My puppy Bitsy with Paws on a Path's Pirate
    Kelly B.

Thea has watched our dogs for us going back many years. After being dog-free for a while, I have a new puppy and needed her watched while I was out of town. She was still so little, an escape artist, and I couldn't imagine leaving her at a more commercial boarding facility where she'd be sleeping in a kennel at night without a person nearby. She would have been traumatized! Thea was the answer! I knew Thea would take the best care of her, give her personal attention, and it wouldn't feel scary for my pup. I'd get photo updates during the day and my pup got to learn some socialization skills with the dogs who live on the property. Bitsy came back happy and calm and with a little more experience under her belt. I would absolutely recommend Paws on a Path to anyone and when I need her watched, Paws on a Path will be my first phone call.

Look at this stunning photo Thea took of our two pups (+doggy friend) and sent to us!

Thea was so friendly and responsive to my calls and texts & I highly recommend using her doggy care services. Our dogs boarded for 5 nights, which we booked very last minute and she was able to accept the booking. She collects and drops off the dogs, she was very flexible with our schedule. The pups absolutely loved their stay and Thea sent photo & video updates during their stay, which made us so happy! I will 100% be using Thea in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fun, dog holiday for the pups!! Her pricing is also reasonable compared to most dog boarding places in the Los Angeles/Malibu area + the dogs have 20 acres of land to explore.

Thea and her group are truly amazing!!! My clients often need last minute boarding for their dog, and they have always accommodated us. Their dog has the best time with them and well cared for. Thea often sends update pics and videos to make them feel very comfortable while they are away. We definitely recommend Thea and Paws on a Path for all dog needs.

She also worked on his place command, and now he stays calmly on his bed until released, which has made having guests over so much easier. One of the things that really stood out was how Jennifer took the time to get to know us as well as our dog. She found out we have a horse background and used that to our advantage--explaining training techniques in ways that made total sense to us. She gave examples that tied into the horse world, which made the process so much more intuitive and familiar. She also helped address Maverick's excitement around other dogs, which stems from his strong herding instincts. With Jennifer's guidance, he's now calm and focused on us. Jennifer is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and truly cares about setting both the dog and owner up for long-term success. We're so thankful for the transformation she helped us achieve with Maverick!

We rescued our puppy, Bailey, at 10 weeks old and realized as she grew that we wanted professional help, especially to build her confidence. From our first in-person meeting, Bar was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in our goals. We decided the board and train program was the best fit, and although it was hard leaving Bailey at first, Bar's beautiful property and regular updates gave us complete peace of mind. When we reunited, we were amazed by Bailey's progress. Her obedience, leash heeling, and responsiveness exceeded our expectations. Just as importantly, Bar spent time training *us* so we could confidently continue reinforcing everything at home. A few days later, when we returned for an in-person session, Bailey completely lit up when she saw Bar, running straight to him for affection. That moment said it all. We're incredibly grateful and look forward to continuing (and possibly advancing) her training. **Highly recommend Bar's K9 Dog Training.**

I left shampoo too. I came back to find him with 25% of this hair missing, covered in open wounds and some old scabbed over ones. The tech told me that he was confined to his cell the whole time since some dog owners don't like pitbulls and this is a rule they have there. Would have been nice to know this "before" I picked him up after two weeks. The tech said that he had had no baths and was in his cell 100% of the time, which also means he was defacating there. No wonder he was a mess when I collected him. He had also gained four pounds since he had not been exercising, not to mention he had not been allowed to be with any other dogs the whole time, and they hadn't taken him out of his cell which means he didn't get much human contact either. My heart broke when I picked him up. And they still charged my credit card a day later.
