It was around 4 pm on a Friday and he told me that he would get back to me on Monday because he would have to do some research. On Tuesday afternoon I called him and he never came to the phone. Finally, Stanley picked up and proceeded to tell about all of the pitfalls of rebuilding your own turbo and convinced me that it would be the more logical solution to replace the turbo with a new one so it was ordered and I was told that he would call me when it came in on Wednesday...on Thursday I called and was told that it was in. In the background I could hear Stanley say I left him message. Which was a lie, I have had the same number since 1993 and no voice mail was left from him. Anyway I picked up the Turbo (80 mile round trip) and talked to a real nice tech named Wes and we talked several minutes and he gave some advice regarding mounting and pre-oiling the turbo. After installation I cleared all the codes and gave my truck a test drive and it ran great except I did not have the power under a load that I had before the trouble started. No codes returned. So I called back the next Monday (Stanley answered the phone) and asked if I could talk to Wes to see if he could point me in a direction to solve the low power under load situation. Stanley said the he don't let mechanics talk on the phone that they need to be in the shop earning money. I identified myself and Stanley basically told me that all I did was easy stuff and that it was probably the pump, injectors or low compression...and that I was not a professional and a pro needed to look at the truck. He told me that he would drive it the way it is. So service after the sale is pretty much nonexistent...granted I am not a Ford mechanic, but I have worked in the automotive service industry and feel I am reasonably competent. As helpful as Wes was, Stanley's message was loud and clear "I sold you the part...leave us alone." I will not use them again and everyone I know will hear about the crappy treatment after the sale. Rick fixed my A/C and referred me to other places that could do some of my other repairs faster/better (for example, I needed a front end alignment and he sent me to a tire place). I am somewhat clueless about certain aspects of cars because I had a long time trusted mechanic who has scaled back. So I really appreciate Rick's honesty. He's also within walking distance of the Enterprise Rental Car in Mableton, so if you really need to drop your car off and go to work (but don't have a ride), Enterprise is a good option.

Long story short...I had the car towed to Doug, he performed a thorough diagnostic test, narrowing down factors to a root cause. I told Doug that I would be patient with him and not be anxious and rush him through the process. I perform all maintenance on our cars except the oil changes because if we sell it shows maintenance history for oil changes. That being said they kept me there for 4 hours trying to scam me into purchasing replacement parts that were already brand new and had been replaced already. One example was the battery, it was only a month old and from that point I knew they were going to keep trying to scam. Another scam they tried was charging me for a tire rotation on a Camaro which the front tires are smaller than the rear which is offset so they had to give me my money back for that and they gave me hard to about that which I would call stealing when you take money and not want to give it back. This went on for 4 hours when a had a scheduled oil change and other customers were coming and going also getting oil changes. This is the main reason why I took my wife's car for her this time so I can see the BS they try to pull with women not knowing I work on cars too. This happens at many dealers like Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet being the worst. Over the last 2 decades I have purchased a lot of cars but this is the worse experience I have ever had for just a basic oil change. I addressed this with the two drivers who were very nonchalant. The truck was on the same side of my yard which recently had $2,000 worth of plumbing repair less than 2 months ago. I spoke with one on the men regarding the damage. He acknowledged and claimed ownership of the damages; however he did not provide me with his name nor any contact information. The truck became stuck in my yard during the pick up. After, the truck was able to gain traction, the drivers fled the scene. A police report has been filed for documentation purposes. I trust that this matter will be handled professionally and in a timely manner. I am following up with you regarding damages to my property. Thus far, there have been no responses to my recent emails nor texts from you regarding trespassing on my property and the damages to my property. The lack of professionalism and accountability is very shocking.
