This is one of those hamburger stands that I enjoy quite often, the burgers are great the fries are good and the fried mushrooms are out of this world. My son likes to come to the spot too and they have a pretty good deal with the kids meal to come to Oreos,so he really gets a kick out of that. The burgers are big and juicy and full of flavor. They pair well nicely with the fries and if you know, then you know that the mushrooms are so damn good that I just crave those things by themselves sometimes. The staff is super friendly. The tables are usually clean, and there's always a spot to sit down, there is no indoor seating, but their outdoor seating area is covered and like I said, you'll always have a spot. The reason for the negative one star is that sometimes the bathroom smells a little musty, so I'd recommend that they get an air freshener or something, all in all good little burger, stand with a huge menu as there's many options on there from salads to Greek food to Mexican and also burgers and stuff Prices are reasonable for this day and age. If you're going to change the hours you're open, then update it online. The company website states 10am - 10pm Friday and Saturday. We arrived at 8:57pm tonight (Friday), and before we could even get up to the window, and employee yelled out to us that they close in 3 minutes. My husband said, "It says 10:00 online" to which the employee copped and attitude and responded with, "well it's wrong online." Cool, thanks for the heads up. Pauls Place is always solid. Had the grilled chicken salad. It's pretty darn good wish there was a little more grilled chicken, but that's OK. My wife had the club and fries. Pretty eh food here. Nothing bad but not really something to write home about. The Oreo shake has a slightly weird foretaste? if that word even exists. Overall pretty weird experience because you usually hate the aftertaste not the initial taste. The aftertaste tastes good. The zucchini fries are kind of plain to me even though I really like parmesan cheese. I guess I'm just not a fan of zucchini... or how they prep it here perhaps? I don't know... I ordered a asada quesadilla (thought it was just OK) nothing great) the quesadilla kept falling apart however (they will put bacon and anything els you want inside it if possible) but if you do load it up they need former tortillas). 3 stars, because the food is good. The prices and the attitude are a different story. I go here more than I should because I do a lot in the area. Kids sports and school. Anyway, the food is all very good. Can't argue much on that point. But $15.49 for a cheese burger combo is insane. 8.99 for a kids hot dog meal is just as bad. Restaurants dont even charge that much for a kids meal. I frequent a lot of burger places around the area .... Steve's in Torrance, Doublz in Paramount, etc and these are by far the highest. But the worst part is how stingy they are with ranch. My kids say it's the best, and it is pretty good. But we'll spend $50+ as a family(2 adults, 2 kids) and they'll charge you for ranch. Even worse, they don't give you as much ranch as they're 'supposed to. For instance, when you order the chicken strip dinner, you get one for the salad, and one for the chicken(or bbq sauce). When you order Zucchini, you get 2 ranches with it. Well, we've ordered both at the same time many times, and they give us two total. I ask for 2 more, and they try to charge you. My tray is still there, I show them what I've ordered and I'm supposed to get 4. With attitude, they'll throw out one more and then say the next one you have to pay for. It's usually the older lady but it's happened with others. That's how often this has happened. If I spend over $50 on fast food, I should be able to get what is part of that price. To have to argue is pretty ridiculous. I'm definitely not paying extra. If it were me, I'd be done going here, but my kids love it, so I deal with the BS. read more
