I was planning a wagyu steak dinner and wanted to level it up with some caviar. After seeing all the glowing reviews, I stopped by Pava Caviar Shop -- and it did not disappoint. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted and asked what I was looking for. I mentioned the steak dinner, and they immediately suggested the Kaluga, which was exactly what I had in mind. I got to sample a few options (a really nice touch), and everything I tried was delicious. I ended up going with the Hybrid Imperial and grabbed some blinis to go along with it. The packaging was beautiful -- secure, elegant, and perfect for the ride home. To top it off, they included a mother-of-pearl spoon for free, which was such a thoughtful bonus! Super excited to pair this with dinner tonight. Can't wait to come back -- this place is a gem!

Absolutely insane. My husband and I visited the shop today for an anniversary present for ourselves and the caviar was 1) phenomenal and 2) an amazing value. 100000/10 will definitely be coming back.

A MILLION TIMES YES. Loveee caviar or looking to try it? You NEED to come to Pava Caviar Shop. Best customer service, best prices and soooo fresh!! Things I love: 1. FREE SAMPLES. Yes - they let you try them before you buy them. And the quality is toooooo goood. 2. Prices are affordable. I got 1oz of Ossetra and 1 oz of Kaluga hybrid, Bellinis, 2 mother of pearl spoons, 1 tin opener all for $100... like WHAT. 3. Owner (Vic) was so patient, kind and helpful. If you live in the area, you get 10% off!!

A Hidden Gem of Caviar Excellence in Studio City! If you're in the Studio City area and haven't yet visited Pava Caviar on Ventura, do yourself a favor and make it your next stop for a true delicacy experience. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with an elevated sense of hospitality and sophistication that sets the tone for what's to come. The caviar? Absolutely stellar. The quality and freshness are second to none--each pearl sings with rich, oceanic flavor and melts like velvet on the tongue. But what truly sets Pava apart is the unmatched pricing and showmanship. You're not just buying caviar; you're stepping into an experience. The knowledgeable staff walks you through the origin, tasting notes, and serving suggestions, and yes--you get to taste before you purchase, which is nothing short of sublime. This is not just a purchase; it's a moment. A celebration. A reason to indulge. Five stars, no hesitation. Whether you're a caviar connoisseur or new to the delicacy game, Pava Caviar is a must-visit. This is where quality, care, and customer experience meet in perfect harmony. Don't walk--run to grab your next batch of luxury.

As a caviar lover and novice, going here was a wonderful experience. I was able to try several types of caviar and Vic, the owner, was so lovely and kind. You also get caviar spoons and a cute little keep cool bag with every purchase. I had the best time and will certainly be returning!

Vic lets us taste test these amazing caviars before purchasing! We didn't know too much about caviar but he educated us on the purchase & I'm definitely coming back for more!!! Such a pleasant experience & love how clean the place is! Service was so so amazing

They have "THE" French butter, and yes I went home with $100 worth of butter. No regrets. The workers were quite welcoming, and the prices are NOT overly marked up at all. I was expecting prices to be more expensive than usual, but I was very surprised and delighted to see that it wasn't. My goal was to get some French butter as I saw they have a huge selection of it. I found so many other items like 3 freezer full of items like pain au chocolaté and croissants made in France. All you have to do is bake it at home. They also have frozen baguettes. I got frozen pastries and I also got some French butter and their selection is massive with different flavors. I typically get this butter at the grove but this place has sooo many varieties. I also picked up Italian flour (to make pizza dough) and canned pizza sauce that they recommended. I picked up some Patata Torres chips as well. Will definitely be back to explore the store more. Definitely worth the visit if you're into cooking and like gourmet foods.

She was upset about a small sample paper cup that was sitting inside the cart and accused them of throwing it there. The strange part is that my family member was still holding their own sample cup in their hand and told her that. Instead of realizing it may have been left there by someone else, the woman aggressively snatched the cup from her hand, and continued escalating the situation. The conversation was happening in Korean, and she began insulting them, saying they didn't even speak Korean and couldn't understand what she was saying. We are Korean by the way. All of this over a tiny paper sample cup that wasn't even theirs. The cashier seemed confused and was apologetic, clearly unsure why this woman was acting this way. What was more disappointing was that when it was brought to the owner or manager's attention, the response was dismissive. My family member was asked to let it go, not the worker It's concerning that someone felt comfortable physically reaching into a customer's cart and grabbing something from their hand, and that it was brushed off instead of addressed. Unfortunately, this isn't our first negative experience here. On a previous visit, we bought multiple cabbage that turned out to be rotten inside. I called immediately, took photos, and asked if I could return it. I was told yes, but the person on the phone sounded irritated, like it was somehow my fault. There are other options, like Galleria, where the produce is consistently fresher and the management is noticeably more attentive and welcoming. Very disappointing overall.

The lasagna is delicious, and the noodles melt in your mouth. I like it because it's not overly heavy like some other lasagnas. It comes with two piecea of garlic bread. During my last visit, one was a bit burnt on the edges. The pastrami sandwich is really tasty, and the bread is soft but still has a nice chew. It usually comes with marinated diced tomatoes, but I always ask for them on the side. If you dine in, the sandwich comes with two deli sides. On my last visit, I got the potato salad and marinated artichokes and both were great. The potato salad was creamy, and the artichokes were super flavorful. For dessert, I tried the tiramisu, and it was a bit underwhelming. It had a slightly gritty texture. Since it's imported from Italy, I had high expectations, but I'm guessing it's shipped frozen, which might be why it didn't taste fresh. I wouldn't order it again. They also sell Italian cookies and gelato. The cookies are good, especially the raspberry ones. The gelato is really refreshing. I recommend mixing mango and raspberry if you like something tart, or trying the tiramisu flavor if you want something sweeter. It's a cafeteria-style deli, so you order at the counter, pay, and then find a table. They also have outdoor seating.

I called the Seafood Department to place an order for some fried fish. I had called last Friday around 7:30 p.m. to order fish, but it was too late. Anyway, Adrian (sorry if I misspelled your name, sir) answered the phone and was very polite and courteous while taking my order. Now, this is a "you buy, we fry" service inside a grocery store, so I wasn't quite sure if I could call in an order. But after my last visit, where I placed an order and walked around the store while the fish was frying, I honestly didn't see why they wouldn't allow it. I originally wanted catfish fillets, but they were out. Adrian offered catfish nuggets as a substitute, but I passed. I then asked for red snapper or rockfish, but they had neither. I moved on to cod, but at $19.99 a pound, I said, "Not today." Finally, he told me they had tilapia for $10.99 a pound, so I ordered two pounds. He asked what seasoning I wanted, and I told him I wanted to try all three -- Cajun, lemon pepper, and one other that I can't remember. He told me it would be ready in 12 minutes, and when I arrived 12 minutes later, it was ready! It was fresh, hot, and delicious. I could hardly wait to get back home and eat it all lol. I will definitely be back next weekend. Thanks again, Adrian. :-)
