I only got bakery items to go (almond croissant, chocolate au pain, plain croissant, and carrot cake). They were slightly better than grocery store baked goods, but not good enough that I would stop here again. Also, there were five people standing behind the counter and none of them would help me order. One of them heard I was ordering to go, and just walked away. I tried the Italian salad and the portion was large! It was delicious and presented very well. The mozzarella was fresh and the prosciutto was nice and salty. They offer a Cesar salad ( which is what I was going to order) but it comes with tomatoes and no Cesar dressing. That was strange. The restaurant was clean and our waitress was nice. What an absolutely delightful discovery! My husband and I started with a ham, egg, and cheese croissant that was melt-in-your mouth delicious. The European flour they use to make the pizza dough and croissants take your tastebuds to a whole new level. We then ordered a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and added burrata. (A must do!) Again, it did not disappoint (especially with the pizza oil drizzled on top). Evee, our waitress, was friendly, attentive and a genuinely kind soul. She offered recommendations that enhanced our meal because she really wanted us to enjoy our dining experience. Her recommendations were spot on! Kindness overflowed from everyone we interacted with. Tried the margarita pizza with spicy beef. The crust was ok but the spicy beef was not spicy at all. On a scale from 1 to 10. The pizza was a 5. I ordered the carrot cake and it really did take like a store bought carrot cake. It didn't taste home-made. I tried the lemon pie and the berry tart. Both were a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10 when compared to both at other bakeries. I didn't eat all of any of the three desserts. One thing I noted was that the meringue on the berry tart and the lemon pie was extremely sugary. The Establishment was cute and the service was great. Great desserts - regular croissants, chocolate croissants, berry tarts, etc. good cappuccino. We came back for brunch. Paulette's basket is a selection of bread with jam or honey. Very good. Nordic crepe was good but a bit saucy. Country French breakfast was good. Nice portion. Service was stellar first time (think was the owner?). Service second time could be better. The owners are the loveliest people, the Parmesan mousse is phenomenal as well as every dish we had. I don't know if their food is authentic French or not since I have never been to France, however, I do not care because my meal was so good and some elements were new to me. I love to try new food! Parmesan mousse? Loved it! Crème brûlée French toast? Loved that too! The other items on my plate were perfectly done to my tastes as well. I had the French country breakfast for reference. I was a little skeptical about this place but was intrigued by the reviews. I'm always hopeful to experience wonderful French food, but I didn't know whether this would be authentic. It is! We ordered the croque monsieur, which comes with a perfectly delicious salad, and we had a croissant and pain au chocolat. They also sell baguettes for $2.50, which trumps the grocery store knockoffs any day. Service was very friendly and the cafe is clean and adorable. We had Sunday brunch at Paulette's having the Apple Pie Crepe and Croque Madame. Both had excellent taste and were of good size portions. The accompanying salad with the croque madame was great, having a balsamic dressing. Our cappuccino and latte coffees were very nice. The restaurant is very clean and our waitress was outstanding. Cute cafe! Paulette greeted us with a bright smile behind the counter. We were immediately seated. The cafe was almost full and we still received our food quickly. Not sure what was on the mini pancake, but it was quite tasty. The croissant was Amazing! Best i have ever eaten. Flakey crunchy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside. The caramel macchiato was just right and not too sweet. We came back later in the day for desert. Chocolate Croissant and apple turnovers.
