Love this place. Marble rye partty

This place is unreal. They really need a store front. If they ever have their patty melt special on marble rye get it. See pics but it's a winner. Fries are the best in town as well and I don't even really like fries... wish they had ranch dressing though.

ROSEMARY FRIES DELICIOUS!!! (3.5 stars) Fancy mini ciabatta burgers--- i'd rather have hawaiin bread sliders.... They were good, but not quite worth the $ i spent on these little suckers. It wasn't super expensive overall, but the "you fancy huh" ingredients of gruyere, carmelized onions, vermouth and thyme (La Vie En Rose) and the Mood Indigo which had blue cheese and bacon, mushrooms and caramelized onions= just didn't mindblast me. I think the main problem was the burger was dry. I almost couldn't tell a huge difference between the two burgers i had except when i could taste the blue cheese in the Mood. My friend had a separate order of burgers as well and those were dry also. The Fries on the other hand, i would order again. Perfectly crispy with just enough sogg for soggy fry lovers like me. Lovely rosemary taste- simple and good. Don't plan on getting full here unless you order more than a couple of burgers and fries. Buddy Lucy Y said she got a juicy med rare burger in her route 66, so best to specify med rare to avoid getting a dry burger.

GF, some friends and I were all in Chinatown Saturday evening and what better way to end the night than to hit up the food trucks? I was really quite surprised by this truck. I love sliders (I have ever since I had my first White Castle back in Chi-Town) and by my standards on the slider scale (get it? Sliding scale...slider scale....sliders...ach...I need sleep) this one gets high marks. It was late and they were out of a few things that we really wanted to try, like anything with pancetta and bacon on it, so hopefully next time we'll get to sample the more porkalicious items off the menu. Overall a nice little surprise nestled in the almondine bosom of LA Chinatown. I'll be looking for this truck again. La Vie En Rose - 5 Stars (beef patty with Gruyere, caramelized onions, thyme and vermouth. Great flavor but a tad dry, probably due to the ciabatta soaking up much of the juices.) Route 66 - 5 Stars (beef patty with Amex Cheese, pickles, onions and home made ketchup. Much juicier than the other two.) Sunny Side Up - 3 Stars (gremolata on a ciabatta...say that one fast 10 times. Good but not great. Ciabatta made the burger seem dry.) Value - 3 Stars ($3.25 for a tiny burger, albeit a gourmet one, with no sides is about right, if not a tad pricy.) Parking - N/A Service - 4 Stars (nice, friendly, fast, but out of a few things.) Overall: 20 Stars / 5 = 4.0 Stars Rounded off to 4 Stars

Bf and I went to Chinatown Summer Nights tonight with a few friends, and led them directly to the food trucks! They wanted to try Let's Be Frank, so I indulged them - but after they were done, I walked straight to the Patty Wagon and placed MY order! Unfortunately since it was late, they were out of the components that make things porkalicious (pancetta and bacon). So this was my $10.75 order: 1 La Vie En Rose (special) - patty with gruyere and onions caramelized with thyme and vermouth 1 Route 66 (special) - American cheese, sweet pickles, onions, homemade ketchup - MY FAVE! 1 Keep Your Sunny Side Up - gremolata on a patty on ciabatta All the burgers were delish, but my fave was the Route 66 all the way!! It was the juiciest little baby burger, the cheese the meltiest, the patty a perfect medium rare, and the bun a brioche. With the ketchup and onions and pickles, this was a little bit O heaven! The other two burgers on mini ciabatta buns were darling too - the gremolata on the Sunny Side Up was flavorful and so were the onions and gruyere on the Vie En Rose. But the patties on these two were cooked more on the well done side, which is a little over for me. Had they NOT been out of the porky products, I would have (I tried to!) order the Mood Indigo Burger and the I Get A Kick Out Of You. Which means, of course, that I have a reason to be baaaaaaaack!!!

I got to try this at one of the private events and it's surprisingly good and you asked, why the deduction of one star? Cause I think it's a bit pricey for a slider. Ordered: #3 - "I get a kick out of you" filled with jalapenos, provolone, pancetta and a little mayo on a roll (somehow I felt there's a bacon inside, maybe I was wrong) - $3.50 #5 - "You're my Everything" filled with sauteed peppers, onions, garlic, swiss, and a little mayo on a roll - $3.25 I shared with Shauna D. for this order and #3 was super good, the spicyness just kicked in right away, I totally love it. It's too spicy fo Shauna and she just told me to finish it. The #5 was good too, the flavor was pretty rich but after a bite of #3, I easily forgot #5, so I love it.

I hate this new "gourmet" food truck craze. Crazy long lines and over inflated prices for medicore not-so-gourmet food. But my job has a food truck even now and then, so if the trucks are right on my campus, I will give it a go. These little sliders were actually pretty good. Steep price at almost $4 a slider, but I will take into account that they only use local ingredients and I love that they only use grass-fed beef. These little guys weren't perfect though. Those little details. The La Vie En Rose touted melted gruyere, onions caramelized with vermouth and thyme on toasted ciabatta. The little ciabata was way too big for the patty which makes it appear you aren't getting your meat's worth. The vermouth and thyme didn't really show up, but the onions, cheese, and ciabatta were nice. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/B1J8NLowOuyaf-miTkx1rg?select=1kMouJsIubI9ms5IjykNqw I Get A Kick Out of You offered Roasted jalapeños, pancetta, provolone, bit of mayo, toasted hamburger roll. This was better with more going on. I had to add my own condiments at my office. I could see and taste what was in the description. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/B1J8NLowOuyaf-miTkx1rg?select=OUJtWlx5bTcgkIbPGs7hCg And I liked that it was perfectly medium rare. Nice. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/B1J8NLowOuyaf-miTkx1rg?select=OUJtWlx5bTcgkIbPGs7hCg Garlic Rosemary fries COULD have been great. If I could taste the garlic and rosemary. I wanted actual chunks of garlic or rosemary. I didn't taste anything, but I really liked the ribbon cut of the fries which makes them easier to crisp and stay crisp. No for a food truck, this wasn't as bad as most I have tried. I hate to admit, I MAY even try another little slider IF the truck happens to come to my work again. =)

"Those burgers were fantastic" "Hmmm....I would give them somewhere between a 4 and a half and five stars" Those were the comments from my 10 year old daughter who is my sous chef, budding food truck groupie and future yelper of all things edible after tonight's meal at the Patty Wagon. Upon arriving at the Chinatown Summer Nights, we headed over to Lei Min Way to survey which trucks were there and after reviewing the options said "dad, we're doing burgers" while the rest of the family was off to find something else. I did the "New Deal" which is two original burgers, fries (with sea salt) and a can of soda for $9. My offspring did the same but modified it with only cheese and grilled onions with the upgrade to Mexican Coke in the bottle ("whoa...they got these in Mexico? how cool" was her comment). I found these to be very flavorful, juicy and if the line had not been 20 deep at this point would have gone back for the Route 66 burgers. The twice cooked fries are amazing and with the option of rosemary or sea salt would be great with either. Pulling the "frequent visitor" punch card out of my pocket when we got home she immediately took it saying she was going to show her friends at school on Monday and tell them she was going to have it fully used so she could get a free one. Does that mean we're going back?? I've learned just like her mother, she usually gets her way.....

Ok Ok Ok! I tried the "Keep Your Sunny Side Up" mini burger. It was really REALLY good.... Service was nice as the guy answered all my questions... I would gladly come back.....only if there burgers were bigger. They were soo good I wish I was still eating more. So im so torn with this place...I want to come back..but I wish they were bigger...whyyyyyyyyy! But..for a mini burger food truck....this place was great.

These guys could be a 5 star truck, except for one flaw. I can't quite put my finger out on it but it is either too much money for the product you get, or too little product for the money you pay. That said, I have no complaints about the taste. They offer 6 mini-burgers for roughly 3.00 to 3.75 each, and the 2 I had were pretty tasty, but when it;s all said and done, I paid $6.75 for essentially a 1/4 burger/ I ordered the #2 which they call the Mood Indigo and the #6 La Vie En Rose'. They were both great. The Mood Indigo is a small grass-fed patty on fresh ciabatta topped with bleu cheese, grilled onions, and mushrooms. Now I cant vouch one way or the other whether there was bacon or not. My photo is inconclusive and I dont remember tasting any. but there were plenty of mushrooms and carmelized onions, and the burger was tasty either way. My La Vie En Rose (that's cama del rosas en Español) is the same size burger with melted gruyere and onions caramelized with vermouth and thyme. It was pure goodness, but only 3 or 4 bites of goodness. One of those burgers was $3.25, and the other was $3.50 (I think). I am sure that the 2 of them totaled $6.75. which seemed a little too spendy for 2 slider size burgers. "Gourmet Food Truck #80 on my never-ending quest to try every truck in So Cal" .

Launched six days ago, the adorably and cheerily wrapped Patty Wagon serves grass-fed mini-burgers, hand-cut organic french fries, homemade dill pickles and desserts and blows all other burger trucks out of the water. If you're not the Food Inc.-watching, The Omnivore's Dilemma-reading type, feeding cows grass (rather than corn, grain or other animals) is better for them, you and the environment. In short, if every truck needs a "gimmick," Patty Wagon's is sustainability and great taste. Grass-fed beef has a bad wrap as being expensive. Patty Wagon, however, gets its meat from the owner's friend in Teton Valley, Idaho, which translates to a more reasonable price for him and less of a markup for you. The prices, as a result, are both reasonable and comparable to other burger food truck fare--especially when you consider the quality of the beef. I ordered the Keep Your Sunny Side Up ($3.00, Slider served on ciabatta bread with gremolata) and I Get a Kick Out of You ($3.25, Roasted jalapenos, pancetta and provolone cheese). Keep Your Sunny Side Up's gremolata (garlic, lemon and parsley butter) was fresh and had a lovely tang, and the soft ciabatta worked well with the firm meat. My favorite bites of the slider were where the oil from the gremolata and the meat had soaked through to the ciabatta. Yum. I Get a Kick Out of You had a wonderful, smoky flavor, and the spice of the jalapeno played nicely off the saltiness of the pancetta. I'm not a fan of spicy foods, but the flavors of this slider were so balanced that I didn't mind. The meat on both was juicy, fresh, clean tasting and on-par with any other grass-fed meat I've eaten. After polishing off these burgers, I instantly regretted not having more cash on me. Basically, I'm in love. Now I just want them to make full-size burgers...

I hired Patty Wagon to come out to Neat bar for a company happy hour. I provided tickets to my employees that got them 2 sliders and a side of fries. They were out front well ahead of schedule and ready to go when my employees started arriving. They were very gracious and very professional, I would HIGHLY recommend them. Later in the week, they came by Glendale for lunch and I got to experience their full set up (without having to party manage) and I have to say that I was, again, impressed. I loved the '50s music playing and the little ironing boards that you can use as tables with little flowers. In terms of food, I have tried: -The Patty Melt -Classic Burger with Cheese -La Vie En Rose -Grilled Cheese One burger really fills me up, so not sure why i get two. All of them have been very good and I think so far the Patty Melt is my favorite! My ONLY gripe, is that they don't have a veggie patty. I am not much of a meat eater and I would love a really good veggie or even turkey option. I hope they keep coming back to Glendale!

LA Street Food Fest July '10 - Mood Indigo

LA Street Food Fest July '10: First of all, while waiting in line at Patty Wagon, this guy next to me kept sighing and looking over to the booth and pacing back and forth. This guy could NOT wait to get his grubby hands on a burger! I swear, if we weren't looking at him, he would've slit my throat just to get ahead of me. Anyway.. the yumminess that ensues: This tiny burger was the highlight of my day. It was one of the best things I had at the Street Food Fest. They served their Mood Indigo.. sauteed mushrooms and onions with bleu cheese. Oh my god, biting in to this juicy burger.. was like heaven. Patty was juicy.. full of juice.. juice bountiful. Juice ran down my chin! Such.. velvety beef.. Their fries are okay.. a little cold, and too thin for my liking. I like 'em thicker. Later that day we went to hunt down some restrooms and we found the PATTY WAGON. We were just watching the guy whistling, and cooking the meat.. We almost went up and asked him if he could hook us up.. but we were already full as hell. I think this is probably the only truck I would actually go hunt down. Food trucks are all around Downtown LA... pretty far from where I live.. but this beautiful bite of burger is worth it.

I got the "kick" (a favorite of one of the employees" and I have to say the best 4 little bites I have ever taken in my life. The little fist-sized burger is juicy, succulent, crisp, and ordered (yes, I believe hamburgers need to be assembled in a particular order) perfectly, efficiently, beautifully and big enough to appease my hungry eyes and carnivorous alter ego. My friends weren't too fond of it (a bit pricey--nearly $4--and not comparable to 25 degrees or umami) but for a mini burger, I got a supersize blast of gorged destiny. Looking for a truck to stalk? Not sure which one is worth driving around the city to find? Nor setting up a twitter account just to be a follower? PattyWagon it is!

Located in Highland Park proper I was turned on to Goldburger because I drive by it on the way to…read morethe gym. As a burger fan, I wanted to give it shot and I finally found the time to. Parking: Street parking was super easy on a Sunday afternoon, I was able to pull up right in front and park on the street. There is a Super A across the street and ample parking around for free. Ambiance & Food: This reminds me of an old school burger stand. Those were the best burgers and this one did not stop that trend. As I walked up, we were warmly greeted and given a quick rundown of what which burger. They did have specials (I will get to that in a second) which we were intrigued, but for the sake of perspective, I ordered the Goldburger and both regular fries and curly fries with a bottle coke. The Goldburger is naturally a double, but my gymrat protein brain added that extra patty. They use a 70% to 30% mixture for their burger which makes the burger oh so decadent. The picture I took doesn't do it justice. The moment you bite into the burger the combination of burger juice, aioli, burnt skirt, all come together in such a harmonious fashion. It was remarkable. Though fries are not one of my strong points, both fries were crispy and I haven't had any other experience with Curly fries other than Jack in the Box, but these were so much better. I went ahead and dipped the fries in some homemade Aioli and dang, what a combo! Back to those specials, the current special is CHILI, I was intrigued so they gave me a small container of it to try. Man, if I wasn't watching my caloric intake, that would have been the move. It was rich and chunky and not to soggy which some always comes. Give it a try as they said it will be around for sometime. Other than burgers, they do have hot dogs as well. So worth trying both next time. To be perfectly honest, this brought back so much nostalgia for me, I used to go to school in the area and this brought a lot of those memories back. Tasty burgers and a must try for sure if your around! Cheers!

No where near the flavor and umami as heavy handed and easy street and more modern places. Very fatty. Fries had a good crisp but the chili was super super smoky. Not sweet at all. Which is fine, but not my style. Chili is very user specific. People that worked there were incredibly nice. The diet soda option wasn't bad. Outdoor seating only so go at night or on a cool day.

Taking place in the same plaza as Howlin Rays and Lasita in Chinatown, you could certainly tell how busy it was in holiday and weekend. The line has constantly been long and despite there's online pre-order option, it's intermittently off and the price's marked-up. We took prolly good 30mins in the line but once the first bite of their DH Burger hit, it felt totally worth the wait. The medium rare dry aged patty was so juicy that you could even see as you sliced through it. Cooked medium rare certainly nailed it. That sesame bun people have been raving about was indeed so good being crispy and buttery; and their housemade Amboy sauce was just succulent! Made it even better, go for extra bacon for sure and get their fries on the side.

First, the place is located right across from Howlin' Rays in Chinatown. So parking is all around, which is nice. There was a line, to be expected with a top 10 burger, but the line moved pretty fast. I ordered the Amboy DH burger, which is their dry aged patty with American cheese, caramelized onions, pickles and burger sauce on a sesame seed bun. To be ranked as high as it is, my expectations are through the roof and, because of that, it did not meet the expectations. The never is very good, very thick ass well, and the bun had great flavor. What threw it off, for me, was the pickles. The pickles just did not mesh with the other flavors. The pickle is just very potent and dampens all the other great things going on in each bite. Bites that did not have the pickle were so much better. So I would say to get it without the pickle and I feel it will be exponentially better. The being said, while it is a good burger, I feel there are others in LA that beat it in terms of flavo, but I'll put it in my top ten in LA for sure.

Their hot dog is the platonic ideal of what a hot dog should be. The old bay seasoning on their crispy tots is a stroke of genius. The inside is small, so it's basically an outdoor-only seating or take-it-to-go situation. Thankfully a tall brick wall, umbrella-toting picnic tables, and large sails give ample shade to their large lot. There are a few parking spots in the back if you're lucky, otherwise street parking should be easy to find. When enough people showed up to eat, it felt like a backyard kickback. Music was a perfect volume for conversation and their Regular Show-esque bespoke mural gave us a lot to talk about. You put your order in with friendly staff inside, and they call your name on speakers when it's ready. Ice cold water is freely available as well as some select beers, wines, and juices. It's not fast food, but it's not slow either -- you can't rush something as delicious as what they have to offer here.

They have their own parking lot, but it's quite limited. Looks like part of it was under construction for expansion. Here's what I ordered: TATOR TOTS - $6 Fried crispy, tossed in old bay. Exactly how it's described and they delivered it--so good! SINGLE BURGER - $9 3oz patty with cheese, butter toasted bun, mayo, chopped chilies, onion, pickles, tomato, lettuce. Solid smash burger!!!!! Nuff said. I was sad they ran out of hand pies and that I because it was the end of the day. Need to come earlier for them.

Excellent beers on tap for $5-$6 and even an espresso martini for like $14. Chicken sandwich was always on point and also a big fan of the Morrison Trio. Owner was always pleasant and the servers were top notch. I never had an item on the menu that was not delicious. And I tried just about everything on their rotating happy hour menu. I remember they were selling $10 Don Julio 1942 shots one time because it was Cinco de Mayo week. Great times and memories made at this restaurant. Holiday decor was always great to see especially during Halloween. A true loss. Bring it back please! If there are any Dodgers fans out there with a good pregame spot, please reply with recommendations seeing how I do not have one anymore.

The staff was friendly and very attentive. The wings and drinks themselves were super flavorful and I thought I would have more time to enjoy and come back to visit while in town. My partner also tried their burger and fries and decided to stop by the restaurant only to find out they closed a couple of months ago. It was worth the visit when we went there back in December.z The place was cute and it felt comfy.

The order pick up window person shouted my name to the kitchen each time I checked in. Finally the 3rd time they responded, they start arguing, apparently my order was done a long time ago, and it was given to someone else. It took 30min to figure out that my order had already been done and given to someone else because there was no communication between the kitchen, order staff or pick up staff. no apology, just got my food after the argument 3minutes later...Food was average, definitely not worth a 30min wait.
