Stacey has been grooming my dogs ( a dachshund, a chihuahua and a poodle mix) for eight plus years. My dogs love her. She is kind and loving to them. This place has been a godsend for us since we found out years ago that there is an excellent teeth cleaner for our lil' chihuahua Keeper! The oral specialist (Victoria) does amazing work and our dogs teeth are so white when she's done. She also takes the time to answer questions I have. I didn't even know there was such a thing. I thought we had to spend hundreds of dollars and put our lil' guy under anesthesia and get a prophy at the vet! Not necessary. This is such a relief to have found Paws Place. We just moved to the area and found Paws Place grooming by looking up local groomers and reviews and Paws place won me over by reviews 1st. I have 3 little girls Mattie, Bella, and Lucy whom are super spoiled and loved and I am VERY picky about who I leave them with for any services ( I'm sure many of u can relate). We recently became fur parents. We noticed she was getting a few rough patches to brush. My easy way out is have a professional handle it. This place was 6 min away from our home so I decided to call. Surprisingly they had an appt available July 4th. On arrival she saw the same troubled areas as we did (to the naked eye) once we came to pick her up. She informed us that the previous owners and our last groomer, ignored her hidden tangles..our Penelope did come back completely different than the last time we took her to get washed and brushed. This is a wonderful place to take your fur babies. My mom's dog goes every week for a bath and every 6th week for a groom. My mom's dog is so excited to go every Tuesday. Family owned business. Staff is very friendly. My mom's dog look absolutely different after her haircut! She looked young and very happy. When I picked her up my dog was content and not at all upset which tells me the staff treated her with kindness cuz she is a big wuss. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. Very disappointed in business practices. I called 5 hours (and at closing time) after I dropped my dogs off for their appointment only to be told they were just starting my second dog and he would not be ready for another 45 minutes at 5:45 pm. I had to be somewhere at 6pm! Then when I got there they gave me a price I wasn't expecting only to be told by the receptionist "she decided to add a couple dollars for each of your dogs". No call telling me they were running late. No notice they were raising the fees on my dogs. No attempts to keep me as a customer. I've been coming here for years and like the job they do, though they have a tendency to miss toenails. Good groomer with horrible business practices. Will be looking for a new groomer as she clearly has too many customers now. read more

They have moved locations. Took my cat for a nail trim today and waited about 15 minutes. It's always taken less than 5. The front lobby was trashed inside. Products thrown all around on the floor and boxes everywhere. The lobby was a total dump. The lady brings her out and she's covered in piss and has crap inside her carrier. She said the dogs must have scared her. Yeah no sh*t. Didn't even bother to wipe the bottom of her carrier and just gave her back to me that way. Glad it was still only $5.00. We love Paws Place! We've been taking our dogs to Erin for about 10 years. They've been so accommodating to us, even when I've asked at the last minute if it's okay for me to bring in my four dogs. They've just moved to a new location, and are still organizing, but it's all there. I'll be driving a little further, but I think it's wonderful that they've been able to buy their own place! It's cute, and has plenty of parking. I usually get Express Baths for my little dogs. The Express Bath includes bath, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, and nail clip. The price is so worth it!! They obviously treat my dogs kindly and gently, because my dogs are always excited to go there and they smell so clean when I pick them up. read more

If you have a small dog who is nervous anyway, DON'T TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! i had taken my little dog there twice before for a nail trim. NO PROBLEM. This Saturday I stopped by with Jack for a nail trim and they were able to take him right away. For some reason it was taking longer, probably because it was a Saturday and there were more dogs there than normal. It was loud and lots of dogs were barking and whining. This probably made my dog even more afraid. When the lady came out she advised me to never bring him back and that I should take him to a vet instead to have his nails trimmed. She said it took 3 PEOPLE TO MAN HANDLE HIM! Who does that to a little dog? Why didn't she just tell me that it wasn't a good day instead of traumatize him and make me feel horrible! He HID for the next couple of days so traumatized. When I could get a look at his face I realized that he had a swollen right eye that he couldn't even open. Thanks for manhandling my little dog to the point that you actually scratched and bruised his eye. You guys SUCK! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMENDED YOU TO ANYONE! read more

This review of Paws Place Grooming is long over due! I have been taking my cats to Paws Place for years and they always do a great job. One of my cats is a long hair Himalayan and requires extensive grooming to keep her coat in good condition. Every time I take her in, she comes out looking amazing. My other two short hair cats go in less frequently for an occasional bath and nail clip. The staff and owner are very nice and incredibly good at what they do. If you have a puppy or a nervous dog do NOT use this groomer. I took my 6 month old puppy here and stated this was his first grooming experience. The male at the front was nice when I asked what I was paying for since they weren't able to groom all of him. Then the larger lady from the back came out and was very rude from the start. She stated multiple times my puppy was untrained for grooming when it was his first time and he isn't allowed back until he has training from someone. Anytime you do something for the first time no one is perfect. No he isn't a perfectly trained dog at 6 month. Training takes more than 6 months to be perfect. His whining set the other dogs off which she was mad at me for as if I could control that when I'm not there. He also wouldn't hold still so that made their job more difficult which also mad her mad, of course. Puppies don't sit perfectly still for extended time. Then as I'm paying and she is holding my dog she whisper to him, "you are out of puppy jail now since mom actually paid." I left as soon as I could after this remark before I went off. They dog shamed me for my puppy being a puppy. He was in full body shakes the whole way home! Once he had calmed down I used scissors, a few treats, calm and patient tone and was able to cut more of his hair than they did with no grooming experience. They are not calm, patient, or kind with young dogs or people, unless your dog just makes their job easier. Seemed and slight trouble given to them they were mad for the extra hassle. Had they told me they can't handle a puppy or puppy instincts before hand this would be a different story. They fact I was able to do more within an hour at home made me realize they just gave up and just wanted my money, or else he would still be in puppy jail! read more
