I had the chicken gyro this time. This will be my new go to order. It came with a good tzatziki sauce. Will have to ask for extra, I ran out quickly. The chicken was so good and the bread was the perfect pita texture from my dreams. The tomatoes were soft and flavorful. It was packed full of chicken and that made it difficult to eat. So were the onions. I love onions and I'll eat them any size however these had pieces I wouldnt eat from my onion. That being said everything in the pita would be better cut smaller. Long story short: great home cooked feel on the go. I love this little place. I work nights so it's nice to be able to get legit breakfast food without getting out of my car. The staff is super nice and it really gives you that old school diner feel but of course with the added bonus of having a drive through. My favorites: veggie omelette, French toast (plenty of powdered sugar), if you like home fries they don't come very crisp so I ask them to cook it a little longer, and their breakfast sandwich. Side note: if you go through the drive through keep in mind that they're cooking actual meals so it will take a little longer then it would take if you're just getting McGriddle, which you can just get across the street if you're in a rush. read more

I have always liked Paul's but it's pretty much cash only and they do have an atm machine. It's definitely a hole in the wall but the food is decent and affordable. The things that I like about Paul's is that the menu is large, the prices are great and I love supporting mom and pops. You can get just about anything to eat from sweet potato fries to a pastrami sandwich. I'm not sure if they have ice cream shakes but they should just like The Pit Stop. Also the size of the pastrami sandwich is huge I couldn't even finish it. So Paul's is alright it's a mom and pop so they try hard to please their customers. read more

Any local will understand what I mean when I say this is the cheaper version of Angelo's. This was actually my first stop in here and I got the junior Burger which was perfect amount size for lunch it's on par with the In-N-Out Burger size. I got fries which were the thicker cut and were made fresh to order. Like others said it is a longer wait but I think that's because they make everything fresh as you order it. I will have to come by to try other items so I can update my review if it gets better or worse with repeat trips. The good news is is it's worth coming by when I'm in the neighborhood. read more

This place is a hidden gem! It's a little dated decor, looks 1970s-ish, but the food is amazing and extremely low priced. They could add 50% to their prices and I would still come here. Today I got the Mushroom and Swiss burger with fried zucchini. This thing is massive, there's enough cheese on here to choke a horse, and the zucchini sticks are literally fresh zucchini that they slice, batter, and then fry. Flat out the best zucchini sticks I've ever had. Wife got a bacon avocado burger and it looks as good as mine, if not better. She wouldn't share so I can't comment on it, but she did share her sweet potato fries and these things are as awesome as any I've had and I'm from the South, pioneers of the Sweet Potato Fry. I've been here once before months ago and had a great experience. Loved the food! However, today's visit is not sitting well with me. Aside from the rude lady who made us feel like we were wasting her time (we only took 2min. tops with no one behind us at any point in the drive thru) the cook wasn't wearing gloves!!! We are told to be extremely cautious and think sanitary right now with the spread of the coronavirus and heres this guy making food for everyone who comes by with no gloves! I couldn't bring myself to eat it and I damn sure didnt want to deal with the rude lady again because we had already paid by the time I noticed. Also, they charge for ranch. I was really looking forward to eating here because of the great reviews but once i got here it's been a bit of a disappointment. I ordered the pancake combo and was super excited because i love pancakes and when i got to sit down thw tables were a littler too tight. When i finally get my order i try to put syrup on it but it is so liquidy it squirted all over my plate but no big deal there. The bacon wasn't cruncy or soft it was in the space in between where it just taste rubbery. My eggs were also a bit over done. The pancakes were really bland when i put syrup or butter on it. In any case customer service was really attentive so i will give credit to where it belongs but over all i wouldn't recommend this place for breakfast even if the price is very considerable. read more

Warning. Do not eat here. The food was overcooked. (Burnt) not only were the mushrooms I ordered horrible but so were my daughters and she went thru drive. The vanilla milkshake was watery and I had them make another. Very dirty counter, floor ect. Nobody cleaned or wiped off counter after any customers. The prices on the menu must be incorrect. Ordered (2) breakfast sandwiches and (1) burrito and the total came out to $25. The menu showed $6 for sandwiches and $6 burritos. (Still scratching my head around that) After they asked what I wanted on the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. I checked out Paul's Place tonight after reading about the "place" on the Yelp app for my new Droid X phone. (What a great phone!) Paul's Place has been coined the "Greek McDonald's" by the Reader magazine back in 1995. I read this on a faded version of the article framed on the wall. It matched the decor perfectly because all the other framed pictures and prints were also faded and of Greek subject, like gyros and Greek islands and architecture. The interior could certainly use a makeover. The menu is on an old school light board that isn't very appealing but the wide selection of offerings here will have you looking at it for awhile. Prices are very reasonable. Upon others recommendations, we tried the bacon avocado cheeseburger, pastrami sandwich, and chili cheese fries. We ordered at the counter and filled our soft drinks at the self serve fountain and sat at one of the many booths inside. The disposable cups were also Greek in theme with images of an Olympian and the Parthenon. Our food came up quickly. The burger was just okay- the bacon was thick, crunchy and delicious and the avocado fresh and plentiful. The problem was with the burger patty itself. It was only "wafer thin" and wasn't the juicy ground chuck I was hoping for. The chili cheese fries were also good but not great. The portion is generous and a value for the price. Definitely share these- too big for one person and not good enough for a stand alone meal in my opinion. The best in show today was the pastrami sandwich by a landslide. The sandwich was hot and piled high with the tastiest pastrami I have had in quite some time. The pickles and mustard were in perfect proportion and at $5.79, worth every penny. One last item I wasn't thrilled with was the little paper napkins provided in the "diner" style table dispensers. Not an ideal implement when eating messy food like the chili cheese fries. I'll be back to Paul's Place again soon I am sure for some drive thru pastrami and I'm looking forward to trying the breakfast menu as well. (Perhaps the steak and eggs for around $8?!?) My visit today was horrible. The food was good, but my experience was entirely ruined by the bathroom. I really had to use the restroom and had no other options.These restrooms are outside of the restaurant and I knew I shouldn't have used it, but like I said I didn't have any other options. I walked in and it was filthy in the bathroom there was graffiti everywhere and what made it worse...the soap was powdered. I HAVE NEVER SEEN POWDERED SOAP IN A HANDSOAP DISPENSER EVER! I was immediately disgusted. It did not even foam when I used it to try to wash my hands. I left there feeling even filthier than when I walked in. This makes me wonder how clean the food is if the cooks are using these restrooms and "soap" to wash their hands and then go in and handle the food. I don't think I will ever come back to eat here again. When I went in to ask for a fork because they forgot it for my order, I asked if they had liquid handsoap and the cook looked at me and was rude "no it's powder!" I like this cozy, quick, cheap and affordable place. It reminds me of Tom's and a little similar to Pitstop which is right across the way. I get that the food isn't fancy but it's affordable and great for those times when you want the restaurant feel but don't want to pay the restaurant prices. My favs have been the Gyro sandwich and turkey burger on a whole wheat bun and sweet potato fries. I love these dishes. Things I would avoid personally is all the fried foods and the omelettes. They don't put cheese on there omelettes which surprised me the first time and tried to request it after but was too late since it has to melt while cooking. Place itself could use some sprucing up with a shotty drive through intercom, faded promo pictures, outdated decor, etc. but it's cozy and people are friendly. They have been around for a long time A LONG time, and I have never had issues with them a year prior to this year nor has my family but I've had enough. Every time my grandfather comes here to get food he has gotten his order wrong every single time.
