My hair has never looked this good. Cami is a blonding PRODIGY. I have naturally very thick, curly, warm-toned brunette hair. I came to her with reddish mid-toned hair, having tried to be blonde at another salon, but it had turned out unfortunately red and had different tones throughout. She spent hours with me getting the placement of blonde to be perfect, and even strategically placed my roots back in. The result is unbelievable, it is so blended it looks like it could have grown out of my head this way! I had mentioned I wanted to come in for an additional toner and Blondify got me in shortly after again with Cami, and honestly I couldn't be any happier. I was happy before the toner, but this is the icing on the cake. It looks so natural and is exactly the color I wanted. If you want to be blonde go see Cami!!! This woman KNOWS what she is doing! Blondify completely RUINED my hair when I came in for a routine natural blond highlight touch up. I had waited 5.5 months for a highlight touch up, and tried Trish for the first time at Blondify. She ruined my natural looking hair and I even started crying in the salon because it was so bad. I have Nordic very fine hair but also a very good base for a natural blond via highlights. Trish did too much highlights so now after 5 weeks you can see my roots as a big thick line (looks like I coloured all of my hair, not only highlights) and the colour has turned orange / bronze. I look like I have dark hair with a bad at home blond colouring try. I went to another New York salon to try to fix it this week but was told that I have to wait at least 2 months before I try anything given what previous hairdresser did. They said she had done a very poor job, done too much highlights close to each other and not removed the colour at the right time. The root blend had also been too dark. She also suggested a specific blond colouring type / process which I later found when she seemed unsure how to do that SHE HAD ONLY DONE 5 OTHER TIMES prior. Ridiculous. I am now left with HORRIBLE ORANGE HAIR for the remainder of the summer. When I was crying in the chair the employees were just talking about personal things super loud and ignored me basically. read more

I booked online for teasylights starting at $370-415. I showed my inspiration photos upon arrival. So my hairstylist decided to change how she wanted to do my hair by changing it to 'heavy blonding,' ($550-700) when I just wanted highlights and colored my whole hair blonde instead of highlights that I wanted. I especially didn't like the fact that they kept adding on extra charges without letting me know. They charged me for extra hair dye they claimed to have used on my hair and for a 'root shadow' when I didn't even want my root colored as I have shown to my stylist prior to everything. My stylist worked really hard so I do appreciate it but I hate my hair and this is what I get for listening to instagram hype. read more

I think the owner edited her response to my initial review as it was quite abrasive before. Only responding so this would help the salon in the future. I have found a much better salon with REAL human hair extensions that charge more for a much better service and professional stylists. Again, I never harassed anyone and anyone who knows me personally would know that. I simply reached out to Valerie after a service I wasn't happy with as per their salon policy of a 10 day limit. All that had to be done was calling me and asking to clarify a cancelled dispute, which never happened. I just asked about where I could get my extensions treated after they installed it. Kind of a blessing I was blocked from the salon as I finally found a place that is professional and has real human hair extensions. Updating this to let others know how my dispute was handled. If anything I was too nice to the owner and my stylist, wish I just got up and left after time and time being told my hair is too dark (how is it inclusive if I am being shamed for my hair). I live in LA but traveled to New York just to get my hair done by Britt. Blondify is THE SALON TO GO TO IF YOU WANT TO BE BLOND. My experience was a 10/10. I went from my very dark virgin natural hair to a cool blonde in one day. Britt is experienced, knowledgeable (20 years in her industry), and has a super specific attention to detail. Britt and Lily both worked on my hair and provided the best service. I cannot stress enough how much these are the people you want to do your hair. If you're doing a transformative change like I did, I recommend buckling up and eating breakfast and bringing some snacks because it takes time to strip all the pigment from dark brown/black hair (but we all know beauty take work, and we put in those hours at the salon). They give you all the aftercare instructions, and have great products at the salon to purchase to keep your new look healthy and gorgeous. Update to the previous review Brittany, First of, Marie did not tell me that the service would take all day. She never mentioned the time. Rewatch your video that you stay your recorded. Also please rewatch the part starting approximately at 5:45 pm, where Marie is saying all those things that I will mention below. Marie was saying stuff about woman and gorilla glue and laughing about it with another hairdresser Valarie, who was at that time working on an African American woman. They literally were making fun of a tragic destiny of that woman with the glue and stereotyping all African American women that they all love Brazilian butt lift. Common, seriously. Then Marie proceeded telling me how nasty Rita Hazan was as a boss. Basically bad mouthing a very popular person and regardless on what terms she was fired from Hazan's salon, she should not say that to a first time customer. Then she said that Brad Mondo wasn't a good hairstylist and basically trashed his skills. Very unprofessional. Mentioned her gay relative in a way, that it sounded she was disgusted by him being gay. Now back to my issues. Price. Marie told me the upcharge would be from 50 up to 100 to bleach my already very blonde ends.I even asked her why did I need it. My hair was already level 9 closer to 10. What to bleach??? And obviously she upcharged me $100, in full. Then additional color of $45, that was apparently not included in $425.Also $100 for a haircut that basically was a very bad botched trim.Plus, obviously more taxes. You charged me $307 deposit which was 50% of the quoted rate. I ended up paying $825. Not bad right. Average week pay for a professional with masters in nyc. Plus that tip that Marie didn't deserve. For almost $1000 dollars my hair should be soft and gorgeous instead of breaking off like a bunch of straws. If Marie in fact was a professional, she would have known not to process my hair for 4,5 hours covered in bleach. I had a second opinion from a trichologist my hair has no keratin left to keep it bonded and is breaking throughout the length. And I actually have before pictures to compare so it's not my fault how you guys are blaming me. Plus Marie aggravated my piercings and color got in and now I have infected earlobes and cannot wear earrings. Thank you very much guys(sarcasm). As to cut, I will attach the picture of what I wanted. So no need to put another blame on me. Enough. Plus, you guys didn't even offer me to come in and look at my hair in person after I emailed you, however your policy state you offer 10 days to fix if the customer is not happy. You dismissed all my concerns and even dared commenting and blaming me again. You show no respect to your customers and your business is a rip off!!! read more
