I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The owner is a piece of garbage, arrogant asshole. They sold me a piece of crap car, my mechanic went over all the issues with the car and he suggested I take it back to the dealership, as the cost to fix it was going to be over $1,000 to fix it. I only had the car for a month so I called the owner and asked what they could do for me. He was an asshole and said he wasn't going to do anything, that it wasn't his problem anymore. Found out they had a great deal on a Jeep Patriot, I called and they confirmed they still had it. I went over and checked the car out, also looked at a rav4 that was priced well...my wife really liked the Jeep so I decided to get it (especially cause one more interested buyer was there with me). I asked the owner about the possibility of financing, he told me he was doable but the price they had on every car, was the price for cash purchase only, if you wanted financing, you had to add about 2k more. I wasn't surprised about it, I purchased used car before, every dealership does that. I decide to purchase in cash cause the price was really on point. I knew that, when buying a new car, you can't rely on previous owner or dealership, to do keep up with the service needed, truth is, after buying a used car, you wanna at least do an oil and filter change together with a tune up. I changed the oil and filter, air filter and spark plugs. As I thought, it needed to be done, service was definitely due but again, I was expecting it, it could've been a lot worse! I put about 10k miles on it and it haven't gave me a problem. I'm not giving 5 star cause the tool for removing the security bolt on the wheels was missing, and for some reason, one of the active head rest went off by itself (could be a manufactured defect) Owner was nice and honest with me about the price and the car You can't expect dealership to sell you a car with services up to date, new tires and give you a great price...that's just too good to be true read more

We had been looking for a Used Jeep Wrangler for a few weeks. We were on our way home from looking at one that was not clean and had leaks and I saw one online at Paul's. I called and they still had it so we stopped to check it out. The Jeep was so very clean and it was a 2005. Ricky let us take it out for a drive and told us we could take it to a mechanic to have it checked out. Ricky was very personable and acted like we were family. Negotiations were good and then we bought the car. Rickys dad was doing the detail work. When our mechanic inspected the car he found some minor things that were repaired, mostly fluids. . The car looks brand new. This is a family owned business and they take pride in their work. They were honest about the services that needed to be done. Paul's is a great place to buy the family car! This place is on my way to work and my daughter is starting college. I need to buy her a car and after looking around I came hear. I see the cars come and go pretty quickly so I figured it must be a good thing. My daughter test drove two cars the first one seemed as though it was about to shutdown but the owner said he hasn't had time to check it out yet and it wasn't ready. Ok fair enough we test drove another and that was it my daughter wanted that one. The owner gave us the amount and paperwork for us to go to our credit union with so we could come back with a check. We were approved and waiting on finalization when the underwriter calls and says there is a problem. Problem was the car is registered in another state. Owner had failed to register it here and is still trying to sell it like that. I dodged a potential bullet and now I'm going to look at dealers with warranty. read more

Bought 2001 Jeep Cherokee for $9100 on 10/25/19. Took it to my mechanic the following week to fix oil leak. When they dropped the oil pan they found the oil pump was loose(wobbling) which caused low oil pressure thru out the engine. They found main bearings scored and heat damaged. They said the engine needed complete rebuild due to loose oil pump and advised to return the vehicle Paul's. They documented the damage with videos and pics. I texted them to Paul's and returned vehicle I no longer wanted. They would only give me $5200 back and of course would not rebuild the engine. read more

The owner is a huge scammer! Don't buy your cars there let me tell you why. We worker there for a few days detailing their cars and it was the worst experience ever. Aside of him constantly insulting us extremely low paying us and firing us after we washed all their cars. He doesn't give a crap about the cars. He sprays acid and degreaser all over the car. Totally disregarding the battery fuse box speakers. A total mess. We had agreed $50 a car and he said he would pay us $50 per person it was me and my partner we washed 15 cars total including his personnel car and wife's car. He owed us for 2 days of work from 8-6. He only paid us $100 dollars. As in 50 a day. When we went back the following week and talked to him about it he immediately turned on us. Calling us greedy assholes and to get off his lot. Went to look at/buy a $3k dollar car. After I was finished checking out the car, I was ready to go home. My cars battery was dead. I asked the owner to give me a jump...he looked at me crossed eyed and said "cant you see I m working here! I'm busy! Then I asked if he had a portable charger I can borrow for a few minutes, just to start my car. He said" we dont have one!. I looked down next to car by entry, and behold, there was a charger right there. I said let me use this one and he said... I dont have an extension cord; I almost tripped over one attached to a vacuum cleaner. After I politely asked again for help he said; ask the mechanic and give him $ 15 dollars for the jump.......Really??!! What a shmuck and arrogant person. If I could give zero stars, I would! I was referred to this place by my brother. He bought a vehicle himself, and referred another jockey friend to buy a car here as well. He told me to ask for Paul/Pablo, (the owners son), because he'd gotten good cars for good prices and low down payment. I came to check them out, ready to buy a car on the spot with a reasonable downpayment. I had no longer stepped on the lot when a short, dark, bald Hispanic salesman came out and asked us what we were looking for. I said I wanted to finance a car to start building my credit up. He automatically said, "Well then add at least $2k to the price tag. The prices you see are cash only and not including the license and taxes". I said fine, reluctantly, and asked him what would be the downpayment on his cheapest car there ($3,495). He said, and I quote, "You are looking at at least $1,500 for the downpayment". Obviously shocked, because he hadn't even ran my credit yet, I told him that to me it sounded very unreasonable to put almost half of the cars total price as a downpayment. If that was the case then I might as well save a little more and come back and buy it cash. Irritated with me, he started directing all remaining dialogue with my husband and said, " Well if it's so easy to save up money, you wouldn't be here trying to finance then. When you have it come back and I'll sell one to you." I again asked to speak to Pablo or the owner on account of his crappy attitude and uselessness and he said no, and if that was all we needed, he was done. I gave him attitude right back and told my husband that I would never give this man a commission with my money! He turned around and walked off and so did we. Today we went car buying as on Thursday we thought we had found the perfect car, hubbys brother went with us and we spent all day looking - we settled on one about 40 minutes away at a small dealership, Paul's Auto. We negotiated the price with Ricky and said we would be back, we had to pay Uber $50 to get there...when we went, Ricky (who was the owners son) went to tell the owner we were there, the guy came in and proceeded to tell us because we came back after 2 days (though that was the agreement as we had to get the cash out of our Aussie bank) the deal was off (even though we had it in writing) and we have to pay full price now, not the amount we negotiated that he agreed to 2 days before (in writing) as he had spent money on this and that on the car and he got really angry and started shouting at us for negotiating a lower price and all this stuff about how we were not making him happy with the price. The son just hovered in the background looking embarrassed and scared of the old man. Well hubby is one of those guys that is big, intelligent and has one of those calm voices that when he speaks in a certain way you know you are in trouble...so hubby said his piece about how we had a contract to buy and is he saying he will not honor it and is he trying to extort more money out of us...and then I said to his son I am sorry you have gone through this embarrassment and so have we, I am not sure how you can work like this with his Father being so aggressive and I am sorry for you...we were about to get up and go then the old guys finds out we have cash "ka-ching" goes his greedy mind.. so he says, ok, you can have it for the agreed price but by then we couldn't trust him so he lost a sale and embarrassed his son who just stood there too scared to interrupt the old man...and as we were leaving he must have realized that he did all that yelling for nothing as he ended up agreeing to what we had been quoted anyway and had lost the sale through his own stupidity...so he yells out you are bad customers, get out of my shop! Hahahaha!!!! On the way out we told people what had happened and they all left so there you go- all for trying to rip us off for more money than he agreed to!!!! The shop is badly run and it was truly awful being yelled at like that and stood over. I was so excited to get a new car but it went wrong just because the old man was aggressive and truly nasty. I sometimes think that bad reviews go on here because people are too hard to please or for something they did to upset the owner, but all we did was to bring money and try to buy the car and all we got was a scary and nasty experience. I would not recommend anyone going here and I hate to think what would happen if we had bought through these guys if anything went wrong with the car. I have a friend who is a single mother with 3 kids and was looking into purchasing a new car for her to be able to transport to her and her family needs. This jerk had the audacity to try and sell her a car that had tags expired since 2016, no oil or maintenance to the vehicle and still charge a security deposit for $300.00 dollars with no return. He was suppose to provide receipts for the so call work he stated he would do for the vehicle and failed to do so. To top it off he began to be a rude and very unprofessional and demanding to still go ahead and proceed with purchasing a vehicle that doesn't even work. I dont know what the hell his problem is or who he thinks he is to talk to people like that. My advise to anyone who even considers this place to purchase a car, just DONT he is a sick scammer for all you know he is probably doing illegal transactions. I needed to buy a car for my father when his transmission went out. I was looking for two things that it was under 4k and less than 8 years old. I was going to buy directly from the auction house, but they were a hassle to deal with certified cashier's check, auctions only on Saturdays, you can't drive the car first, it's a pain. Anyways, I searched online and came across cargurus.com with an ad from Paul's Auto for a "2008 Chevy HHR for $3995" it looked really nice. I called and asked if they took credit cards as a payment, the gentleman said yes but the bank charges .02% I drove about 40 miles round trip to check out the car. To my surprise the vehicle was actually better looking than in the ad. I took it for a test drive and everything worked great except, when I would hit the brakes the car would shake and rattle. Most likely a sticking caliper, I thought. Because, everything else was good and the vehicle was perfect for my dad and sister I decided to purchase it. I talked to Enrique, one of the owners sons, I told him I wanted the car, but can he fix the brakes it rattles when you stop. He was very nice and said sure we will get it fixed for you by tomorrow. I left a deposit. The next day they call to let me know the car was ready for pickup. I drove the car again and the rattle was fixed. When signing the paperwork I asked where the brakes the problem and is there anything else I need to repair. The owner was very straight forward and said, "yes you should replace the rest of the struts." He explained they replaced the front and rear brakes and turned the rotors. But, the reason the car was shaking was that the passenger side front strut broke. They replaced it, in all the repair cost about $250, but was free-of-charge to me. Summary: Paul's Auto is a small dealership with 10 to 15 cars in inventory; however all of the cars on the lot looked very nice and clean. Most importantly the prices were only a few hundred more than the auction yard, but in better condition. The customer service was very professional they were nice to my sister and father. Because of their honesty and going beyond just the sale by replacing parts they had not promised too do; earned them my top rank. Disclaimer - I was a cash buyer, I did not finance. However in the ad it did say "All prices are CASH + T&L" Which is very common among car dealers. They could add "additional % fee when financing" to make the statement a little clearer. Over all a good dealer, the total cost of the car was $4456 most of the increase was from state sales tax and registration. But, still $1500 below blue book. read more
