I have taken our Westie here many times over the years but today will be our last time. Yes, his hair was long and matted but what the groomer did was nothing more than what we could have done on our own. He was basically shaved with very little done for the long hair on his face and tail. It would have been better if they called me right back and said that there was nothing they could do. Love this place! They are so so sweet with our little Kali. Came here the first time just for a nail trim. Kali is usually anxious after a nail trim/groom appointment so when she came back to me just happy as can be I was hooked. We we're living in Beaverton and driving over and now we live in Wilsonville and still make the trip. Love that there's also a self wash seeing as there isn't anything like that in Wilsonville for when we're in a pinch. Paws for Elegance was my 4th groomer. I wish I went to them from the start. The groomers were kind and professional and very patient with my nervous dog - even when she pooped on their table. My dog always came back beautiful with no cuts or injuries. I felt safe and comfortable with them. In addition, they have self dog washing. I loved this! I was so tired of cleaning out my bathtub every time I washed my dog between grooms. Wonderful environment. Friendly. Easy. Inexpensive. read more

We have used this company quite a few times before, it was always just okay. This time they cancelled on us 10 minutes before our appointment because of the "snowmageddon" which wasn't even a dusting. We needed our boys taken care of before a trip, they said they would see what they could do and call us back. That call never came. We ended up taking our pets to petsmart in Tigard and it was by far the best cleaning our pups ever had and way less expensive. Skip this company and go elsewhere. read more

Took my two elderly fur babies in today, no appoontment, fully and regretfully expecting to use the self grooming stations. Now normally this would not be an issue, however I recently injured my back and the idea of lifting two dogs was less than ideal. Anyway, being a first timer to the establishment, I walked up to the counter and met the very nice lady who asked how she could help. I told her I'd like to get my dogs groomed but I'm sure there is no opening for today. Now, to be fair, she hadn't put away their appointment book yet and even upside down I could see they were booked and I needed not one but 2 dogs clipped and washed. Still, she glanced at a co worker who was returning another woman's dog and the two managed to find a way to take my babies right away. I was over the moon thrilled. They gave me the prices and said to return in about 3 hours and that they will call. Well, I'd just returned home after an few hours of light shopping when I got the call. It hadn't been 3 hours so I was skeptical of the quality of work done and my expectations were pretty low. But hey, at least I didnt have to do it. I got to the shop and they lovingly brought my mint clean beautiful angels out to see me. They were beautiful, they actually shimmered in the sun light. I will never go to another groomers after this experience. The ladies were kind, professional and well worth the money. Tip them well they deserve it!!!! read more

I've come here a few times to use the self dog wash/nail trimming services and it's a really nice set up, clean store, plenty of shampoos and the people there are nice and do a good job on my labs nails. However, on one of my last visits I couldn't hear myself think over the sound of a dog screaming coming from their back area. Halfway through washing my dog I peeked in the back area and saw a dog that looked like it was scared, panting and screaming tied to a table while a groomer was holding its leg brushing it aggressively. I'm not a professional but if a dog is screaming like it's in pain maybe stop what you are doing? I quickly finished bathing my dog and left in a hurry, I couldnt handle listening to this poor dog scream the entire time I was there. I was told it was a 'fussy dog' but something just did not sit well with me after what I saw. The lady up front mentioned they were offering a coupon for anyone who writes a five star Yelp review and saw they had signs posted all over mentioning the discount for a good review. I dont think I will be back and certainly wouldn't leave my dog here after my last visit. Also cant count on the positive reviews since they are bribing people to write them. I really wanted to like this place because it is clean and the owners and employees seemed great, but I cant help but question their practices after what I saw/heard on my last visit. read more

We took our 1 year old, very hyper, german shepherd here for the first time for their professional grooming...it was the best experience weve had with a groomer! They treated her like family! Disappointed! Customer service is definitely an art. Some people have a knack for it and some don't. I scheduled an appointment for our border collie over a week ago for Sunday at 8 am, got a confirmation call a few days prior but when we got there the doors were locked. Granted it's Covid time and there was a sign to call upon arrival, so I did. No one answered, so we waited. Called again. No answer, left a message. A girl (new groomer) pulled up and said she is new and doesn't have the keys to get in. Then she drives away a few minutes later. Okay, things happen! After 20 minutes, I called and left a message saying we are leaving and asked for a call back. A little after 10 am, I get a call from them --the lady says "You wanted to get your dog on the schedule?". I respond with "No he was on the schedule but no one was there at 8:00." She casually proceeds to tell me that "the owner FORGOT to give the new groomer the keys" and admits it was their fault. She then asked me if I would be able to bring my pup later today. I say "yes". She checks with the groomer but then asks me if she can call me back. Sure! She calls back and say the groomer can't fit our pup today. Note, they are closed Monday. She tells me her first available is Tuesday, mid day sometime. I tell her it doesn't work for me because I work 6-4, and that's why I scheduled the appointment for the weekend. I did say, Friday would work but there was nothing, so she offered me next Sunday! I did point out to her that it was their fault and asked how can they not work us in? A week later is too late. MISSING THE POINT OF APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING AND MESSING UP. She said they can't and sorry. Nothing about how they can smooth things over! I told her thanks but going ELSEWHERE. I understand things happen but that's when you go out of your way to make things right. Not here, I guess. Sad, but I'm definitely not going here again. read more

I stopped going to my regular self-wash dog place because they started charging $15 for clipping your dog...and what I mean by that is they charged for ME clipping my own dog! Seems they were trying to get people to use their groomers rather than groom their own dogs. But, I digress... Upon arrival at P for E, both my dog and I were warmly greeted by the very friendly and helpful owners. The tubs were clean and easy to access and my 15-year old girl hopped right in. The soaps and conditioner were very nice. The owner stopped by to be sure I had everything I needed, and when it came time to dry my dog, she brought over the dryer and set it up right next to the tub. No need to leave the tub and set my elderly Standard Poodle up on a grooming table. That was really nice, but it was even better when I asked where I should go to clip my dog and was told I could stay right where I was...at the tub. "We want the dog to be comfortable." How exceptionally nice! I was charged the fair price of $16 for my Standard Poodle. Will I return to Paws for Elegance? Absolutely! Lovely owners, clean place, great service and care. read more

My dog is extremely friendly when he's at home, but extremely shy when he's not, so taking him in for his nails has been a chore for me. We came in again yesterday and I also had them clean his ears, which has always been a 'power struggle' between him and I. Trust me, from now on, I will take him in to have that done too, whew! When I bring him into Paws they are always patient and kind to him. They do a good job, are fairly priced and help make it a more pleasant experience for us. Paws for Elegance is my favorite place! The staff is always so cheery, warm, and friendly, and they always make time to accommodate my requests. I mostly use the self dog wash services, and it can't be beat! I've tried 4 other self wash businesses, and they aren't nearly as good. Paws for Elegance has great shampoo selections, ample fresh clean towels, dryers that work well, and other small conveniences like ear cleaners, brushes, aprons, etc. It's bright, clean, and conveniently located. Best of all, there's no mess in my bathroom with water splashes, soggy towels, and hairy drains. For just a few bucks, I leave the mess to them, and walk out with a clean, happy pup! read more

Horrible customer service. I scheduled my 2 dogs for a grooming and trim and confirmed how long it would take. When I dropped them off, I again confirmed I had to pick them up within 3 hours. 3 hours later, I called and was told my dogs would be another hour and no one should have told me less than 4 hours for grooming. This was ridiculous to take that long on grooming 2 small well groomed dogs. The person answering the phone neglected to put the phone on hold and I heard her bad mouthing me over the phone too. I would never recommend this place for services. read more

This review was also left on Yelp. We used to like this place until we noticed that they have a high turn over of groomers. Apparently, the owners of this business place little value on their workers and treat them with little respect. As a customer it is important to me that employees are treated right. Also, as a customer I expect to be able to receive services during stated business hours. We came to the store just after 5pm to find the doors locked. Business hours are supposed to be until 5:30pm. We noticed somebody inside the store, so we called. The person answering the phone told us with an attitude that all groomers were gone for the day and that's why they closed the doors. What about those customers who just want to give their dog a bath? No groomer needed but also now no way to do this. This was the last time we will come to this place. read more

My chocolate lab/golden retriever mixed dog needs a bath every few weeks. Was happy to find Paws for Elegance in Sherwood. Friendly greeting as soon as we entered, the self-bathing process was quickly explained and we were provided with aprons and towels and conditioner. Clean, bright, very nice space. The tub was roomy and the nozzle allowed us to control how hard the spray was on Sophie. Very pleasant experience, would definitely come back. read more

This is just the BEST place ever. We have two big fluffy Golden Retrievers that we frequently bring in to be groomed by Kayla because they are always covered in mud, dirt, dust, tree branches, blackberry vines. You name it. Kayla is somehow able to transform King Doof and Champers into the two best looking Golden Retrievers in town! I am so thankful to have this place. I typically use grooming service. Gigi is always very nice. If they have space, they will often times book last minute. My poms are typically done well. There are some minor inconsistencies in their cuts, but I haven't always gotten the same groomer. Some minor things that I have seen a groomer miss are things like hair in the ears, even cut on leg hairs, and a symmetrical face. What I do love, in that there is a always a sincere approach with my pups. The groomers are gentle with my pups and typically display a smile. If I ever bring up something I would like them to alter, they are always willing to. read more

This place is awesome! The groomers are some of the best I have ever seen. They are also very customer service oriented and they put the animals needs first. They really care about your pet and I know this personally because I use to be an employee of Paws. I have to say that this was one of my most memorable and rewarding jobs. Even though I do not work there any longer I still have to say that the owners Bill and GiGi made my time there fun and they go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service! LOVE this place! I drive from Newberg about once a month to have my pups nails dremmeled, and to give him a bath! They're always welcoming, the space is spotless, I see smiling faces and they play football! What more could you want? I love that everything matches, it's really well put together. Tubs are perfect height, they have face shampoo which petco unleashed doesn't (right down the road. They also don't have nail trims there) and they have a point system for free baths! Plenty of shampoos, brushes, and cleaning supplies to pick from! And my dog is always comfortable! truly animal loving people. Wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

We made an appointment for our fur-baby a month in advance. We called to confirm the day before the appointment & they had changed it from 9 am to 10 am w/o notifying us. Then they kept our 5 month old for 6 1/2 hours!!! We called, we stopped by a couple times & they kept saying she wasn't ready. On the 6th hr we went in & sat. We were informed it would be another 30 minutes. We sat & waited. I asked why it was taking over 6 hrs & the lady said, "We had some big dogs come in & we had to take care of them". I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORSE ENEMY!!! 6 1/2 hrs is torcher for a 5 month old puppy!!!! read more

Don't bother with this company. The last two times we had our two small dogs in, it took them 4-1/2 and then on yesterdays visit, 5-1/4 hours to groom them, even though we were told on the first occasion that we were assigned two groomers. It is obvious they overbook so as to not lose business. This last time, I was told 2-3 hours. I told them I had a busy day scheduled and needed confirmation of when our boys could be picked up. I called after 4 hours to be told "oh, she is working on them right now, but it will be another hour". When my wife called back to ask why there was a delay, the owner denied that they tell anyone 2-3 hours for two small dogs. We asked for some "compensation" since we missed our long awaited tax preparation appointment with our accountant, and now have to wait another 2 weeks to get our taxes done. That "compensation" turned out to be a $10 discount and they waived the credit card service fee. Big deal! Go elsewhere. We are. read more

For three occasions I have brought my dogs to Paws for Elegance for baths & brushing - each time with good results. Today I brought my dog in for a full grooming including cutting his coat - the work was satisfactory but I was stunned by the cost of the service. My dog is a giant breed and I was quoted $75-85 for the work with a little uncertainty of the exact amount, I willingly agreed to be a bit flexible. When I arrived to pick him up, I was presented with the amount of $125. When I asked the business owner what happened to cause such an increase, the response was ums and not sure. I will always pay for a service I have requested, however I will not be requesting the services of this operation again. Shame. read more

I called ahead to be sure I could get my pooch in and was told as long as I was done by 530 I was fine. I arrived at at 5:02 to a locked door. Nicole unlocked the door and informed me in a gruff fashion that they stopped taking dogs at 5:00. I told her I had just spoke to her on the phone 10 minutes prior. We love their self serve dog wash! We took our 6 & 7 month old, large breed, puppies in to get them bathed. They were ever so helpful in so many ways (shampoo, ever-itching pups, and large breed tips ). And later, when we needed some suggestions from them, they were fast to respond (via email), and oh so helpful. Later, we had their nails trimmed, and they were so wonderful with our (so very spoiled) pups. I'm very grateful for their generosity, and their loving personalities towards our pups.
