I purchased a Taurus GX4 from Pawn Palace. I went home to check the Taurus website for warranty information. The Taurus website asked me to provide the serial number. I was then informed that the firearm has been on recall since 2023. I now have to ship the gun back to Taurus and wait 3-6 weeks to get my weapon back. I also have to pay the shipping and wait to be reimbursed for that, too. I called Pawn Palace to inform them that they sold me a firearm on recall without informing the buyer. I was told by the owner that, "The gun was used." He then stated that "we sell guns on recall all the time." He then said it was an "optional recall. Just send it back to Taurus." How about Pawn Palace send it back for me? They sold me the defective gun. "Optional Recall"? On a handgun! It's not a weed eater. You REALLY don't want to be walking around with a defective GUN!! People could get hurt. It was easy to find that the gun has been on recall for two years. To sell me the gun without informing me that the gun was on recall is just shady business. The majority of the staff at Pawn Palace are wonderful people. The gentleman that I assume is the owner is not a very nice man. He looks like the father from "The People Under The Stairs". I don't mean that as an insult, it's just the best way I can describe him. I have purchased two firearms at Pawn Palace. I have always redeemed my Pawn tickets. The business has profited from my visits and I am always respectful. The owner seems to detest me. He acts like he's disgusted by me. He looks at me like he'd almost rather throw me out of the store than take my money. I have no idea WHY! I tolerated it because Pawn Palace is the town of Cottonwood. I put up with it long enough. I have to make one more visit to Pawn Palace to retrieve some belongings, but that will be the last time. read more

I use Pawn Palace exclusively for my transfers. Not only are they efficient and effective, they are also the best price around for FFL transfers. I have never purchased a firearm directly from them. They have an "ok" selection. I feel like their selection of pawn products far outweighs their firearms selection (as it should be since they are a pawn shop). I usually walk around and check their prices of pawn merchandise while waiting on them to finish my transfer paperwork and for the most part I feel like their prices are decent. But as with all used items; they are only worth what someone is willing to pay, so the prices are subjective and I don't have an opinion on them one way or another. The customer service is always great. The owner and employees are always attentive and when they are not super busy I am always greeted promptly upon entering. It's nice that they have situational awareness of who is in their store since they sell firearms and ammunition. I will continually use them for all of my FFL transfer needs, and in the event that they ever have anything on their shelf that I am interested in, I would not hesitate to purchase it. read more

I have been using this store for several years. They are always friendly, helpful and courteous. Never pushy even if you are only looking around. Still the best FFL rates in the state. I receive all my weapons there and also use them for sending weapons when I sell them. Was traveling through Cottonwood and happened to stop by Pawn Palace. So glad we did! The owners are amazing. The customer service was out of this world. They have a huge selection and their prices are very reasonable. We were really impressed by their large inventory of firearms. They definitely have something for everyone. They actually have a handgun that my boyfriend has been wanting at a better price than we have seen anywhere in Phoenix. I moved to the Verde Valley from The Northeast about 3-1/2 Yrs ago, and one of the first friends I made here told me"You need to go to Pawn Palace if your buying any new Guns." Now Three years later, Rob does all Of my Transfers, and all Of my Gunsmithing until I learn to do it myself. Tanner and Rob work hard to keep a good stock of All sorts of firearms. Rob has also been a guest on My Podcast ( on the 2A and Shooting Sports) and is quite skilled in all areas of Gunsmithing. If he can't do it he knows who to call. Unlike the big box stores, they will take the time to Learn what you need and get it for you. As someone who has been shooting since before I had hair, I trust Rob and Tanner implicitly. I enjoy browsing pawn shops. There are usually good deals on things I may need. And sometimes I stumble into an impulse buy for something I don't need. I have been in Pawn Palace three times. Each visit about a year apart. But today I felt compelled to write this. Nice looking place. Clean. Shiny counters. Sparkling cases. Lots of stuff. Plenty to look at. Each time I have been in there are a few guys standing behind or near a long counter (bar?). Loud conversations about rights, rules and politics are going on between the 2 to 5 men. I browse. I wander. I linger at display cases of shiny things. I stand still for an awkwardly long time. I glance around, obviously looking for an employee. I hesitate to interrupt a conversation that is growing more intense by the minute. I browse more. Then I leave. Same scene, three times. No one has ever spoken to me in this store. No one has acknowledged that I was there. Perhaps I have an invisibility cloak in this particular pawn shop. Perhaps they are there to chat, not peddle stuff. At any rate--- I neither pawned nor purchased. So my review is simply about my own experience in this pawn shop. read more

Pretty much what I expected from a pawn shop gun sale. I brought in a nice 1950 collectable and never got to an offer to purchase. After perusung internet when describing my offer agent asked what I wanted for it- as expected. I was then told they recently sold one better for about half what I know it should be worth. Bullshit. 'Been going to the Pawn Palace since they were on Main St. Have no complaints! They will order ship or sell guns and back them up. They do a lot of business in pawned goods and they will take stuff back if it doesn't work. They are family folks and are helpful when all you need is just informational assistance. I have never submitted a yelp review but the rudeness I encountered at this shop has compelled me to write one. The male owner seems able to communicate only with gun customers. He has no use or time for anyone else. In conducting a transaction with me, the only words he was able to utter were the amount of money owed and "sign on this line". He barely acknowledged that I was standing in front of him. I did not even know the transaction had ended because he just walked away without saying anything. I was so confounded by his behavior that I went back into the store and told the female owner how upsetting her co-owner's rudeness had been. She told me that they had had a bad week and then launched into an emotional diatribe which boiled down to the message that I was being inappropriate for criticizing them during a bad week. She was not apologetic in any way. The problem with her "bad week" explanation is that the previous two times I had been in the store, the male acted the exact same way, to the point where both my husband and my son separately commented on it. My recommendation is to drive to Prescott or Flagstaff rather than giving this shop any business. read more
