I couldn't possibly put into words how amazing Paws on Pine has been to us and our dog. We never had a walker in the city before-- Coal can be difficult to walk as his hound dog nose gets the better of him sometimes, and we didn't think pack walks would be fitting. After Paws on Pine was recommended to us by several people in our building, the rave reviews and individual walks had us sold. Heather came to do an initial meet and greet and her love for dogs just radiated. Coal has some separation anxiety and we have always been very mindful about his care while we have to be away. We know with Paws on Pine that our dog is in the best hands. We love getting the post-walk texts and pictures letting us know how much fun Coal had on his walk around the neighborhood. What has always stood out to me about Paws on Pine though isn't just the care that we know our dog receives when he is with them, but the way that every walker carries themselves when I seem them out in our building or in the neighborhood. They always have a smile on their faces and if they see me with Coal, they introduce themselves and say hello. I have to start by saying I NEVER post a review. However, Paws on Pine is worth this. Paws on Pine is the greatest thing that could ever happen to pet owners in lower Manhattan. Heather comes for the initial visit and right away you can tell she LOVES animals. This was the first time we had to leave our kitties alone in 3 years. We couldn't have been happier with the service. Heather came to our apartment to meet the kitties and right away we felt comfortable. Being able to see Rocky and Lily every morning and night made us feel at ease. With Paws on Pine, you get pictures every visit and get to see your fur babies and talk with Heather as she gives you an update on how they are doing. Paws on pine is very reasonably priced and the care and communication you get is priceless. Our crazy kitties definitely gave Heather a run for her money but we couldn't be happier with the service and would recommend her to anyone and everyone with a pet!! Thank you Heather for such a great service!! Bottom Line: if you are a pet owner in lower Manhattan, you're CRAZY if you trust your pets with anyone else than Paws on Pine. I'm the same as Sofia in these reviews. 100 stars would be more accurate. We had a new dog, and needed this type of service. Having worked with dog behavior, I think its crucial who and how your dog interacts with. Mine was a shelter pit bull, and a puppy to boot. She is a good dog, but too smart for her/our own good sometimes ! Heather is amazing and involved. She cares about who she hires .. in an obvious way of working - not just lip service. Paws on Pine personnel are with your ( in my case, our child!) and they also enter or stay in your home. She gets that. We have experienced great walkers, but Heather set us up with Sam Y. Who is perfect for our little pittie. A really great demeanor with the dogs. He is engaged, and therefore provides attentive care, is communicative, and has alerted us to his own observation/concerns. My dog LOVES him. She goes good crazy if she sees him even from afar in the neighborhood! The first time we left her, it was for a week! nerve-wracking, except it was Sam pet-sitting. After that trip I realized I had total peace of mind even beyond the dog walking. My dog had a blast. With Heather at the helm, and Sam, I am never worried about Paws on Pine service. read more

We recently used Paws on Pine to dog sit our two neurotic Italian Greyhounds for the weekend. We moved to NY about 4 years ago and the dog sitter we initially used wasn't available anymore. After checking out the Paws on Pine flyers, following them on Instagram and reading the all the reviews out there, I thought would give them a try. I reached out to Heather and she immediately got back to me with information, rates, availability and the proper paperwork that made me feel like this was the right choice. Xavi came by about a month before we were scheduled to leave to meet us and our kiddos and we felt even more at ease. Xavi took great care of them and our home while we were away this past weekend sending me constant updates and photos. Once I received the first email from Xavi after he got to our apartment and did the first walk, I felt a sense of relief that our IGs were in great hands for the weekend and i was then able to enjoy our trip. I know the dogs were well taken care of and very spoiled! I now feel more comfortable with going out of town and leaving our dogs now that we have found Paws on Pine. If you are looking for people who will love your animals like you do look no further. Paws on Pine is the best dog walking / pet sitting service we have ever had. Heather and Nick are so wonderful. Every time they walk our dog we get the cutest photos and a detailed update which is so nice when you are away from your pet all day. Plus our dog and cat love them and get excited when they see they are going for a walk with the Paws on Pine staff. One other thing is they walk the dogs individually which is so great and way safer than dog walkers who walk giant groups of dogs at once. She has also watched our cat a few times and everything was great. One other thing that I so appreciate is Heather's attention to detail and communication. If I ever email her with a question or to have her add on a walk she always gets back to me right away. I have had other dog walkers in the past that take awhile to get back to you and that has never been the case with the Paws on Pine team. I can't say enough good things about Heather and her team. Not only are they kind, responsive and easy to work with, they treated my new pup like royalty! They were on time, accommodating, and reliable... I never had to worry about scrambling to find coverage, and they even helped with last minute changes when I was in a bind. Not to mention that my dog, Tate, absolutely loved them!! They followed my (many!) guidelines for my 10 month old pup, who has a lot of learning to do and needs boundaries! It's unbelievable the amount of thought, devoted care, and knowledge Heather and her team put into the care of my English Bulldog. He is stubborn, allergic to everything, and particular about most people. So to say the least, he is a high maintenance diva. Heather and Xavi have taken the time to get to know his personality and quirks and also keep him on a diligent schedule. I have been using Paws on Pine three-four times a week since July and not once have they ever been late or forgotten an appointment. Paws on pine is such a great company. I have worked with many of their walkers and we have had great experiences with all of them! I have two very stubborn french Bulldogs and each walker has worked great with my girls. Every time we use paws on pine the walker texts us updates on how our dogs did and they send photos. It's very comforting knowing what great hands we leave our dogs in. They also ask prior to working with you if there are any specific requests that you have when they are with your pets Each time I have booked walks they have been rather last minute and heather is always so accommodating and always fits us in. She is very responsive and has always been so flexible and willing to work with our schedule. She was unbelievable when I went into labor and sent someone to care for our pup while we were in the hospital.
