The combo plate was generous and beautifully presented. Service on Sunday was a little rough -- they had just opened and were clearly still getting into gear -- but honestly, the food made up for it and I wasn't in a rush to hold it against them. Wild Rice is a solid, unpretentious neighborhood sushi spot with great prices and fresh fish. For Fairfield, it punches above its weight. I also had the spicy miso which hit all the spots: warm, flavorful, fresh, and so nourishing and comforting. I consumed all of the broth and was able to get additinal broth to take home with my leftovers for $7. Service was so friendly and accomodating...so great to have such a level of attentiveness and genuine good service. Excellent staff. The entire place, including the restroom was super clean. She gave us some time to socialize, choose our meals and looked after us as if we were her only table (while taking care of a couple other tables at the same time). What made the experience worse was the lack of apology or urgency from the staff, especially since the restaurant wasn't even busy.
