Super sweet!! I called to book an appointment for my mom as a mothers day gift and the lovely woman on the phone was so sweet! The lovely young woman who did my moms hair was a joy and made my mom feel comfortable. This pains me to make this review. I absolutely loved coming here for services and have been for years, I've supported friends going to school here, I've brought other friends to have work done ect. But unfortunately I don't think I'll ever be able to come back due to how I was treated by the administration/ management here. To add some context I went in for a dye job/to straighten my hair (and brought a friend with me for a cut and color for her birthday), my hair is very long and extremely curly. Every time I make an appointment I inform the receptionist that, so the STUDENT can have some help. We sit down we have our consultation we figure out the color everybody is excited it's going great, it is taking a while but I wasn't in a hurry and I wanted her to take her time and have it done right.. It turns to about 4:00pm mind you I have been in there since 9:30am, they never once sent over any help all day long but she was checked on throwout the day by management and a few other students came over to see what she was working on. At 4:00pm apparently the DEAN comes out of her office with her purse to go home for the day, this is the first time I've seen her, and tells the STUDENT that she needs to hurry up and to stop working on me and to go find help for herself. The DEAN never once went to her shift leads to asked what was going on, or have them help the STUDENT out. By 4:15 my hair is half dry and have straight, this tall lady comes over and tells me and the student we have to leave.. I was shocked, I informed her that we weren't done yet and she very rudely told me that we needed to leave anyways, I told her I particularly didn't wanted to walk out like this and she said I could wait for the night class if I wanted too. I felt so incredibly uncomfortable after that and just had the student hurry up so she could get a picture. When I went to pay I accidentally knocked over this little sign with my purse by the computer and was super embarrassed about it and was trying to put it back together before the receptionist came back up and before I could put it together the receptionist saw and yelled from behind me that it better have not been my water I apologize and told her it was just my purse, I think she could see that I was almost in tears and said she was just joking. Once I got home I was finally able to see how my hair looked, since I was rushed out of there so fast we couldn't do it there. I notice that some of the pieces didn't have color or it was darker in some vs the other half, definitely something that could be fixed and probably a lot faster now since we already finished most of it. I went back the next day at 9:30am thinking it wouldn't be an issue especially since the student said she was going to be there bc they were having some kind of event, and even told me I should bring my kids in to get hair cuts. When I talked to the receptionist I asked if I could speak to one of the shift leads that was working that day, at that moment one of them was actually walking up I told her that I noticed that some of the areas needed a little work and if I could have the same student, she made me at the receptionist desk in front of other paying customers to point out what I was talking about bc she didn't see anything wrong with it and NO there wasn't anything she was going to do for me and that student might be booked for the day. She never once talked to anyone else, looked to see if the student was even booked for that event, she just stood there telling me it was fine. So instead of arguing with a grown adult and being gaslit in front of about 10 ppl I just walked out and said nothing. I feel so bad for the students that go there. if this is any indication about how they are being taught on how too work in customer service , then they are being set up to fail and Paul Mitchell is just a cash grab and is scamming students out of thousands of dollars. There is no way anyone will be able to be successful with that type of mentality. read more

Very disappointed that I drove over an hour and half to get a color and cut and called to notify when I ran into traffic. Was told I needed to be in no more than 15 minutes after my scheduled time. Actually got there 17 minutes after by breaking every speed limit and was told I wouldn't be able to get the cut that comes after the color. Not sure who gets a lightening color without a cut. Also not sure how they could do a cut if I was 15 vs 17 mins after. Can't recommend something that didn't happen. Also couldn't reschedule for weeks out. read more

I wish I could give it ZERO stars to be honest! But I cannot, I am a student at this school, and for being a luxury name in the industry, we are ran like we are in the getto. We are always running out of product, and being told to use something different that is not comparable. Also to top that the AC never works so don't come in the summer, unless it's first thing in the morning. The AC has been fixed 3 times since I started school in late February, and don't get me talking about the mold in the building as well that I have reported and nothing came to of it! You will also get the gate closed on you on Saturday if you don't get out fast enough. read more

The students I've had were very personable and professional. The front desk staff is friendly and instructors do a great job checking on their work and process. Calling to make an appt. was easy. I was greeted and seen on time by Faith. I needed a Barber cut since I had messed up my hair at home trying to cut it myself. Faith was friendly as were her Leads. The entire atmosphere was happy and welcoming! Faith did an excellent job, giving me a Medium length Fade with Tapering, allowing me to keep the length i wanted on the top of my head. Along with many other reviews from the students, I would give this school a zero if I could. When I first started I was excited to finally start my dream career in the cosmetology industry, especially after taking the school tour. They 100% over promised and under delivered. It was obvious in the first couple of weeks what their priorities were. The students being at the very bottom of the list. Here are a few things to consider before committing to this school. 1) teachers are in and out like crazy. Although I do not blame them, this made it extremely difficult for the students. Every teacher came in teaching us a new and "correct" technique of doing something, and the way we learned from the previous teacher was "wrong". This was extremely confusing for the students due to the fact that we had to learn the same stuff over and over again but in a different technique otherwise the teachers would get mad. 2) if you plan on doing the cosmetology program don't expect to learn everything. Most of our hours here were based on hair and nothing more. There were times students got yelled at for being in different departments of the school such as the esthetics room or barbering floor. My opinion is, if I'm going to pay $20k for cosmetology I should be allowed to be in any department I please to learn more about it. 3) students and even clients get treated like garbage. Ms. Cyndi has a big roll to play in this. Constantly yelling at students, and making them feel uncomfortable. The attitude in her voice and the way she speaks to people is flat out disrespectful. She only cares for getting people in trouble. Such as dress code, not clocking back in right away after break, changing rules EVERYDAY, and even changing the requirements to graduate on my class on our last 100 hours we had (which made it extremely difficult for all of us to graduate on time) there's been numerous occasions where students have seen her disrespecting teachers (hints why no teacher lasts here) and clients. She had the nerve to come up to my client who was struggling with alopecia and trying to hang onto her hair for as long as possible before it fell out and told her that her hair was "fried and it needed to be cut really bad" and kept pushing it on her. I could tell how uncomfortable my client was before I, the student, has to step in and say something. She is an extremely rude lady who doesn't even follow her own rules. 4) unsafe environment. They plead the safety of their students but they do nothing about it when action is necessary. One example is we had a school thief, who would steal everyone lunch and tools everyday. We've asked multiple times for them to watch over the cameras and see who is doing it and put a stop to it when they just say they don't have access to the cameras and drop it. This is NOT true by the way. When something of the schools went missing they were so quick to check the cameras and catch who did it, I witnessed this. Plus, why say the cameras are there for our safety if they don't work? It's BS. A couple other examples would be fights breaking out, random adults chasing students into the student entry threatening us, and them forcing us to work on walk in clients who are clearly under the influence of some sort of drug/alcohol. I do want to recognize Alexa Shay, a teacher there that helped students more than anyone else could. She is very obviously there out of the love for her students. I, along with many other students, feel terribly bad for her. She never gets the recognition she deserves and it's been witnessed how terrible she gets treated. She is the BEST thing that this school has, and they should appreciate her way more. She has stuck around, connected with her students, has never given up on any of us, and tries her hardest to insure that her students have the knowledge they need more than anyone else. If I am being honest without Alexa there, it would've been incredibly hard for me to finish school here. I wish she began sooner. Unfortunately there are many other issues that I've had with this school that are not listed. If you are considering attending here PLEASE reconsider. This is not the place you would want to be. I came out of this school mostly self taught in everything I know, cosmetology was an extreme passion of mine and this school made me hate every second of it. I requested haircut with layers, shorter cut about 2 inch off. Color my hair with highlights and lowlights, warm redblond tones. When All was done, Kenedee blew hair dry and used curling íron to style my hair. Results are beautiful!! Im going to make appoint to cut alittle shorter especially on top with more layers.I would recommend using Paul Mitchels Beauty College for a great place to have hair done. They offer alot of other services at greatly reduced prices also. The services are done by students that are doing their best and supervised by i their instructors. Came here for a haircut, and Mike Zeiger took care of me. It was a good experience, and I could tell he was well trained. He took his time and made sure it was right, cutting it exactly the way I wanted it. Many of the other students were there to share in the experience.
