Nothing bad to say about this little beach side cafe. Can't beat the location, plenty of parking, friendly workers and good food. There are a lot of gluten free options, vegetarian as well, many coffee coffee choices and smoothies. This this place can appease the most discerning. Love the Buccaneer Cafe.

Great service though the line was long and steady. Being that they are super close to the beach and rv park they get a lot of business so I wanted to try it due to the line and menu. Ordered the California Burrito and was underwhelmed. The steak was the type that TacoBell, definitely not "carne" as listed. The fries (ordered on the side bc I'm a fry purist) were great with their spices and ketchup. Not too sure what way the salsa provided was going tho. It was giving Franks and Ketchup and Pace. If you're starving this'll do. If you want something good or Mexican style burritos I'd look elsewhere. Also, had a bit of my husbands kitchen sink burrito with soyrizo (seasoned tofu) and it was ok too. The coffee selections were perfect tho.

My fur baby and I stopped in on our morning walk for a coffee. The prices are reasonable, coffee is good and the staff is super friendly. This is located right across the street from the beach so you can grab some food and something to drink and be at the beach in two minutes or less. I haven't tried any of the food yet but it does look really good I highly recommend stopping on in if you're in Oceanside and coming to the beach

California breakfast burrito with kalua pork and mexi mocha by the beach

If you're anywhere near Oceanside, do yourself a favor and stop by this spot. It's a casual order-at-the-window setup, which makes it perfect for a laid-back beach morning. I ordered the California breakfast burrito with kalua pork, and wow--easily one of the most delicious burritos I've had. The flavors were incredible, perfectly balanced, and just ridiculously satisfying. I'm honestly a little sad I'm just visiting because I know I'm going to be craving this long after I leave. I paired it with a Mexi mocha, which was also fantastic--rich and comforting, with that nostalgic Abuelita chocolate vibe that makes it feel extra special. On top of the amazing food, the service was super sweet and impressively fast. And the view? You really can't beat enjoying your meal right by the beach. All around, an unforgettable casual breakfast experience. I'll definitely be thinking about that burrito for a long time.

I really wanted to like The Buccaneer because of all the hype, but honestly... it fell flat for me. I ordered the soyrizo Buc Muf and the soyrizo burrito, and both really lacked seasoning. The flavors just weren't there, and everything tasted pretty plain. The line was also so long, which made the wait feel even worse considering the food didn't deliver. In my opinion, it's definitely overhyped. The staff was nice, but you could tell they were stressed trying to manage the constant line. It is a very tiny place. It's all outdoor, you order and pick up through a window. Overall, not the worst experience, but definitely not worth the wait.

The ambience is only ONE of the many great features of this outdoor beach cafe . Situated across from Tower 11 and the ocean, even a gray day doesn't diminish it. We shared the Privateer açaí bowl which filled us up until dinner! And Ssoooo dang delicious ! We didn't have to wait terribly long for our order, the wait is one of those things you understand when you're getting terrific food. 10 outta 10 an Oceanside gem and should definitely be on your to-do go to's when you come here.

The food was simple and delicious. You can share a burrito if you not a big eater. The taco I had was tasty except the fries were cold. Oh the ice coffee was strong which is a good thing. They have a few tables and bar stools which great. The front view to location is the ocean water. We took our food and walked across to beach.

One of my best friends took us here for breakfast. Unfortunately we showed up at 10:30 and the line was long. It wasn't so bad as the beautiful beach views and friendly people in line made the long wait bearable. BC does have some outdoor table seating but the beach is like 25ft across the street. Plenty of so cal beach vibes to enjoy these deliciius tacos. And delicious they were!!! If I had to pick one the Carne Asada was my slight favorite. The seasoning was just so good. The portions are large so you don't go away hungry. The other menu items are just as amazing from what I hear as well. If you want a yummy breakfast taco with some kicking beach views BC is your jam.

Looking for something close to the Body Shop I was at, and thankfully, this place wasn't too far away. As soon as I arrived, there was a line for this place. Must be good for it to have a line. The wait time was around 15 minutes (more or less), but it was worth the wait. I looked at the menu; they added fries to the breakfast burrito! Excuse me! I HAD to order one, and boy, it did not disappoint! The eggs were fluffy, they had guac, and there were all types of meat choices. Most importantly, the fries were super crispy under all of that in the burrito! I ended up halfing the burrito because I thought it would be too much, but it was the complete opposite. I'll order a whole burrito next time I'm in the area! Excellent burrito!

Nice to have a little spot to grab a drink and maybe a bite to eat. Average service. Waiting to give an order (all 3 times I visited this trip), the gal carries on conversations with her colleagues while I am standing there with no acknowledgment or mention of "hi there, will be right with you"... not a complaint, just mentioning. Was excited to try the Clam Chowder and it was a heavy let down . Too thin and must of had a ton of butter. When they ask you if you want the Garlic Bread with the soup, just decline. It was just 2 slices of white bread, with a little bit of butter and garlic, barely toasted LOL . No big deal. I also had the Kitchen Sink burrito this trip. Was ok. My wife had the Ham and Egg burrito. She was happy. Coffee was ok. I ordered an extra shot and I am not sure if it was in there. Wanted a Carmel Machiato but they said they could do a Mocha with Caramel . No big deal. Coffee was average. 3 's for being average, yet convenient. The prices are steep, but I imagine it isn't cheap to have that prime location. This place could be so amazing with a little work!!

This is my all time favorite açai bowl place. It's a right across from the beach in Oceanside at Buccaneer park. Excellent service and food comes out fairly fast. It's usually pretty crowded when I go here, but it wasn't bad on the day we went. I always order the privateer which includes two scoops of açai, granola, blueberries, bananas, strawberries, coconut, and honey. I also got peanut butter on it. I split a carne asada breakfast burrito with my daughter. So good! It had scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and fries, and of course the Carne Asada. It was a beautiful day outside. There's no inside seating. You can't go wrong at this place. I've tried different things and everything has been very good. Since I don't live in the San Diego area anymore, I like to come here when I visit. What more can you ask for? It's right across from the beach

We heard about this place but had never been, until today. The fact that we have never been here makes me confuzzeled! I had the bacon burrito and my wife also had the bacon burrito but has a gluten allergy so had the burrito bowl option. The food is so good and there is so much of it. I swear there was a quarter pound of bacon in my burrito. I can't overstate how good the food was. The staff was so friendly and patiently answered all of my wife's questions regarding her allergy. And if it couldn't get any better, they are situated right across the street from the beach so you can order, walk across the street and plant yourself on the beach and enjoy your food!

The esthetic is really nice and as good as the coffee. It looks like they have seasonal offering that changes with the four seasons of the year. For spring seasonal I had a pistachio latte. Vanilla flat white was just as good. I would say Carlsbad for coffee this place is a must stop.

But here's the kicker--she orders her coffee plain, simple, and black. To me? It tastes exactly like every other coffee in the world. (Don't bean me, it's just the truth!) Despite my lack of enthusiasm for bean water, we recently checked out Revolution Roasters, and I figured it was time to espresso my thoughts on the place. Spoiler alert: It was a pretty brew-tiful experience. Since I'm not a coffee guy, I let my wife handle the beverage department. She ordered an Iced Cold Brew and gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up. She said it was really good, which means Revolution Roasters is definitely doing something right to keep the coffee purists happy. Now, onto my territory, the White Chocolate Scone was a hit with the wife because it wasn't too sweet. If you prefer your pastries without a side of sugar shock, this is the one for you. However, full disclosure: if you're standing there debating between this scone and the savory pot pie from the shop right across the way... I'm going with the pot pie. Sorry, scone. I also ordered the Berry & Cream Cheese Toast, which was the real MVP. Again, it wasn't overly sweet, and they nailed the ratio. There was a perfectly even, generous spread of cream cheese and berry topping. Highly recommend! Revolution Roasters is located in a super cool, market-style space filled with other neat little shops. It makes for a great, lively atmosphere. When we walked in, the line was pretty long--clearly, the secret is out. But don't let a crowd deter you! The service was incredibly smooth and helpful, and they've got the operation down to a science. Plus, despite the crowd, there was actually adequate seating for a ton of people. We didn't have to play the awkward "hover around a table until someone leaves" game. While the vibes are immaculate, there is one tiny logistical hurdle. For a coffee shop that gets this busy, there is only one bathroom. If you've just downed a large iced brew, you might have to practice some patience. All in all, Revolution Roasters ground its way into our good graces. Between the smooth service, the cool market atmosphere, and food that hits the spot, I could definitely see us filtering back in here again soon. Whether you love coffee or you're just there for the toast, it's well worth a visit!

She told me to just cover it with a lid even tho I told her I had a dog in the car that would eat it and it was chocolate sprinkle. Traditionally they stop and make the coffee and then move on to the next guest. She was in a really bad mood so she kept taking donut orders until about 5 guests deep. Then she got 2 other coffee orders so she stopped to make coffee. About 10 to 15 minutes after I paid for my other order she makes my dirty chai. A kid and a mom are right by the counter. She goes why. I'm like the drink spilled and you didn't even offer or try to remake it. This place had really gone downhill. Service is awful. The donuts look nice but they've been sitting out and are stale. The same with crossaint I had. I would not go back here anymore. Awful experience. Drove out of my way to come here today.
