The absolute worst pierogies we have ever had. Over priced bland and mushy food. The place itself is a garbage hole. Filthy dirty and the bathrooms are gross. I've been a closet TripleD fan for years but never been to a single Guy-Approved joint. In addition, I've never eaten Polish food. Our waitress was the one dressed up in the Pierogi suit during the episode. Geez, a regular personality. My dining partner and I went with the Pattiis Platter. By far the best Polish food you'll find in the area! My dad and I made the trek up to Fall River, which is always an adventure in itself, and decided to give Patti's a taste. YUM. It's not very impressive from the road, a tiny restaurant with some parking in front. The inside won't wow you either, but it's clean and cozy, with some Polish paraphernalia. The food here is what will keep you coming back. The selection and choices of pierogies are what caught my eye: traditional, potato and cheese, sauerkraut, kielbasa and cheddar, farmer's cheese, pulled pork, spinach and feta, chourico, steak and cheese, MAC and CHEESE!! You can pay by the individual pierogi or by the half dozen or dozen, so you can opt to mix up some traditional ones with some modern ones! I tried a very traditional ones and the mac and cheese and pulled pork and all were hot, fresh, and delicious! And, to top if off, they have DESSERT pierogies! Blueberry, cherry, apple cinnamon, smores, pb & j, cookie dough, brownie walnut, and more! Delicious! Aside from pierogies, be sure to try the other Polish specialities---golumki, kielbasa, and a variety of combination plates that allow you to try a bit of each! Friendly staff, attentive and great food! The parking lot was full but we were able to find street parking right across the street. We had the sweet and sour kielbasa and bacon wrapped pierogis for apps, both which were loved! I had the polish sangria which was a bit to sweet for my liking but still yummy. I ordered a #1 and my husband and Jorge rob law shared a Joshua, which was just a #1 for two. It was a lot of food, we could have gotten away sharing the Joshua between the three of us. I had an appointment in Somerset, and remembered this restaurant was on "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives". From the name of the square the restaurant is in, and names of surrounding buildings, Patti's Pierogis seems like it's in an area formerly predominated by Eastern Europeans. This interpretation of Polish food by Patti's is venerable and worth holding onto. I went for the two cabbage pierogi, golabki, and kielbasa plate. For what you get, the price isn't too bad. The kaputsa (cabbage soup) that started it all off was surprisingly good. The soup wasn't too sour, and had some depth of flavor, which means it wasn't like drinking hot pickle juice. The golabki (cabbage roll) was probably designed as a filler, because it wasn't much more than that. Perhaps it's overshadowed in flavor by the pierogi and kielbasa, but it just didn't have much taste to it. At least it was big. The rice and meat filling inside, again, didn't have much savoriness to it. The kielbasa...definitely not like that tube of salt Hilshire Farms is. It's more mild; definitely more like a knockwurst. But the kielbasa tasted delicious and had a snap to it. Lastly, the pierogis were very good, but a little puzzling. The cabbage inside was really flavorful and would definitely eat this again. However, of the two pierogis I had, one was really soft around and one had firmer exterior, I don't know if that was the intention but both still tasted good in their own way. I don't usually gush about service but it was impeccable here. Olivia Rose was fantastic: not too intrusive but still readily available to help. She was calm and made you feel comfortable, while still trying to sell what's good on the menu. You didn't feel rushed when eating there, and Olivia was really sweet. She pushed this review to the 5-star realm, because merely average (or even a bit above average) service would've kept this at 4. Well, Guy Fieri, your restaurant in New York may suck (a train wreck I'd be open to trying some day), but at least your selection of a Fall River Polish restaurant doesn't. read more

An unparalleled culinary experience in south end Fall River. How many ways can you serve/adapt/grind kielbasa? Let's just say more than one; you'll just have to come to Patti's to find out. The menu is an adventure all by itself. Nothing will get you in the mood for meat-and-pierogis like Keno cards and a tub of beer mustard atop a checkered tablecloth with The Pennsylvania Polka serenading you in the background. Na Zdrowie! The polish beer, Okocim, was a perfect accompaniment to the heartiest lunch of my life. You must get a side of the house-made pickled beets to your golabkis and pierogis. My wife and I ate here with my family the other day for lunch. Walking in, restaurant was a bit dreary and dated, so would be great to brighten up the space a bit. I got a polish beer which was a nice hoppy dark beer. We split the pierogi platter (12 pierogis, a small kielbasa, and two golumbkis) with a side of sautéed onions and sour cream which was not included with the order. Side order of onions were burned and the sour cream was served as a single use prepackaged container. For an extra charge, not worthwhile getting anything else since they didn't improve the dish. The golumbkis (rice and meat wrapped in cabbage with tomato sauce) were good, but could've used a bit more sauce than was given. Pierogis were the star, but of the ones we got, some were hits (potato pierogi and Portuguese pierogi) and others were complete misses (cabbage pierogi and the spinach pierogi). Would be great if you could customize the platter in the Patti's platter option. Overall decent experience and unique as there are no other polish restaurants in the south shore like this, but not sure we'd return. read more

When I went to Eastern Europe, I lost weight. It was THAT bad. We stumbled across Patti's on a random day trip and I was skeptical, especially when you walk in and see the decor that is suspended in time. But this place is a small town neighborhood restaurant, the menu and service are simple, the people are friendly, and Patti Is actually there cooking and meeting the customers. And the FOOD... - Bread - OK if you like pumpernickel - Cabbage soup - simple but savory... bc it's cooked in Kielbasa water! - Pierogis - Best I've had, crisp thin skin, creamy potato and cheesy but not heavy. My friends sampled about a half dozen other flavors and they thought nearly all were delicious. All made fresh. - Stuffed cabbage - The best version I ever had, not too heavy, but it's not small, so stick with one! - Kielbasa - Not too salty or fatty, perfect w the Polish Kosciusko beer mustard - Beets - Average - Pickles - I didn't have but friends loved them - Dessert Pierogis - Who would have thought Pierogis for dessert? Tried the apple cranberry, choco cherry, and apple, all were good, but fave was my choco chip cookie dough a la mode! Yummy! $24/per person after tax and tip (that includes drinks and buying 2 bottles of the Polish mustard). If you don't go crazy like we do, you can get an awesome meal for under $15. And they take suggestions for new Pierogis. I know the locals love this place bc by the time we got there around 2 they had sold out of about half their varieties. After a while even the Polka grows on you. I never thought I would consider driving an hour for Polish food, but I would happily do it for Patti's: not just great Polish food, but great food period. read more

An amazing little gem in Fall River. We circled the block a few times because there are only a handful of parking places in Patti's parking lot. It seemed the cars never moved! Everyone was in for the long haul with their "after church Pierogi" lunch. Don't worry though, there is plenty of on street parking. We got there around 2 last Sunday and had done a bit of research in advance. Let me note that Patti's website doesn't do the menu justice (I added some photos of the menu). Also, call Patti's to check the hours - there is a handy voicemail greeting in which Patti states her hours. I'm a part Polish girl who never really liked her Grandma J's cooking (I know, shame on me). My friend wanted to check it out so we decided to make the adventure. We scoured the menu and decided that the the best way to get the full experience of Patti's was to get the International Platter (2 each of 6 flavors of pierogi for $15), and side orders of kielbasa, and Golabki. We ordered dessert to go - Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Pierogi (2 per order). It took a little while for the food to come out and the staff was apologetic. Apparently we were ordering just after a big rush, so the grill was full. We listened to the polka music and people watched. There are several beer on tap and they are served in those awesome Oktoberfest style bubble mugs. The food arrived and it was amazing! Hearty. Filling. Tasty. Made with love. A treat requiring a long nap afterwards. I loved the kielbasa - served with a beer mustard! The potato/cheese and cabbage/pork pierogis were my favorite. We couldn't finish it all, so it was wrapped up in takeout containers. Leftovers and take-out won't do this place justice. Microwaving a pierogi just destroys it. Just bring your appetite and eat it all at Patti's. Sit on a bar stool, play your keno numbers, and watch the world go by. A great way to spend the afternoon. read more

So delicious! Went here last night with 5 friends, we made a reservation and sat right down when we arrived. Perogie plates are great for sharing and we shared everything! My favs were Potato and Cheese, Mac n Cheese, and for desert my favorite was Peanut Butter and Fluff. The International sampler sounds good, I'd like to try that next time. Service was great! Anyway today they definitely stepped it up from my first experience woo it was awesome. I have lived in Fall River for about 5 years, and only recently a co-worker asked me if I have ever been to Patti's. I said, I never heard of it. I'll have to try it out. My co-worker told me, make sure you are ready to wait, because this place is busy. So, with that in mind we went around 4pm on a Sunday. We were the only party in the dinning area. The waitress was friendly, and attentive. A little too much, we found ourselves feeling a little like an animal in a cage at some points during our dinner. The place is dark, and the polish music was not overbearing. When the Bada Bing Pierogi came to the table, I said to myself, what the heck is that? However, to my surprise the pierogi's were incredible. The flavor was spot on. My co-worker was right, I can see how this place fills up quickly. This is a must visit, and we will again. read more

Our service wasn't perfect but five stars because the food was. I grew up eating Polish food and hadn't had homemade pierogies since I was little. I checked the menu before driving to Fall River and was excited about all of the different varieties of pierogies offered - everything from the traditional potato and cheese to mac and cheese! (My grandma would not have made mac and cheese piergoies, let me tell you.) I chose a few appetizers and a variety of pierogies. My husband did the same and added kielbasa. Everything was amazing - from the traditional cucumber salad appetizer to the many different flavors of pierogies, I left stuffed, nostalgic, and completely satisfied. Patti's is a great place for great polish food, as defined by an American of Irish-Italian-Swiss heritage. Eh? But in all seriousness, the food is great, and the wait staff is friendly. They're a great place to take out from, as they open at 11:00 and get their pierogis ready before the dinner rush. I'd recommend being adventuresome with the varieties you order, as the plain pierogis are bland and not worth it. The Macaroni and Cheese pierogi is my favorite. The kielbasa is also worth getting if you're dining in. Another great thing about Patti's is that they sell really, really good marble rye bread for a really cheap price to anyone that asks. You'll never have to eat crappy sandwiches again. The only undesirable thing about Patti's is their ambiance. The celings are low, and the place is kept dark, so it's not really a desirable place to eat at until after dark, when it gets loud. Taking out gives you just as good of food, so don't be afraid to do so. All in all, a great place to go to take out lunch or eat in dinner. read more

OK i'm all about local charm from diners drive-ins and dives to the expensive boutique restaurant. Sometimes you just need to get off that freeway to the beach and go experience summer in the towns between --cold beer and awesome food that you never experienced before. Either on the way down or on the way back it's worth pulling off. find a spot and eat to your hearts content. everything on the menu is simply delicious and appears to be made to order. Places like these that are hidden gems. I call them tweaners -- the places in between where you're from and where you're going. They are the ones you jot down in your notebook and share with everybody else. They become the moment in your trip you end up talking about most. This is one of those tweaners. For the locals it seems to be a staple. Another sign you need to stop in. I'll be back and I'm bringing my friends and family each time I head to RI Beaches and Back. read more

Outstanding. They lived up to their Triple D hype. The pierogis were delicious and filling. I prefer Lithuanian kuldunai, but these are great. The golumpkis are equally good and are perfectly done. Filling, delicious, and they have just enough spice, not like the Hungarian version, but not sweet tomato either. Perfect! The Kielbasa? It's not the white kielbasa I prefer, but it's not that super red, over smoked stuff either. The girls on the phone said "lightly smoked". They were right. Amazing stuff. read more

What a great surprise. The waitresses were wonderful and I felt like I was back in my Babcia's house! The golumpki was incredible. The filling was so light and delicious. My only down side was there were some really odd perogi on the menu (I guess they were a nod to current taste, but I am very old fashioned and could not understand Mac and cheese in a perogi! ). I found the dough was a bit thick in my potato perogi. I will come back (many times) for the golumpki and would love to try the soup, too.
