Located in the plaza that also holds Northside Wines and Spirits, as well as Five Guys, Pat's Pizzeria is in the storefront that used to be home to Mark's Pizzeria. I ordered from here recently for a friend and myself... a couple different items to appease our cravings during a night at home. Unfortunately, both items were lacking. The meatball sub for my friend was mostly bread with very little meatball goodness inside... and my calzone was the same (very flat and doughy, scarce ingredients inside, and very little flavor). The garlic knots that we ordered to split were fine, though floating in a sea of butter at the bottom of the to go box. Without moving them aside, they would have turned to garlicky knots of mush super quickly, and nobody wants knots of mush... amirite? TL;DR I've definitely experienced better. It's certainly not a fine dining experience but this is one of our go-to take-out pizza spots in Ithaca, perhaps arguably next to Franco's. We love the Old World and I'm a sucker for the BBQ chicken (although it is quite sweet!). Have ordered from here multiple times and the food has always been consistently tasty! We like Buffalo-style pizza and this is the best comp we've found in Ithaca. read more

Good pizza & wings, crap service. Every single time I've been here, not one time have I been greeted by an employee. They will be 10ft away not doing much of anything & ignore your presence for as long as they'd like. One kid has never not been stoned when I order food. How hard can it be to ensure an order contains the main item, a calzone, and a second item, a pasta dish, includes its requested side of meatballs. The other two sides I had added to the pasta were spinach and mushrooms. I'd need a magnifying glass to guarantee they were there. It got here fast via Ithaca to Go, but the food was room-temp cold. The food was generally greasy, the quality of the ingredients mediocre at best for the price. I rarely leave bad reviews, but Pat's Pizzeria, you're not even trying. Sadly, their customer service is greatly lacking. They sent the wrong pizza to us, and when we asked if they could send the correct pizza out, they refused. I requested they refund the price of the incorrect pizza, and they said they were not able to do that either. Very disappointing. Update: Later they said that any refunds would have to go through Ithaca-to-Go. This is not what they said on the phone; at that point they said they couldn't do anything because the GM wasn't there. read more

I just ordered a calzone and garlic bread. With Root beer it came to almost $30. What I received was more like two slices of stuffed pizza and it wasn't that well stuffed and the ingredients were mediocre at best. Their ricotta tasted like cream cheese and they probably only threw a tablespoon or two in. I asked for spinach and ham and I can find about three shreds of spinach in it and the ham looks like the pre-package cube ham they put in 7-Eleven salads. The whole thing was generally disgusting. The dough was like eating a cheap Walmart sheet cake. The size was absolutely ridiculous for the price they made it out of A 12 inch pizza dough and the same for the garlic bread. You couldn't pay me enough to eat at this place again. The kids making the food we're friendly and seemed pretty sharp but that's absolutely the best thing I can say about this place. Definitely a one out of 10. An absolute zero for value. I've owned restaurants and eaten at least hundreds of good New York calzones and this place wasn't even in the same shooting range and never mind missing the mark. this is incredibly disappointing because Ithaca used to be full of great Italian food. Pizza is the best I've had in Ithaca, but the service has been consistently lacking. Within the past month, we've had delivery issues "because they only had one driver,". On this particular evening, after 2 1/2 hours of waiting, I chose to cancel my order. They simply told me that they didn't know when my order would arrive. I discovered that the service in the store, when no other customers were present, wasn't any better. The pizza is delicious. They always have at least cheese and pepperoni ready to go, so if you asked for a slice they will just heat it up for you and be ready in a jiffy. The only thing that I would add to it was at the water fountain so you could actually get free water instead of having to purchase a drink where you are. I find it's quite annoying to have to purchase plastic every time I go in. Then again, the pizza is delicious, and their selection of drinks it's pretty decent.Their calzones are to die for, And they are so massive that whenever I order one, are usually get at least two meals out of it, if not three. This place was awesome. We ordered the stuffed bread with pepperoni, bacon, and ham, and OMG it was so good!!! Cooked and seasoned to perfection! We also ordered boneless garlic Parmesan wings and chicken fingers for my kids. I'm not like 100% sure but it seemed like real chicken (not frozen/pre packaged) and was breaded perfectly. Would definitely come back and would encourage everyone to grab a quick bite Update: we ate here again and the food was not as good as we remember. The pizza was way to saucy and greasy, the boneless wings were dripping in grease, the pizza was just not very flavorful. A little disappointed. I stopped on the way home from work to pick up a pizza, thinking i was at a pizzeria that previously occupied the space now holding Pat's, expecting not much. I was very pleasantly surprised by a handmade chewy crust, and a well topped half red sauce and cheese for my 11 year old and a white sauce with mushrooms and spinach for me. The sauce was pleasantly herbed, the mushrooms were not canned, and appeared to have been sauteed. The spinach was fresh. All good. My daughter gave a review that was difficult to understand (her mouth was full). The staff was courteous and efficient. Thumbs up from both of us. read more

Needed a large ordered delivered to Cornell. Had many pizza places to choose from. Since Pats has been friendly in past, thought I would give them a try. Placed a $180 order for Saturday night delivery. Delivery person had wrong address, no sign on their car, and cell phone battery was dead. Showed up 25 minutes late. How can a pizza place send out a driver without a sign on their car or a working cell phone. Hard to believe. I called multiple times in days following looking for explanation, never heard back from manager or owner. Pizza itself was fine but reliability gets a two thumbs down. Same for common sense.
