I reached out to the salon, they were super helpful and worked with my schedule so I could get in before my event. The salon is gorgeous with a chill vibe, I felt welcomed in and loved the salon. This review is long overdue. I love Paul. He is cool, talented, and best of all down to earth and genuinely nice. I just wish I could afford him. I had a gift certificate from a silent auction, and told him I would not have been able to afford him otherwise. But that didn't affect the way he treated me at all! He was so lovely. My hair is difficult to handle. It has a combination of straight and kinky and everything in between. I'm also inept at the hairdryer and styling department so I told him I needed a style that is simple to maintain, looks professional and doesn't age me. He DID IT! Gave me a fabulous medium length cut with just the right amount of layers and soft bangs that can look sexy or professional depending on how I style it. He even patiently showed me how! Cheryl is the best! I came to her through a referral and she exceeded expectations. I asked for a trim and to add some layers but Cheryl insisted that we look at pictures so she can understand the look I'm going for even though it was just a simple cut. Turns out it really does make a huge difference because I left with Olivia Munn hair haha. I was slightly skeptical at first because Cheryl spent some time styling it to perfection but I was able to get it to look just as good myself the next day after a wash! I was recommended to Morgan after a trying tragic bleach job. Worse still, my wedding was just 8 months away!!! I looked like I had stuck my finger in a socket... and also had a subtle mullet. Not cute. Morgan has brought my hair back to LIFE. At our first meeting we came up with a game plan to use a babylights rather than double process. Morgan also advised me how to baby my hair at home to keep my recovery journey in track. By what must have been sorcery, Morgan kept my color looking great with minimal chemical process, so I didn't have to walk around with a two toned mess with crazy roots. F*CKING FINALLY! Do you know how LONG it has taken me to find a stylist and colorist in this freaking city? 5 year. 5 YEARS people. That is a LONG time to have hair that you are dissatisfied with. First time I met Cheryl she told me something so simple about the way my hair grows and why it is so boofy at the back and fixed it - just like that. 32 years of having a back-poof hair situation going on... and GONE. Solved. Crisis over Cheryl is literally a hair wizard. She will cut it and style it and you will want to take her home with you so she can do it like that every morning. I have been going to Paul for awhile in another space. Awesome to see him in his own new salon. He gives an amazing cut and blow out and today was my first color -- it's perfect. Shiny and not the redish brown I have gotten at other salons. He took a few steps with the 'single' process to make sure it had depth and dimension and it shows. Ruby (jessica) is an EXPERT at short hair cuts. I got a pixie cut about a year and a half ago and the person that used to cut my hair just didn't understand how to cut it short for me so I let it grow out and do it's thing. I wanted another short cut, something like an undercut where it's longer on the top and really short on the sides and back. I looked around at a couple different salons and my friend had recommended Fringe salon, where Ruby used to work when I first met her. She did the cut perfectly, I felt amazing when I left. I went to Paul Fox Salon for the first time. I was also getting highlights for the first time (after a Sun-In disaster). Mary took care of me, she explained that what I wanted for my hair was a bit unrealistic and she did a great job giving me highlights, low lights, and a glaze. I came out feeling very natural and shiny and pretty. I did not have time to get a haircut but I was pampered and blown out beautifully. The total cost for my hair coloring was $150 which is much less than I expected for the treatment they gave me and very inexpensive compared to other salons I looked at on the internet. I had the best experience here! Would recommend Julia for coloring! Pleased from the moment I walked in because of the gorgeous design of the place--very open feel--and it is in a great location. Julia (who is wonderful!) gave me a consultation, as I was unsure exactly what I wanted and didn't have the vocabulary to describe it well.
