If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!!! I rescued my fur baby (a 3 y/o coonhound mix) about two months ago and have had trouble finding a groomer because she is so scared and anxious. Even when she smells a groomer she begins to shake. But luckily for the both of us we found Paw Spa! I called ahead of time to tell them about all of my concerns and I was reassured that they could handle it. And boy did they! Even through the anxiety the groomer was patient and compassionate with my dog. I can't say enough about this place. We will be back. The owner Gabriella is a superb groomer. She has cared for my temperamental little 8 year old ShihTzu for several years. Usually he does not like taking baths or being separated from me, but is always happy to be with Gabriella who pampers him. He looks so special when she is finished with him. I really wanted to like this locally owned business, but my experience was a disaster. The owner, Gabriella, was aggressive, unprofessional and rude. This was my first time at the spa; I had searched for a groomer after my long haired (Maine Coon) left the litter box with poo stuck in his hair the night prior to his appointment. After initially dropping my fur baby, I left the site and returned about an hour later to wait in the lobby. I was yelled at and and told to get out. I was shocked to encounter screaming at this business establishment. Staff looked uncomfortable with the volume of the yelling. About an hour and a half later, I received a text that pick up was in 30 min. I waited in the hallway and was accompanied by a friend, out of hesitation to deal with the owner again alone. I was 9 min early and was told we were trespassing. My friend, concerned for the cat, stepped into the store and screamed into the lobby, demanding we get the cat. I called the police when the level of escalation became too much and I wanted to leave with my pet. The environment was hostile and intimidating to other staff and appalling to me. Bath services cost $240. I should have considered more reviews before visiting this establishment. I was scared for the safety of my pet. This is the worst experience I have ever had as a customer. read more

Never coming back! Lost a loyal customer! Gabriella, the owner and groomer, is very unprofessional and has a disgusting attitude. Dropped him off at 2:00pm. She had my dog for 5 hours, his grooming was unfinished, he didn't look bathed, she cut his ear and didn't tell me. I got there at 6:50pm after receiving the text that he would be ready in 30min. He was crying out in the back when I arrived because she was having a hard time cleaning around his eye. I told her she could stop if she couldn't complete in two minutes because who wants to hear their baby go through that. She rolled her eyes and responded with an attitude. A different groomer came out to explain the issue, which I understood because he's been seen by a vet and it was not a concern. She stated how busy of a day they had, being short staffed by one groomer and one bather, so I understood the long wait. Gabriela brings my dog out and immediately I noticed how unfinished he looked. Gabriella said while I was in the lobby that if I'm unhappy with the cut I can bring him back for her to fix it. I paid, tipped, and left even though I felt very unhappy with the service. Another customer waiting also pointed out her attitude upon leaving. When I got home was when I really noticed his haircut. He didn't smell bathed. It smelled like they just sprayed him with something and that was it. They cut the tip of his left ear and it was bleeding! His face was uneven and it looked like a 5yr old cut his hair with dull scissors. Under his neck was bright red from the leash that they had him on when trying to groom him. I'm assuming he was trying to get away from her after cutting him! I called Gabriella to ask about his ear, which she confirmed she forget to tell me and apologized. I mentioned how uneven his cut was and her whole tone changed. She got super defensive and hung up the phone after I mentioned I understood she had a long day. I guess my wording set her off but I didn't want to argue with her and was going to suggest just talking about it in the morning. I tried calling back several times and she did not answer. Waited a few minutes and called again. Gabriella answers and I ask to speak to someone else because again, I don't want to argue with her. The other groomer comes on the phone, puts me on speaker which I did not know, and I explain to her how upset I was with Gabriella's behavior. I requested a refund and explained how I've been a loyal client for the last few years. Haven't been in a while because of the pandemic but still gave them my service. Gabriella yells out "F%CK YOU, YOU BUM B!TCH! I'M BLOCKING YOU! F%CK YOU!!" and continues with all kinds of profanity and hurtful things about me and my dog. The other groomer tries to calm her down but the phone hangs up again. Called back and she continues to scream profanities at me. She refused to give me a refund, repeats that she's blocking me, calls me out my name again, and hung up a third time. And Gabriella, don't reply to my post because I already reported you the the BBB. Respond to THAT! Response to Owner: He was in pain from you cutting his ear! He no longer felt safe and was in distress! You should have notified me of the issue and either decline the service or handle the situation in a professional manner but you didn't. So SINCE YOU BLOCKED MY PHONE NUMBER, you can either provide a full refund and we go our separate ways or I take you to court. read more

I absolutely love this place! I've been taking my pup Nova to another groomer but they just never did a great job. It was always something with them. But the Paw Spa is my go to forever! Gianna groomed Nova and she went above and beyond. She was so sweet to Nova and made her feel right at home. Her cut and dyed tail was everything that I could ask for and more. The shop is clean and gorgeous and I feel like my pup feels right at home. On top of this they are black owned (bonus)! Nova will be back in no time! read more

By 12 pm my friend was called back because her Pomeranian was having a seizure. No explanation from the groomer on why he was having a seizure... Pyrenees mix that is nervous around the bath, but Casey brought him out looking so handsome and beautifully groomed. Not worth the money. We took our pup here for a bath after his first visit when they told us he was too anxious for a full cut, so to bring him back every 1.5-2 weeks just for bath services so he could get used to it, the groomer assured us then it should only be around $25 for the bath. Well, it was $75 not including tip to bathe our 8lb dog. Which, honestly, pricey, but slightly more reasonable (I guess?) if indeed the services they say they perform on their website were actually performed. But were his ears cleaned? Absolutely not. Nails trimmed? Nope. Best I can tell they washed him and brushed him and let him air dry. For. $75. Dollars. We could do the same at home for free. What a racket. Definitely will not be returning. read more

Booking several weeks out and taking into account the new store, they cancelled with less than 24 hours to go. If I did that, I'd have to pay for full services. I won't be coming back here. The spa itself is beautiful. There is a lounge area set up that is adorable where the pups can hangout before and after their appointment. I'm a little late on this review. I took my puppy here a little over a month ago. She was in desperate need of a bath and nail trim. I booked an appt that was more expensive than what my puppy needed. I appreciated that the front staff let me know that my puppy only needed a less expensive service. I only interacted with the young lady at the front desk. She was very friendly and offered great customer service. It was my puppy's first time getting groomed and I appreciated the experience she and I had. I wish this place was closer to where I live so I could take her there more often. I meticulously researched where to take her to introduce her to being groomed and I am so glad the research lead me here. They also kept me informed of how she was doing and gave me a head up of when she would be ready to be picked up.
