Been going to Fran and friends for years and the place was great when Fran was the owner. Then the ownership changed. I sent my dog there a while ago and they cut him during his grooming and then never told me. So I never went back. Then I met my groomer Barbara, who convinced me to give them a second chance. Barbara was amazing! She fit me in her schedule last minute and took awesome care of my Senior dog. He felt completely at ease with her, she listened to him and made sure he was not anxious and tailored the groom for his quirks. Then they lost Barbara. She no longer works there which is a shame. They lost my business when they lost Barbara. I do not trust them with my senior dog, esp since it's the same ownership. If anyone knows where Barbara is now please let me know so I can get my dog groomed by her. read more

I've been using friends for a number of years. Usually the service is very good but unfortunately I don't know who's taking over but I took my dog last weekend the person checking the dogs in would try to drag my dog back to the area for her to be kept. Then when I got my dog back for a bath and having her nails done she's been scratching all week long. I don't know what kind of cheap shampoo they used but I will not be taking her back ever again. The only place I trust for my sweet 15 year old pug who is deaf and nearly blind. They take such good care of her. Been going here for about 3 years now. In case someone's wondering why I would get a pug groomed, she has a double coat and sheds quite profusely twice a year. The shorter cut helps her stay cooler in summer and it's a bonus that she looks like a puppy again. Fran and Friends are wonderful people . If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I brought my small winner dog in at 10:21 this morning I didn't get her till 12:40 I had to walk in and ask if she was ready and they told me she was but didn't even bother to call! I called them once after it was an hour and they said she would be ready in 20 min ...37 min go by still not ready ! When I got her she looked exactly as I left her ! Her nails were badly trimmed she looked frightened when I got her !!! Horrible place it even smells and looks gross . DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE IF TOU CARE ABOUT YPUR DOG !! read more

I took my Wheaton Terrier to Fran & Friends this morning for a bath and nail trim ONLY, with explicit instructions not to do any trimming. They said he had matting and they would need to groom him, so I told them to do nothing and I would pick him up. They shaved him to 1/2" then refused to let me have him until I paid for full grooming. They are ripping off their customers! I will never go back here again! read more

This place is the WORST! I brought my puppy there for a basic grooming... she's a catahoula leopard dog, short hair, low-maintenance. I picked her up and she smelled as if they sprayed her with Febreeze. She was FILTHY. I swear they cleaned her with a diaper wipe. The BIGGER issue, however, was when I called and spoke with a manager to complain. They told me to come back for a, "redo", which I did a few weeks later. They then had the audacity to charge me full price less 10%... same deal that they offer to a first time client! When I called RUDE Fran out on the carpet, she let me know (in front of her laughing employees... gee, super professional!) that, "there were plenty of other options in town if I, 'didn't like it,'" Well, Fran, you're correct! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dixie's. Lisa is the owner and could NOT be sweeter, more accommodating or grateful for my business. Shame on you, Fran. Oh, and your shop is filthy, too. read more

Liz did a wonderful job grooming my 65lb Goldendoodle. She listened to my requests and he looks perfect. Sometimes he looks funny for a few days after his grooming appointment with his fresh blowout but he looks fantastic and I'm so happy. The customer service from start to finish was amazing and everyone I spoke to was so friendly and nice. It took about three and half hours which is typical/expected. After years of using this groomer on a multitude of dogs we have had we are moving on to a different groomer the service has fallen off lately and the quality is gotten terrible the biggest thing is they do not listen to your request they just do what they want and shorter is better I guess in there opinion so I can tell you don't take a golden doodle mine was butchered with a terribly short haircut two times in a row after I told them not too then all you get is a excuse that we will do better next time. I absolutely had a wonderful experience at this place. First off, they had a busy day but was willing to squeeze me in. Everyone was so friendly, fun, and nice at this place where it made me feel comfortable leaving my puppy there. They were efficient with the groom and my lil Koa looked great after!! Fran did a wonderful job on our 12 week old toy schnauzer Lola! We interviewed 7 groomers and Fran absolutely shined above them ALL! We don't crate our puppy and she did not crate her one time. She was gentle with her and very professional to start little Lola with training her to groom. Lola just loved Fran and all of her staff. We were so anxious about her grooming and Fran exceeded our expectations and has "fur"ever customers now! I hands down recommend that you bring your fur babies to Fran and Friends! read more

Love this place!! I have 2 Italian greyhounds that need nail grinds every few weeks. One is timid and needs someone to hold him. Other salons have given us issues or wanted to charge more to hold our timid one. We have also run into long waits for nail grinds at other salons. None of that here. They are very friendly and accommodating . With several groomers and assistants they have been able to work us in quickly. I have never used the grooming service but all groomers seemed good and were interacting with their dog client really well. Nice salon which will be my go to now. read more

Update to prior review. Fran illustrates her poor business acumen and customer service in her reply to another review I wrote by placing blame back on the customer. After the treatment she gave my wife and I, I will not rest until this place shuts it's doors. By stating "We maintain a friendly professional relationship with all our customers and we expect the same from our customers" you imply I was not professional nor friendly. To the contrary, we expressed our frustration in-person the first time this occurred in February for his puppy cut. We in good faith gave you another chance to redeem yourself. I was exceptionally friendly when I dropped our dog off at 8am and explicitly expressed he needed to be ready by 1PM. Upon arrival at 3PM and despite my extreme frustration with you, I remained calm and gave you every opportunity to offer us a discount for the service you FAILED to perform. You dismissed your failure as nothing and insisted I pay the full price of $70. Your response to me in-person, your response below, as well as other reviews is to deflect responsibility away from you and onto your employees and customers. UNACCEPTABLE! Your suggestion you know anything about professionalism or customer service is laughable given this situation. Since I see you read and respond to these messages, I challenge you with these questions - Is it reasonable that ANY dog be caged in your back room for HOURS if they have an appointment; particularly the very first appointment of the day, which was made a few weeks ago? An appointment by definition means you have planned for the service you are to provide. Clearly you cannot do this as you have failed us twice in a row. What's worse, you told us specifically you bumped our dog to take someone else ASAP, and it was your new employee's fault. If you are the professional you say you are, you would have accepted responsibility and offered at least some type of discount, etc. read more

I keep giving this groomer the benefit of the doubt, but I've had it! We drop our dog off very first thing in the morning (8 am) for a promised early pickup time, and for the second time in a row, they seem to save our puppy who is under one year for last! The last time he wasn't ready until one hour after they closed! We have been going there for years since we got our first dog, but i haven't been happy for a while. I ask for cuts and they seem to just "shave" it all off despite clearly asking them not to (I know sometimes groomers have to but in our case we don't show up with a matted dog, etc.). Do yourself a favor and explore better grooming options. read more

These are the absolute sweetest and kindest people! They take such great care of our dog whenever we go for grooming. One day I had my two kids and my dog trying to get out of the car to get into the shop. One of the employees came outside to meet me so I didn't have to unload my kids. It was so nice! My rescue dog needed to be groomed badly. Fran let us walk in without an appointment and got to work on him right away. He had a LOT of fur and over 100+ ticks on him and she got all of them off! This was our first time using Fran and Friends. I am so glad we found them! We have two Standard Poodles. Mackenzie just groomed our 7 month old puppy and she did a fabulous job. What is really nice is how she brought him out to us and made sure to ask if his cut was what we wanted. She also said a couple of times that she would love to groom him again, as well as our other dog. This place is wonderful! My dog has recently had a very bad reaction to his shots and has been on heavy medications that suppresses his immune system, so he cannot be around other dogs. They did not know me and they were so accommodating, unlike the grooming place I have been going to for 10 years. They took such great care of my little guy and rushed him through the process so I can get him out quickly. He looks awesome and I am sure he feels better too! This place has such a positive feeling, you can tell the dogs are loved and well cared for. I so appreciate them being so accommodating and loving to my dog! We've been taking our Maltese-Bichon mix for grooming on a monthly basis to Fran & Friends since they opened. We've been very pleased with the results and regularly change up the cut and service, which they handle really well.
