for many years up to now. For a long while it has been below the usual standard. We order a large pepperoni (it used to be weekly). The last several orders had much less cheese and not only smaller pepperoni but much fewer. Our last order had a lot less cheese and only 7 pepperoni. Server didn't even try to be friendly. 3 glasses of house wine took 15 mins to deliver. Lunch came 30 mins later. One friend's gluten free Margharita had no sauce or cheese. A "new" one was delivered- was the same pizza now burned on edges with sprinkle of cheese, still no sauce. Barely any topping. We asked for it to be taken off the bill. My eggplant parm sub had only two ¹/²-inch slices of eggplant. My other friend asked for another dressing 3 times, gave up. Manager took 20% off total bill for the "pizza" so 2 stars for that. The Pats Combo stuck out as something different, so I went for it. It's surprisingly good for as odd at the ingredients are. Who would of thought pickles on a pizza? But really this monster can stand in a league of its own. If your looking for different, this za if for you. So of course, hungover and my eyes being bigger than my stomach, I also opted for Italian sub. This is the same as every other one in the area, which I wanted and appreciate. I knew what to expect. Everything was fresh, even had nicely crisp veggies on it that would put a water chestnut to shame. One down fall. I woke up and ordered at 2pm. Delivery does not start until 4 and arrived at 4:50. I knew this an was prepared to wait, but wish it didn't have to be that way. Sometimes, local places that cater to the masses are assumed to be of lesser quality of both ingredients and preparation than those of more 'refined' restaurants. Pat's pizza has been a mainstay in Yarmouth for many years and had been an iconic Maine eatery for well, almost forever. I will not retell the history of Pat's because my concern is the quality and taste of the meals I've ordered over the years and specifically, tonight's eggplant parmesan dinner. Now I really like their pizzas, particularly their Monday-Wednesday large pizza special for cheese or pepperoni at about $7.99. But I really am a fan of their fresh veggie pizza of broccoli, mushroom, and tomato. But that's for a different review. Eggplant parmesan is an Italian American dish that can be made delicately or hearty. It can be baked, fried, or sauteed. For my taste, when I want eggplant parmesan, I always want fried eggplant which is crispy on the edges, drowned in classic red sauce, and topped with mozzarella cheese which has been well melted and maybe browned. Of course the name has parmesan in so I guess it should have that in it too. Ok, Pat's eggplant parmesan dinner is all of that. It's served hot, with a nicely toasted roll, and a small house salad with their house dressing which I would never change. It's not classically Italian but it's really good. I remember a few years ago when one of the very many local youth they employ asked one of the owners if she could toss some of what she perceived to be less than fresh lettuce. He said 'Absolutely'. I knew then that this was a place for me because of the quality control. Oh yes, the price. As you can hopefully see, the HUGE portion of eggplant parmesan over spaghetti with a grilled roll and a salad costs...get ready for this...$9.61 with tax. Delicate? Refined? I'm a local but ever since Covid began my husband and I have been basically just eating at home, even though I always loved Pats Pizza and we have been ordering to go for the past ten years and always thought the pizzas were far superior to others we have tried..... but, something has happened to this Pats. Last night I ordered a Pizza that was the worst pizza I have ever tasted! We're kind of stuck on one combination which is pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, Greek olives and anchovies (only on my side :-) . This pizza must have had a whole can of anchovies on one side (cheap ones too) and all the rest, but hardly any sauce and very little cheese. It was almost like someone was doing a "joke" pizza. We ordered one about 6 months ago and commented that it wasn't quite the same as usual, so something is happening there, no supervision maybe, or no trial runs with staff to make sure everything is up to par. While I was waiting for the pizza to be boxed, the young lady scooped my pizza off the pan with a large metal spatula into the box, then dropped the spatula on the floor she picked it up and put it back on the counter but the next girl came along and used it to scoop up another pizza for someone else, certainly made me shudder. We've been in Yarmouth for 7+ years and have always loved Pats. Recently, I was diagnosed with Celiac which effectively took Pats off my list (family still loves and orders all the time). We went in to eat yesterday and I was stressed about needing to find something safe to eat. I ordered the nachos with chicken and let server know I couldn't have gluten, I didn't tell her why. She was amazing and asked the kitchen about gluten in the nachos. Not one but two ladies came out of the kitchen to explain to me that the cheese they served with the nachos had gluten in it. They searched for cheese options and came back out to verify it was ok. It was above and beyond and I was so grateful. It would've been easy for them to ignore it or assume it was safe but instead they made sure that I had a safe meal to eat. It's stressful being a new celiac and learning what I can/cannot eat (gluten is hiding in a lot of things). Additionally, it's hard not to be able to eat at the places that I've always loved. I was beyond impressed and grateful. Oh and the nachos were fantastic. Pre-celiac their cheese breadsticks are to die for, probably the thing I miss the most. read more

Given I have only eaten her twice, I would give them another try. I have been to the Pat's Pizza in Orono, Auburn, Scarborough and the Old Port in downtown Portland (which is my favorite by the way). This location on the outskirts of Yarmouth was pretty good! I like the food at Pat's in general and this trip did not disappoint on a busy Sunday. We ordered the chicken nachos and the jalapeno poppers for appetisers for our large group and, although you could tell the poppers were frozen, they still were pretty tasty. The chicken nachos were very good also with lots of veggies on the plate to give some extra flavor and depth to the plate. A buddy of mine and I split a large flatbread pizza and it was delicious like normal with a slight difference than what I am used to with Pat's ... the crust was a bit more doughy than I am used to and I am a usual fan of the crust having a little crunch on the outside. The main drawback is the fact that we had a large party and we wanted to listen to the Bruins playoff game and they told us that the volume is not allowed to be turned up here because it was a family restaurant. (I think that volume was up on the bar side of the house). Any of the other Pats I have been to have the sports games loud and proud so this was slightly dissapointing seeing as this was a large group we brought to the restaurant to partake in the game and celebrate a friends birthday.
